Consumer Complaint: Bank : Wells Fargo Type of card : general credit card Issue : incorrect charges on account ( for purchases never made ) and bank resolution of dispute. Over a period of a few days, three charges appeared on my account from XXXX. They were, with the dates as shown on my credit card account statements : 1. {$26.00} on XX/XX/2023, 2. {$26.00} on XX/XX/2023, 3. {$33.00} on XX/XX/2023. Of these, only the {$33.00} charge was legitimate. I did not make the other purchases. I submitted disputes to Wells Fargo as to the other two charges. Wells Fargo resolved the dispute as to the XX/XX/XXXX charge. Wells Fargo forwarded the false XX/XX/XXXX charge to its fraud department. I received a letter on XX/XX/2023, stating that the fraud dispute was denied. Upon contacting the Wells Fargo claims center, I was informed that because I had made purchases at XXXX before, this was a " dispute, '' rather than a " fraud '' ( as Wells Fargo understands those terms ), and that therefore there was no fraud. I was then informed that because the issue was analyzed as " fraud, '' it was considered resolved and could not be further pursued. For example, it could not be pursued as a " dispute. '' I was left with a false charge on my account. I was not the one who had forwarded the claim in question to the fraud department ; Wells Fargo did so through its Claims Center. I had provided Wells Fargo with all of the information as to the transactions in question, either in writing or through phone to the Claims Center. Wells Fargo was aware that I had made other purchases at XXXX. The terms " dispute '' and " fraud '' as Wells Fargo understands them are not legal terms of art that customers can be expected to understand. They are merely specialized internal terms that Wells Fargo uses. I am left with a false charge on my account due to the ineptitude of the claims team as to their own procedures and the inadequacy of said procedures for claim resolution. Furthermore, the procedures are affirmatively misleading.

Time and time again, Wells Fargo has disregarded my communication and ignored their responsibility to close her account and send her funds to me. Most recently, I followed up on Wells Fargo case number XXXX. Complaint XXXX is the latest step seeking information and resolution from Wells Fargo since XXXX, and with new urgency since XXXX, when Wells Fargo began issuing tax documents in my mother and father 's names, and as of last week, maintained an active mortgage account in their names, with annual tax assessments reported to the IRS as recently as XXXX and XXXX, despite Wells Fargo forcibly removing our family from the property in XXXX, to avoid foreclosure and after a denied loan modification after the death of co-owner, my mother, in XXXX. Wells Fargo has owned the mortgage since XXXX, and since then continues to list the property for sale with no buyers as of XXXX. The complaint about prior complaint XXXX is simple : Wells Fargo communicated to ME, and address to ME, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX " resolution would be confirmed XX/XX/XXXX, '' in a letter received today, XX/XX/XXXX. ALSO today, XX/XX/XXXX, Wells Fargo communicated to you -- CFPB -- as posted to the complaint, that Wells Fargo needed " an additional 60 days '' because they are having trouble " reaching our customer, XXXX XXXX ''. XXXX XXXX DIED XX/XX/XXXX. Wells Fargo has asked me, XXXX XXXX, on 3 SEPARATE occasions to provide death certificates for both my parents, XXXX and XXXX. On the Wells Fargo legacy mortgage account in my late parents ' names, the contact phone number, mailing address and email address are ALL my own contact. I have received NO CONTACT directed to me, or my dead father, XXXX XXXX, from Wells Fargo during this time. They know my dad is dead. And yet, they've told you they need 60 more days because they are searching for my dead dad. And 10 years later, an improperly denied modification forced a grieving family off the 30 acre farm we never missed a payment on, and remains empty and for sale ever since.

Of course I am being ignored because some reason you don't want me to get the XXXX you guys owe me for the pain and suffering I have been through since XXXX. I tell her I sent my application via fed XXXX overnight mailer I am told it wasn't received yet I have a signature. I said please find my mailer. I never heard back from her. I was send XXXX The date? Significance? All lawyer offices are closed. But I Already had a. Lawyer went and signed documents for defense XXXX The rest is on my docket at XXXX XXXX. My lawyer sent a discovery letter. One significant item how much was recruited in payout for insurance like PMI. Thai discovery item and all others never answered and we know the pmi was paid out after they told Me to be 90 days late. So we did a motion to compel discovery and no response. Case dismissed unfortunately without prejudice XXXX Me foreclosure case filed XXXX Unrelentlece souls. So we answer tyke complaints again no discovery answered all i get is mortgage application marked to me. For the sake of God I am in foreclosure. The Internet was a thing now. This same situation was happening to millions of people. They would start paying the trial modification 3 months as it says but then never get a permanent and then lose the house anyway. A total money grab situation. So my lawyer knew that was happening as well so I didn't want to lose my house anyway so my lawsuit continued. Weeks fargo hah me do a depo? Usually is the otherwise around but regardless by XXXX my mortgage went to nationstar They were ruthless as well. But truthful to the judge they had no original documents before a set trial XX/XX/XXXX. Trial continued. My mortgage must have been on the servicers auction because XX/XX/XXXX XXXX stated calling me. At the same time I lost my lawyer. I picked up a new lawyer but not before XXXX could offer him money. So set trial XX/XX/XXXX Lawyer didn't do a motion to compel discovery The night before trial i had to settle because There was no discovery and I childhood be homeless my daughter was still home and we had 2 big dogs. I did not receive the settlement to sign for a month there was verbiage in the settlement we didn't discuss. My home was taken by fraudulent means by paid off officers of the court to look the other way. To say wells fargo is not responsible for my home being stolen is an.understatement. Wells fargo by its actions was directly responsible for my foreclosure. By saying they didn't call me in their response??? They keep sending me the packet of trial modification documents. I told Them I wag in foreclosure how can I apply? The internet was a thing everyone thai paid one of those trials never hit a permanent modification and lost their homes.
