Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: I have requested a bankruptcy on my credit report be verified and validated, and if it can not it must be deleted. I got notification that it had been verified but I also received a letter from US bankruptcy court that they do not verify and information with credit reporting agencies. So I was given false information as to the validity of this item knowingly and willingly ruining my credit report and character. It is against the law to report unverified information.
