Consumer Complaint: I am writing due to this agency, XXXX XXXX, showing up on my credit reports on XX/XX/XXXX & today XX/XX/XXXX. I have no knowledge of this account or debt and have never done any business with this company. I am disputing that I owe them anything. This is reporting negatively on my credit profile as an open account and I would like it removed as it is reporting to the Credit Bureaus and negatively affecting me, an unfair. This information was also shared illegally without my informed consent. I would like this collection agency and any associated debt removed immediately due to it reporting to XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and possibly XXXX in the future, and it is negatively affecting my credit report. Thank you

Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: About a month ago, early XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX started reporting to the credit bureaus that I owed {$51000.00}. I immediately contacted them, could not get a human on the phone, and never did receive proof that I owe them money. They have never contacted me personally -- ever. I ended up contacting the Credit Bureaus. They were able to see it was for a student loan from XXXX. I graduated school in XXXX. We placed a identity theft alert on my accounts. I 've had all the company start researching this account. Since then, every week the company raises the amount I owe by $ XXXX {$30.00}. It 's very arbitrary. I still can not get a person on the phone.

Consumer Complaint: I pulled a copy of my credit report and noticed that there was a collection reporting with XXXX XXXX. I did dispute the account with the credit reporting agencies because the account is not mine. I have never had XXXX service my entire life so I do n't know how they reported the false information. The three bureaus did remove the account. I thought it was said and done. Then I received another credit report and now Convergent Outsourcing is reporting the same exact account with a new open date. This is absolutely maddening. If they would use my social security number and birth date the would see it 's not mine. They are only going by my name which is common. I am very upset because I pay my bills on time and now because of their error it 's affecting my ability to make a financial move.

Consumer Complaint: Convergent Outsourcing Inc. XX/XX/XXXX {$160.00} Company mailed a debt collection letter to an address I have n't lived at for over five years addressed to a name I have n't used in two years in an attempt to collect a " debt '' due for a phone bill from XXXX. I cancelled my XXXX account in XX/XX/XXXX, paid the final balance due and received notification regarding the {$0.00} balance on my account. When I received the notice from Convergent Outsourcing Inc stating a had an outstanding balance I called XXXX who again checked my account and informed me I was current, my account was closed, and there was no outstanding balance. I have never been behind in my payments to XXXX and have never had an outstanding balance with them. This is a fraudulent request from a company and an inappropriate request. My information should at no time have been shared with this company and with no outstanding balance this company should never have contacted me.

Consumer Complaint: A company called XXXX XXXX is not providing me with validation that I owe them any money. They are reporting that I have an unpaid debt with them of {$600.00} but I have never done business with them and I have never received any letters or notices from them. The account number from Convergent on my credit is : " XXXX ''. This is the second collection company within the past year to try and collect this same exact sum of money from me. Another company called XXXX XXXX XXXX is also currently working trying to collect {$600.00} but they have a different account number. XXXX XXXX 's account number is # XXXX. How can it be possible for two collection companies to try and collect on the same debt? Is n't this illegal? Also, why did XXXX XXXX not send me a notice of my right to dispute this debt before they reported it to my credit? I 've done some research online and I have only come across negative reviews and complaints by other consumers who have been harassed and scammed by these two companies. There is a 97 % negative review rating and over 923 consumer complaints listed on the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX website for XXXX XXXX! I will not give my money to a company I do not recognize and who will not tell me why they want me to pay them.

Consumer Complaint: Company at center of complaint : XXXX Issue : I received an email notice from a debt collection company about a XXXX bill from when I closed my account. How did my bill get to collection when I have gotten not one email or piece of mail from XXXX about my account and its remaining balance if there was one. I have no issue paying my bill, but to ruin my credit when Im trying to rebuild it without notifying me I owe them is a problem. They need to undo this collections and allow me to pay them fairly. I called to resolve the issue three times and they have either told me they will transfer me to a manager and send me to their voicemail, complain that the line is bad and that they will call me back or put me on hold and the call magically drops. Consumer Complaint: I 've attempted to work this debt out with my insurance company, they have stated that since XXXX did n't submit properly, they could not back date a payment from more than 2 years ago. I 've spoken with the collection agency, and ca n't get anywhere with them, and XXXX just violates the Hipaa act by sending pertinent medical information to the collection agency and then pretending like it 's not a big deal. Numerous phone calls, and nothing. The medical debt should have been billed correctly to my insurance in the first place and it would have never gotten to the point it 's at now.
