Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 I sent a letter to the courthouse asking do the report bankruptcies to the credit bureas and I got a letter stating " They do not report any bankruptcies to anybody. ''So if that is the case, how did the credit bureas edify my bankruptcy as XXXX XXXX accurate. They never did a fair investigation according to the 15 USC 1681 15 USC 1681 section 603 ( 3 ) ( E ) States THE term " investigative consumer report " means a consumer report or portion thereof in which information on a consumer 's charcter, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living is obtained through personal interviews with neighbors, friends, or associates information shall not include specific factual information on a consumer 's credit record obtained directly from a creditor of the consumer. They also violated my rights numerous times. The credit bureaus violated my given rights under USC 1681. According to USC 1681 section 602 A States I have the right to privacy. On or about XX/XX/2022 regarding report number XXXX the correspondance state that XXXX conducted a reinvestigation but failed to provide me the result of this alledged investigation when XXXX XXXX staes in thers correspondance that they are able to verify the information on the bankruptcy in attemted to get consent when I have the right to privacy under USC 1681 section 102a states I have the right to privacy in both XXXX and XXXX XXXX both continue to violat 15 USC 1681 section ( 3 ) ( e ) I am requesting that the cfpb hold them accountable for the violations that are continuing as of this date XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: We opened our LLC business XX/XX/XXXX as XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. We recently started building our credit and we were getting denied then realized there was alot of inconsistencies on our business credit report. We have been denied with 9 inquiries for our business and creditors are told our business doesnt exist. We contacted Lexis Nexis XX/XX/XXXX about this situation. Lexis Nexis stated that they could not confirm our business information and asked us to scan our EIN letter and Articles and proof of address into them. We did this, and they stated they still could not confirm and said to allow them 60 days to investigate. We received a report by mail for XXXX XXXXXXXX. We contacted them by phone to advise them of the missing letter on the " enterprises ''. Again, they wanted us to send documents, we sent them and still the same info they sent to us is someone else 's business information which includes someone elses private financial information and sensitive information. We contacted Lexis Nexis again and requested to speak with a supervisor to resolve the situation. They stated a supervisor would contact us within 48 hours. A supervisor did contact us, but advised us we need to send in documents and that they could not start an investigation without the info. We advised her that we did send in documents 5 times, documents confirming our business was sent in multiple times. We informed her that they are pulling up the wrong business and to check the spelling on the business name and the Entity ID number. No resolution on this call. Stated there is nothing they can do. We called Lexis Nexis again to complain that the investigation of the business is NOT our business, the entity number and spelling of the business they sent us is different from ours. Also our business address was updated and that info was sent to them as well. attaching documents.

Consumer Complaint: I have tried numerous times to get this issue resolved with LexisNexis. Unfortunately, I am still unsuccessful in my quest... I have requested that they provide me with proof on how they verified the bankruptcy in question. Nothing! This issue is hindering my ability to maintain a lifestyle that includes caring for my child. Please assist me in having them update my public profile by removing this inaccurate account for bankruptcy filing. Although it is your policy to keep reporting bankruptcy that is filed, dismissed, or adjudicated for 10 years, the Fair Credit Reporting Act mentions nothing in Section 1681c relating to bankruptcy about dismissals or filings. The law clearly states from " date of adjudication '' or date of " order for relief. '' Any case, civil or otherwise, which is dismissed, no longer exists in the eyes of the law, and a case filed may never have been adjudicated. You have no right to maintain information which the government has deemed non-existent. It is only fair that in accordance with section 1681 ( a ) ( S ) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act you delete this from my credit report and send me an updated copy. Considering it does not require an investigation, I would appreciate your response within XXXX weeks from the date you receive this letter.

Consumer Complaint: This complaint is written concerning the serious FCRA Violations of Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions and the extreme physical and emotional damages they have caused me and my child, despite being warned nearly two years ago about their abuse of my personal information and continuing to report inaccurate information. In XXXX I tried to get homeowner insurance and after countless quotes as high as XXXX per MONTH one agency finally told me that Lexis Nexis was reporting that I had a serious claim against my homeowner insurance and that was the reason behind all of the extreme insurance quotes. Of course, I was shocked and beside myself due to the fact I Never Had Homeowner Insurance so the idea of having a claim against me was literally impossible! It took Lexis Nexis a year before they finally removed the inaccurate information, as it related to them breaking up my last name and only using XXXX when my last name is XXXX and I was promised at that time, they would take me out of their database and stop reporting inaccurate information and I was satisfied with that, so I didnt proceed with any legal action. Back this past XXXX, I began looking at the idea of applying for a USDA Direct Loan which is designed for Low and Very Low-income Consumers, and everything was proceeding positively until I was informed that I needed to clear up some things on my credit. I started disputing similar items on my credit report that were displaying under names I have never been known by and it seemed next to impossible, even after providing my drivers license and social security number, as I kept being told by the credit bureaus, my information does not match what they are receiving from their Data Sources. I had to continue to fight for months until I got positive action, at least with the majority of the inaccurate information. Shortly after thinking I had my credit report cleaned up, I noticed a section of my credit report that displayed that I was a business owner, specifically, a Retail Store at my home address and that began causing all sorts of problems, as it made me look like I was failing to report income. As well, it started causing strangers to show up at my door demanding their money back from some XXXX XXXX theyd lost money from. This went on for months on end, so I called XXXX and XXXX and neither of them knew how my address was being connected to their business and insisted that they were not using my address for business purposes. On three occasions I was approached by process servers wanting to serve me with legal papers related to my ownership of XXXX and XXXX XXXX, and it got so bad that I just quit answering my door. One man even broke my window saying he was going to get his money from me one way or another. The home I am living in has always been in the family name and the lady that owned it died in XXXX and never owned a business. The house sat vacant since XXXX, and I took possession of the Probate Home two years ago, so they cant even say it was a previous resident that ran a business from this address. After months of battling with Lexis Nexis and getting nowhere with the inaccurate information continuing to be reported, I was finally put in touch with someone I thought was going to clear up the constant misinformation so that I could proceed with buying a house, and during that time, I discovered that it was Lexis Nexis that was the source that was reporting me and my home as a Retail Business, as well as all the other information countless other serious misinformation. I explained to Lexis Nexis that the current home I am living in is sliding off the foundation and I have maybe a month or so before I need to move for our safety. Today, the whole attitude of that individual changed when I confronted them about this issue of serious misinformation and her final statement to me was The information isnt always accurate we dont have to be exact and statements like that. So, I now know that they were wasting my time and playing games. They further said, if they remove me from Lexis Nexis, I wont get approved for a home, so ultimately, they have left me and my daughter at very serious risk and this has caused so much stress and fear, it has affected my XXXX XXXX and I am back down in my chair for heaven only knows how long. I asked Lexis Nexis to disclose the places where they have sold the inaccurate information, and they stated that it is private and that they dont have to tell me. They further said that it's not their responsibility the retract the inaccurate information from the countless places that they sold the erroneous information to as the other bureaus are not theirs to deal with. They cant be responsible if XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX dont take the inaccurate information off my report, even though they are the cause of the erroneous information. This also includes the thousands of online databases that they have provided grossly inaccurate information.
