Consumer Complaint: Convergent Res called to say I owed money on a XXXX XXXX account. XXXX XXXX is no longer a banking institution nor has it been for a long time. Additionally, I have never had a XXXX XXXX account or any of their banking products. After telling the company the aforementioned, I was asked to provide Personally Identifiable Information ( PII ) in order for them to place me on their " do not call list ''. Asking for PII is highly illegal, especially after I 've told them they have the wrong person.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX collection company has placed an unknown account on my credit report in XXXX 2017 without notification or validation of the debt. However I do not have a contract or signed any documents agreeing to pay XXXX XXXX XXXX on an account. I did not establish services nor did I have any written agreement to establish services with XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX. I am demanding proof of validation with my signed signature of the debt and proof that XXXX XXXX can collect and owns this account. If both can not be proven with documention. Then not only are they in violation of FDCPA but also FCBA. I have not received notice of this debt a right to dispute and so forth. I am requesting and showing proof not only is this the second time this has happened with illegal reporting to the credit bureaus but also not adhering to FDCPA. This account was with another violating collection company back in XX/XX/XXXXand was removed due to violations. please see the attached documents. Companies as such should govern themselves accordingly and not provide information without proper consumer notification. Violation as such can lead to grounds for a lawsuit under FCRA. I am asking that XXXX XXXX remove accounts immediately and close the account for collections. Please see attached as to how it has been with two previous collectors who violated and one shows a XXXX balance because i never owed a balance and later XXXX XXXX decided to give it a shot at collecting a un owed debt.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: Between the months of XXXX through XXXX, I have been back and forth with each of the credit bureaus and the collection company concerning a collection debt that is being reported. Each time I disputed this debt it came back verified, however, each time that I 've requested validation and/or verification they have failed to do so. On two different occasions I 've received letters from the collection agency asking me submit documents. This has become a hassle because I 've been disputing for months and yet they have failed to submit the necessary documents for me to move forward. Please see the attached documents that I 've received from Convergent Outsourcing. One document even alleged that this was fraud, all I 've asked for was proof that this alleged debt in fact belong to me and they are able to collect on it. Which they have failed to do. Also, my name and home address are listed on the documents.
