Consumer Complaint: This company is violating my consumer rights. I submitted a dispute regarding an inaccurate bankruptcy for which is being reported to the credit bureaus. The company failed to provide documentation stating where they received their information from. Rather, they claimed unable to authenticate dispute initiated on behalf of consumer which is also inaccurate. The company continues to fail to remove the negative false information pertaining to a bankruptcy from my report. In addition, the courts verified that they do not submit consumer information to third parties. Therefore this company is gathering information and inaccurately/illegally reporting it. Public records, specifically ones that are inaccurate, do not belong on credit reports. My rights are being violated. According to the FCRA law 15 U.S.C. 1681-1681x, Companies that provide information to consumer reporting agencies also have specific legal obligations, including the duty to investigate disputed information. This company is doing illegal activity, harming my credit worthiness in the process.
