Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing issue
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: This was original complaint, the company answered but never researched as stated, if so, they would have gotten the same letter I did which shows this accident someone else and not me. I am attaching new evidence. I attempted to get insurance for my car through XXXX XXXX, and the rate quoted during quote was lower than when I went to check out. It stated I had an accident with injury on XX/XX/XXXX that I was at fault over, I talked to service person and they confirmed and gave me phone number and Reference number # XXXX. I contacted LexisNexis ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and over the phonean automated system took information and was going to send me a report which I still haven't received. Couple days later I contact LexisNexis again and talked with a lady who stated I had this on my report but with no injury and that it was an accident with a travel trailer that belonged to my ex wife in which she ran it into her house backing it in. I gave the lady from LexisNexis all information AGAIN and she was going to file a claim to remove. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter stating they can't find a file matching mine. So I tried to get XXXX XXXX again thinking it had been removed, but still shows against me. At this point I don't know how much extra I have paid since XX/XX/XXXX due to this and now they're playing games stating they have no information
