Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Subissue: Investigation took more than 30 days

Consumer Complaint: I want to contact someone at your company to let you know that I mailed a letter to XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and Lexis Nexis about the validity of this Bankruptcy that you have listed on my Credit Reports. I mailed this letter on XX/XX/2021 and not one of the 5 companies have sent any corresponding letters. I recently challenged the same account on the other Credit Bureaus and they came back stating that they have verified this account. I have went to the courthouse and they have also stated that THEY DO NOT VERIFY THIS INFORMATION TO ANY 3RD PARTY CREDIT BUREAUS OR AGENICIES. Please send me whatever documents of information you have personally used to verify this alleged Bankruptcy, immediately.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report

Consumer Complaint: Public Record from a Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy. On XX/XX/2021 I placed a request for suppression of my file with Lexis Nexis due to the inaccurate and derogatory item on my consumer report. On XX/XX/XXXX. 2021 I sent a letter out to XXXX, XXXX and XXXX notifying them that " I do not recognize this public record ''. At or around XX/XX/2021, I received a response via a credit report mailed to me, that the public record was verified by the US Bankruptcy Court. Frustratingly, I've contacted the court and they advised they do not report to the credit bureaus nor have they verified anything. On XX/XX/2021 I sent a letter to the three Credit Bureaus with an attached response from the U.S bankruptcy Court, advising " It is clear the court do not report to you or to any credit bureau for that matter, nor is a debtor 's full social security number reported ; therefore your original response verifying this item with the court was either an error or deceitful. Either way, the reporting requirements do not comply with FCRA 611 ( 15 U.S.C. 1681I ) and the information must be deleted immediately. XXXX removed this inaccurate reporting immediately, however, XXXX and XXXX did not based on their deceitful actions. On XX/XX/2021 I also sent a certified letter to Lexis Nexis that they received on XX/XX/2021 bringing to their attention of their erroneous, inaccurate data and request that they provide verifiable documentary proof, in additional to removal of this negative item. To date I have not received any correspondence, proof or removal of this file!

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report

Consumer Complaint: I have previously disputed these items with LexisNexis [ Bankruptcy Case # XXXX, XXXX, & XXXX ] and in response you verified the items are accurate, stating that you have verified the information with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court via PACER. I contacted the courts directly, and their response is enclosed. It is clear they DO NOT report to you or to any credit bureau for that matter ; therefore, your original response verifying the items with the court was either an error or a lie. Either way, the reporting requirements DO NOT comply with FCRA 611 ( 15 U.S.C. 1681I ) and the items in dispute on my credit report must be deleted immediately. ( Reference page # 7 & 8 ) In contradiction, you ( LexisNexis ) stated .... reported to LexisNexis by the nationwide consumer reporting agencies. ( Reference page # 3 ) On the other hand, I have numerous credit reports stating from the nationwide consumer reporting agencies that all public information was obtained through a third-party vendor, LexisNexis. ( Reference page # 5 ) Moreover, my name, address, and full social security number should NOT have been shared with any third party due to the security freeze I have and had on my credit files with a PIN from each credit bureau and your company LexisNexis. Enclosed are copies of ( highlighted ) documents supporting my position.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Subissue: Investigation took more than 30 days

Consumer Complaint: Related to reference # XXXX My wife called on XX/XX/2021 to dispute a judgement that appeared on her report and called back on XX/XX/2021 to confirm whether it was also on mine. After I gave the ok for her to talk to my wife, the phone rep confirmed it was on my report, and my wife asked that it be removed. She indicated a dispute had already been filed and it can take up to 30 days. 37 days later, the bank pulled our credit, and while it's finally been removed from my wife 's record, it's still on my mine ( though there's now a note that the judgment was released ). We called LexisNexis and were informed that a dispute was never initially filed under my name ... even though my wife was reassured numerous times over that once the resolution was provided, the judgment would be removed from BOTH reports. She called again today ( day 49 ) and still no resolution has been submitted. The phone reps are limited in their abilities and the " dispute team '' is unresponsive. Do I have to file a lawsuit to get this resolved!?

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report

Consumer Complaint: This complaint is a follow up complaint to LexisNexis and the egregious inaccurate information they are reporting on my credit report. They are continuing to report an inaccurate bankruptcy on my credit report, an account they have continuously verified as 100 percent accurate and complete. Most recently, on XX/XX/2021, LexisNexis has just certified and verified the information they are reporting is accurate and true. I disputed this information again via certified mail by USPS on XX/XX/2021. LexisNexis received this dispute on XX/XX/2021. I called today to inquire as to why they have not responded to my demand to delete the inaccurate bankruptcy, and they stated they did not receive the dispute. Even though USPS tracking has them in receipt of the dispute on XX/XX/2021, they claim to have no knowledge of the dispute. LexisNexis reported bankruptcy includes upwards of 4 different errors and inaccuracies. If I dispute these inaccuracies and LexisNexis verifies they are 100 percent accurate and complete, by law, per the FCRA they are required to DELETE the entry. This outcome is required with only 1 inaccuracy. LexisNexis bankruptcy reporting includes 4 inaccuracies. I spoke to XXXX today from LexisNexis
