Consumer Complaint: About 8 month 's ago i discovered i was a victim of identity theft which was very disturbing to me to find out that someone unknown to me had used my personal information to get credit cards, phones etc. under my name and since i was not aware of these accounts they ended up getting charged off and some ended up in collections. At that time i field an FTC REPORT and send it to all credit bureaus and notified them that i am a victim of identity theft. a month later i received my new updated credit report which showed they removed items that was opened up fraudulently, about amount later i got an alert that i have a collection account that is reporting on my credit report i immediately purchased a copy of my credit report and discovered a collection account for an unpaid telephone bill from company called IC SYSTEMS INC, I contacted the company and told them this is a fraudulent account that some one had used my information and the representative asked me if i have a police report and i told them no but i have an FTC report and she said if i get a police report she can remove the account from my credit report, obviously thats what i did and faxed the papers to them and the item still at my credit report. Also this account was not in my credit report originally.

Consumer Complaint: I pulled my credit report to find a {$130.00} alleged debt that was owed to a dentist. I have dental insurance. I was never notified that a portion was not covered. When I called the dentist ' I was told that the notice was sent to an old address. Therefore, I never received any notification or right to dispute the debt. They said they transferred the debt to a debt collector. They, too, never sent me anything at the correct address. Had I received proper notification and proof that the insurance company hadn't paid a portion, I would have paid the debt. As they did not follow required debt collection procedures, I would like the collection removed, for violating debt collection practices. Had they done their research, they would have known that they had the incorrect address, as DMV had my correct address.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2018, I visited XXXX Hospital 's ER in XXXX, TN ( a public trust hospital system and an in-network provider for my insurance policies ), and was subsequently billed by XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX, XXXX, ( XXXX XXXX, XXXX - treating physician ) for medical treatment by an ER physician. I currently have two health insurance policies. XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX, XXXX, billed for {$1100.00} ( 1000 % of local pricing for ER care ). Both policies paid, {$180.00} each or {$360.00} total. This left a bill of {$810.00}. I was not billed until over 90 days from treatment date making it look as if I am late with payment. Although it seems outrageously unfair for such high billing and the use of balance billing for payment, so far all is sadly legal. What I found after paying XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, they used the government entity name of " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, '' when I actually paid " XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, '' through their collection team, " IC System '' for the remaining amount of {$810.00}. What I have found is that the business, " XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, '' uses fraudulent business dealings. They sell these debts ( negotiating ) to other businesses before you've received your first billing. I do not know if these businesses are owned/in-network by the XXXX XXXX or simply sold to other collection agencies multiple times. You as a patient pay the bill, yet the owners of " XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, '' again resell the bill over and over, layering the transaction. I currently get local number phone calls coming from the XXXX demanding payment for this bill ( again ) with no recognition of the confirmation number given, the same account number, or receipt by my state issued card by prior debt collectors. I do know that " XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, '' has XXXX XXXX, XXXX, as its president. He also is in the XXXX for several other collection-type entities such as, " XXXX, '' " XXXX, '' and " XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. '' It seems that this company is not interested in actual accounting practices for billing but possibly entering into fraud by layering the collection process with various companies to multiple bill for single debt. It is fraud to use the City of XXXX & XXXX Co 's trust of XXXX XXXX Hospital as the collection name. I phoned XXXX billing department and found that this debt I paid for {$810.00} is entirely " XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX '' and through my credit card & matching EOB 's, was paid in full. These collection companies have threatened to ruin my credit rating due to their claiming it is an unpaid medical debt. By switching company names over and over, it can seem you never paid this debt for they can claim that they never received the payment. This seems to be the strategy to gain multiple payments from unsuspecting patients. " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX '' takes XXXX and XXXX patients ( XXXX government payment for medical bills ), yet these very patients can be ruined by unscrupulous billing practices from companies like, " XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. ''

Consumer Complaint: IC debt collectors put themselves on report 6 months ago. Turns out they are saying they are collecting for a utility company and the last time account was operating was 5 years ago????? Ive asked several times for documentation especially billing and payment history and they cant and wont provide me with anything. I told them several times social services was last handling and paying the account. I couldnt pay it years ago and social service took it over so the power to the home wasnt turned off because there were young children living there with me as well anyway the collection agency refuses to send any proof of any billing. I am not responsible for any of social services dealing with them. I lived in the house and didnt pay an electric bill for 5 years. I would see bills mailed and see social services make some payments but it had nothing to to do with me. Thats the law in my are I guess becasue thats how the electric stayed on all those years without be payng anything because I didnt have anything. So I C systems wont send me any documentation of anything. If they did the billing all those years back would show any payments made to the account were made by social services. Ive tried several times to explain this and all they do is make threats
