Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I sent a letter to XXXX XXXX requesting that they Validate NOT verify a debt that they are attempting to collect from me. Not because I was notified of any debt but because I saw it on my credit report however, I never received a response. As a result, I disputed the account with all three credit bureaus several times might I add, and each time I received a response of account verified as accurate and/or " meets requirement of the fair credit reporting act '' with no supporting documents. This was found not to be true when I finally received a letter from XXXX XXXX with a billing statement attached in XX/XX/XXXX stating debt is valid, attached is verification of the debt ''. A billing statement does not prove that this is my account/debt nor I am obligated to pay them. In addition to that I walked inside of a XXXX store and asked would they be able to provide me with a signed copy of an original contract and was told no they could not. I would have to contact the creditor on my credit report and they could not provide me with any proof that no such account did or did not exist or of my inquiry. XXXX XXXX is reporting delinquent information to the credit bureaus that I am asking to be deleted.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: /XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX for the past several years has continued to pop up on my credit report. Every time I remind them that the original creditor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX found this account to have been fraudulenty opened in my name in a state I was not residing in at the time using my information via the internet and phone. I have been the victim of identity theft years ago. Convergent knows this a will pop on my report several times in the last several years and when I dispute the fraudulent account, they find its fraudlent from XXXX and delete. Then 6 months to a year later they try and collect again on a known fraudulent account hoping I will not dispute and they can make money ( so I've been told by one representative on XX/XX/XXXX. They are predatory. I have no outstanding bad debt and a good credit score, despite this fly by night operation popping up every 6 months to a year violating the FCRA and FDCPA laws about collections and reporting by being harrassing, providing false and intimidating talk and information relative to a known fraudulent account and attempting to collect on an already deemed fraudulent account. I have proof of them violating at least 6 different federal collections laws over the years. Friday, XX/XX/XXXX, without a call or mail to where I have lived and continue to live in Virginia ( not Florida ), they inserted on my credit reports. Laws state that a consumer must be served a dunning letter that state the alleged original creditor, amount alleged to be owed, the alleged date of oncurrance of alleged debt along with a required statement by law that identifies them as a debt collection company and the rights of the consumers. This never happens with this company. A true violation of consumer protections and rights. I pay all my bills monthly. I simply will not be harassed by this company by holding my good credit hostage in an attempt to extort money. I was told on XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX at XXXX XXXX via phone that I should " just pay the XXXX dollar bill '' even though it wasn't mine because he " can do whatever he wants to get me to pay ''. I record and document my phone conversations with this company and file them away. It seems this company has a difficult time owning up to what constitutes " good business ethics and preactices ''. Please help.

Consumer Complaint: I have reached out to this creditor several different times to request the validation of a account in which they claim I owe XXXX dollars, I ask them to provide me with copies of any documentation associated with this account bearing my signature and they have yet to provide me with this information. My first letter was sent certified mail on XX/XX/2018 and my second letter also sent certified mail was sent XX/XX/2018. By this company not validating the debt in a reasonable time frame they are in violation of the FCRA & FDCPA therefor I am requesting that the company delete the entry from all credit reporting agencies.

Consumer Complaint: I've tried to get it resolved, I never even open up a XXXX account in XX/XX/2010. So, when I reached out to the collection agency for validation, they sent me bills and said this is the verification. I told them that it is incorrect that, I never had a phone account just only prepaid with XXXX XXXX at the time. I was asking for validation to see a verifiable, validation of proof as in Consumer Contract with a wet-ink Signature on it, of the account listed above, Ive also explain to them how it goes against fcra. This wouldn't be the first time that, my identity was stolen.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2017 i added voice, the phone, to my XXXX account. The cost is {$20.00} per month. plus Carefree Minutes, World Select 300 for {$9.00} per month. I specifically made it clear that I want the international calling plan for XXXX XXXX. and that is the only reason I needed their phone. I use my cell phone for everything else. They also charged {$10.00} XXXX /month for rental of equipment. I BOUGHT the equipment I did not rent theirs. XXXX charged me {$9.00} per minute for my calls to XXXX. {$9.00} is supposed to be the flat rate for the month if the usage is under 300 minutes. I have complain to XXXX supervisors even up to their cooperate office. I was told that XXXX is not included in their World Select plan but because it was XXXX 's error in setting up this plan for XXXX they will honor it. They kept removing the excessive charges one month and then added it back the next month. XXXX now send me a bill for {$520.00} for international calls, equipment plus penalty. Convergent, XXXX 's collection agent is reporting this false claim to all the credit bureaus.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2018, I received a letter from XXXX XXXX stating that I owed a debt from XXXX XXXX in the amount of { {$640.00} }. XXXX XXXX agrees to settle the debt on XXXX XXXX behalf for {$540.00} in three payments on the following dates XX/XX/2018,XX/XX/2018XX/XX/2018. On XX/XX/2018, I completed the debt as agreed. XXXX XXXX stated they would contact all three credit bureau to update my credit and they would send a letter/notification to XXXX XXXX that the debt has been settled. I call XXXX XXXX to follow-up informing them it has been more than 30 days since this debt has been paid, and they have not sent the correct information to XXXX XXXX nor have they updated the three credit bureaus. XXXX XXXX is clearly in violation of the law by reporting incorrect information to the credit bureau. This debt should not be collectible, as I have completed the agreement of the settlement. I have called XXXX XXXX numerous times speaking with supervisors who have stated they would send a letter to XXXX XXXX, myself and also update the three credit bureaus, which they have fail to do. This company continues to hold my credit hostage and to violate the law.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX To Whom It May Concern : On XX/XX/XXXX while making a purchase at XXXX XXXX, I was given a receipt demonstrating that XXXX was providing services for $ XXXX/month. When I called to inquire the legitimacy of the amount for service, I was verbally told over the phone that yes service was {$19.00}. XXXX asked for my information including my social security and came to install their equipment the same week. The following month, I received a bill for {$56.00}, so I called and canceled because as a XXXX I could not managed {$56.00} and plus they told me it was {$19.00}. So in view of their trickery and deceit, I canceled their service. Three month later, XXXX reported my name for owing them an amount of XXXX for early cancelation fee. First of all, I never signed a contract with XXXX so I was totally unaware of the terms of their service. So when I called to inform them that I was unaware of their terms and requested the contract, they forwarded the attachment document in ( EXIBIT A ). As soon as I receive the document, I realized that someone had forged my signature in their contract which I was seeing for the very first time. I do not sign that gibberish language on their contract. I always sign my name in cursive as you may see in my XXXX Lease Document ( EXHIBIT B ). Since then, I have gotten married but my signature style has not changed. I still sign my name the same way, simply in cursive writing. Please see ( EXHIBIT C / D ). In addition to forging my name, on XX/XX/XXXX ( 3 years from the date I last received service ). XXXX sold the debt to XXXX XXXX a new debt on my credit report. Please see attached : XXXX Contract with fraudulent signatures Apartment Lease with my Original Signature Drivers Liscence Signature / Social Security Signature Police Report of fraudulent signatures Than you in advance for investigating this matter.
