Consumer Complaint: Near XX/XX/22 XXXX insurance has reported that my legitimate, approved claim for a minor scratch and dent issue with my car is a collision accident. First, I had full coverage to cover any issues. Second, this minor damage was not my fault as it was an immovable object that I could not see when I was backing out of the proprietor 's garage. No one was hurt and no damage was done to anyone or thing except my car. The damage was more than I can afford, so XXXX 's claims department advised me to go ahead and get this minor damage fixed as I had already paid for just this kind of potential event. Unbenownst to me, XXXX has reported this as a collision and now my XXXX XXXX Report and my CLUE report are showing this incorrect information which is now preventing me from being able to obtain reasonable insurance. I had no idea that this kind of report would follow me for at least 3 years. I contacted Lexis Nexis to file a complaint and correction. To this date nothing has been done.
