Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Information belongs to someone else
Consumer Complaint: I've written several letters to XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and the original creditor that is reporting this inaccurate information regarding a derogatory account with XXXX and to no avail have they even attempted to fully investigate the accuracy of this account. However after I requested to see something bearing my signature I received the attached paper which does NOT bear my signature nor the correct spelling of my name. I am demanding again that this inaccurate information be removed from my credit reports as it is having a negative effect on my credit rating.

Subissue: Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Consumer Complaint: I am being unfairly treated by convergent outsourcing and their refusal to remove an incorrect and illegally reported collection account from my credit report. I have consulted local and state consumer protection agencies with assistance regarding the credit reporting of the above referenced account. Specifically, I have sought advise as to recently discovered adverse credit remarks on my credit report. I was informed that both the Fair Debt Collection Practices act and California XXXX Fair Debt Collection Practices Act protect consumers against unfair collection practices and malicious persecution. I have determined that convergent outsourcing is prohibited from submitting information relating to me with regards to the paid collection in question to any consumer reporting agency if they have been notified by the consumer that the information is inaccurate pursuant to 15 U.S.C 1681 ( S-2 ). I hereby remain adamant that should I have been given the opportunity to dispute or pay, I would have exercised my rights as prescribed by law. For the record : I was NEVER in receipt of your original dunning notice allowing me 30 days to dispute this debt, or satisfy this debt and avoid any negative marks on my credit record. Therefore, the information you submitted is inaccurate and must be removed. Unless you have compelling evidence to prove otherwise, I demand that you immediately withdraw all negative credit reporting and delete this from my credit reports. Should this item remain on my credit report and you refuse to remove it after the filing of this complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the California Department of Justice, I will have no choice but to seek legal action against you. I hope you cooperate with my request.

Consumer Complaint: I cancelled a phone service I had gotten for the business ( I paid cash for the cell phones ) the services were never used and the account was cancelled within 15 days and never used. I called to verify with XXXX and they said it was all true and not to worry as the accounts were cancelled and never used. Then I got a bill from convergent and called them they were not reachable, the bill states to pay {$190.00} and the whole thing is over instead of an amount am not sure how they came up with {$240.00}. I didnt have much time to deal with this so I sent a check, now I look at my credit report there is both a collection and a settlement for a service I never received.

Consumer Complaint: I was notified on XX/XX/XXXX that Convergent Outsourcing, Inc., had put a collection notice on my credit reports with XXXX and XXXX, which was apparently reported on XX/XX/XXXX. This is for XXXX XXXX. In XXXX or XXXX XXXX, I contacted XXXX XXXX. They apparently provide cable in XXXX XXXX, which is where the account was set up. I have never lived in XXXX XXXX and have never opened any type of account with XXXX XXXX. I had never even heard of them. XXXX XXXX informed me that the account was fraudulently opened and is identify theft in XXXX. A police report was filed with a police department in the City and State where I live. Previous reports on my credit report of this debt from a different agency were removed in approximately fall or XXXX of XXXX. XXXX shouldn't be allowed to continue to mess with my credit this way. I've submitted disputes again against the Convergent Outsourcing, Inc. reporting. They shouldn't be able to do this either.
