Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Consumer Complaint: My XXXX experienced difficulties resulting from the XXXX shutdown. We work closely with the Department of Defense and essentially there was no XXXX or training occurring. During this time we had credit card debt that we were slow to pay, namely with Wells Fargo Bank. We managed to pay a ~ $ XXXX card off in XXXX, but had another ~ $ XXXX outstanding. I spoke to a representative in XXXX, XXXX regarding my options and I was told at that time, the full amount was due with no exceptions ( payment plan, etc. ), other than an offer to settle at 80 % of the balance - again due right away. In XXXX, XXXX, we received $ $ from a family member in our Personal Wells Fargo account ( not business ) to purchase our son a used vehicle for his birthday. Wells Fargo took that money without notice and applied it to the debt owed. I proceeded to call to ask what was happening, what other options i had, etc. and was told by XXXX, our " representative '' that multiple attempts were made to settle with no response and that " time had passed. '' I reminded her that I called in XXXX and was told my only option at that point was to settle in full. She replied that there were other options, but they had not heard from me since, so this action was taken. I asked why would I contact them if I was told my only option was to settle in full, which I could not do at this time. She reiterated that is was done now and nothing else they can do. My last statement was " Wow, '' and she proceeded to hang up on me. This occurred on XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Credit card was declined for fraud reasons for valid payments to XXXX ( XXXX ) and XXXX. the same day, they approved several similar transactions from those two vendors, as I advertise online. this cost me $ XXXX in lost sales. The company never notified me of fraud concerns, but when I called them, they demanded that they had sent emails to me about fraud concerns. I checked my email, my spam, etc, and never got such emails. I have gotten them in the past, and immediately reply, to unblock the issue. in short : Wells fargo has records saying that they are sending fraud notifications that are not actually sent. they also have no way to adjust their fraud reporting for specific customers.

Consumer Complaint: Wells Fargo refused and dishonored my attempt to make deposits of negotiable instruments which are permitted by law. Wells Fargo corporate office sent a letter on XX/XX/2023 stating that the instruments which were checks drawn upon me to be deposited on demand by law and contained all requirements required by USC 3-104 and are payable on demand. Laws governing negotiable instruments were provided and still refused which caused financial hardship because of Wells Fargo negligence.

Consumer Complaint: The name on this mortgage is XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX, XXXX XXXX sent a registered security ( tracking # XXXX ) on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with instructionals to credit the account with the interest/dividend that was on the remittance coupon, also provided documention ( certified copy ) from the secretary of state showing that there are no liens under name and to provide a lien release XXXX from company showing that. Received a call from a XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and mail on XX/XX/XXXX indicating that the loan was valid and that the documentation from the secretary of state showing no liens was not valid nor was it notarized. But the secretary of state is the highest notary and the document that I sent was straight from them in addition to him saying my form of payment was invalid and that it has to be U.S dollars but right on Wells fargo website it shows the form of payments that can be used to pay. On XX/XX/XXXX I mailed the full payoff balance with the coupon ( tracking # XXXX ), power of attorney, federal reserve act section 16 ( Notes issues ) and section 29 ( Civil Money Penalty ) with instructional ( opportunity to cure ) to CFO XXXX XXXX XXXX instructing to apply principal 's balance to the principal 's account and requested a response in writing within 5 business days for non-performance of fiduciary duties or respond back in writing when instructions are complete. I then got a response via phone on XX/XX/XXXX and mail on XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX and executive office case specialist indicating to call back but i requested a response from the CFO in writing not a case specialist. At this time the account has still yet to be credited. Then i mailed a notice of default on XX/XX/XXXX ( tracking # XXXX ) with the same instructionals to CFO XXXX XXXX XXXX to apply principal 's balance to the principal 's account and requested a response in writing within 5 business days for non-performance of fiduciary duties or respond back in writing when instructions are complete, with federal reserve act 16,29 and another full endorsed payoff bill. I then received another call on XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX with no remedy. This is a violation of securities and a breach of contract.i have reached out to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency but they refered me to the CFPB.

Consumer Complaint: I am filing this complaint against Wells Fargo and XXXX XXXX XXXX. My mortgage loan was transferred from Wells Fargo to XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. Prior to transfer of my mortgage, my account was current with Wells Fargo. When my loan was transferred 10 months of payments to Wells Fargo " disappeared '' and/or were misapplied by Wells Fargo and did not port correctly to XXXX XXXX . Wells Fargo mortgage continued to assert to me that all my information was correctly ported over to XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX refused to talk to me because I was in a XXXX XXXX bankruptcy. However, behind the scenes they " ingested '' {$10000.00} worth of mortgage payments, applied them to my account, and then " reversed '' them from my account. Despite months of my pleading to XXXX and Wells Fargo, XXXX XXXX took me to XXXX XXXX Court to request a stay from relief so they could foreclose on my property at XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am attaching documentation showing my monthly payments to Wells Fargo including paying escrow shortages between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Between fall of XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, I was in a XXXX XXXX federally-sponsored COVID forbearance of my mortgage. I am filing a complaint regarding Wells Fargo misapplication of funds paid toward my mortgage and for not correctly transferring my payment history, monies paid, and account records to XXXX XXXX.

Issue: Other transaction problem
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: I have over 20 years experience with bank transfers of XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, escrows, etc. and the discrepancy for lost wire transfer by Wells Fargo Bank USA to bank in the XXXX is simply wrongful. Typically, when funds are sent to a closed account the receiving bank does not accept the funds and are returned within 3 to 5 business days. However, Wells Fargo has not returned the funds and has been evasive in providing any proof the funds have been received by the destination bank and the destination bank indicates no such funds have been received. I believe that Wells Fargo or an insider employee is abusing the XXXX system through undermining or lack of internal controls for the purpose of diverting funds to a holding deposit account. These funds are held for the purpose of their own use or could be an individual inside the bank. In normal case any issues with an executed wire transfer should be resolved in XXXX to 5 days ( e.g., sending funds to a close account or wrong IBAN number ). However, I believe Wells Fargo takes advantage of wire discrepancies with the aim to keep as abandoned funds. To substantiate this suspicion, I discussed the matter with an XXXX employee who confirmed he also had some discomfort with Wells Fargo internal controls or even compliance in this area and that it should be investigated. I have an historic account of the transaction investigation which still has not been resolved after 9+ weeks. Facts : Transaction date : XX/XX/2023 Amount : XXXX XXXX ( USD XXXX ) Several cases have been opened with Wells Fargo Bank each time them closing the case after responding that the funds are with the destination bank. The destination bank has been contacted several times and confirm that any funds sent to a closed account are not accepted and therefore Wells Fargo has the funds never leaving the bank.
