Consumer Complaint: CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING ( a collection agency ) has placed derogatory information on my credit report. The alleged debt is for : {$1300.00} and the original creditor is : XXXX XXXX. I HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS ACCOUNT. In addition to that pursuant to the FCRA, FCBA and the FDCPA I never received any written notice at any time to notify me of their attempts to collect on this alleged debt. Pursuant to the federal law my rights were violated as a consumer and the have violated a federal law. Especially for placing invalid derogatory information on my credit reports and they should not be allowed to get away with this unfair practice

Consumer Complaint: Convergent Outsourcing, INC is reporting a frivolous debt to my credit reports that are not legally owed to them. I have never in my life done any type of business with this company. They are reporting that I owe them {$490.00}. When did I receive {$490.00} from Convergent Outsourcing, INC? I have never received any sum of money nor any merchandise from this company! I have never spoken to anyone from this company before nor have I ever visited this company so how is it that I owe this company money? There is no legal contract that is binding me to Convergent Outsourcing , INC . I have asked them to provide me with proof that I indeed owe Convergent Outsourcing, INC and also provide me with a legal contract with my wet ink signature as well as the wet ink signature of the representative from their company that shows any money I received from them as well as my promise to pay them. They have not provided me with any of the requested documents. I have also asked them to provide me with proof that this frivolous debt wasn't bought from another company in which they haven't provided me with that either. Instead, they sent me a bill from XXXX from XX/XX/2014, in which I have never had XXXX service. I have been a customer of XXXX XXXX for over 15 years. I have called XXXX on several occasions and asked that they provide me with documents or a contract of service so that I can file a fraud report with the authorities in which they couldn't provide me with any proof. So Convergent Outsourcing, INC what is binding me to your company? What makes you think that I owe your company money? When did I do business with Convergent Outsourcing, INC? Where is the contract that shows that I lawfully owe Convergent Outsourcing, INC money?

Consumer Complaint: I noticed on XX/XX/2020 that Convergent Outsourcing had added a collections account to my credit report on XXXX. Upon noticing the addition, I promptly disputed the account with the credit bureau on the grounds that the account is not mine and I am not responsible for the account, and on XX/XX/2020 the dispute was resolved in Convergent 's favor without any documentation or verification of the debt. The following week, on XX/XX/2020, I sent a letter to Convergent requesting a validation of the debt since I had received absolutely no communications from Convergent leading up to the time of the account being added to my credit report. I requested details including proof they own the debt, verification that I am responsible for the debt, and all documents related to the account. That letter was ignored in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Act.

Consumer Complaint: After reviewing my credit profile on XX/XX/2020 I identified a discrepancy with an account listed under Convergent Outsourcing and validation was requested on XX/XX/2020. On XX/XX/2020 I reviewed my credit profile again as Convergent Outsourcing had not responded nor was the account reflected as disputed. Therefore a 2nd validation request for the account was sent out on XX/XX/2020. Credit report was reviewed again on XX/XX/2020 and the account was still reflecting on my report and I do not believe the account belongs to me nor that the creditor has authorization to legally to attempt to collect on this account and the account continues to negatively affect me. Please strike and remove the account from all 3 credit bureaus until adequate validation has been received proving that the account belongs to me and that all information is correct.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020, I worked out an arrangement with Convergent Outsourcing to settle a XXXX account that originally belonged to XXXX. The agreement was that if I paid XXXX XXXX would cease all collection efforts on the account. I did pay the agreed upon amount and Convergent returned the remaining amount to XXXX, assuring me that all collection efforts would cease. After a couple weeks I noticed that XXXX had shown that the account had a XXXX balance, but was still listed as a collection account. I disputed this with XXXX and I got the attached dispute response when they show that was no longer listed as a collection account, but indicated that the account would remain on my credit for XXXX years. Yesterday, after paying XXXX {$29.00} I looked at my credit report and discovered that they had in fact not removed the account from the Collections section of the report. I contacted XXXX XXXX whom I have an account with, and asked what could be done to get the information corrected, as the credit bureau was still showing the account as a collection item and that was not what I had agreed to. That conversation is also enclosed and shows that they have also tried to get the information straightened out. I spoke to Convergent, and they told me that they reported it as a closed account, but they could not guarantee how the credit bureau reported it. I also attached a copy of the letter of agreement from Convergent.

Consumer Complaint: Convergent Outsourcing a debt collection agency has an unknown debt on my credit report. I have written multiple 609 letters and debt validation letters asking them to validate this debt to me by showing the proper proof this is my debt or remove it from my credit report. They have failed to provide any documentation and I have no knowledge of this debt. Nor have I given my personal identification to this company or the creditor they are representing. Also this same debt is being reported on my credit reports twice. Please have this debt removed from my credit reports as per consumer law they have not legally validated this debt and are inaccurately reporting to my credit reports.
