Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX I received an email from Convergent Outsourcing, Inc with a PDF letter dated XXXX XXXX, XXXX, stating I owed a debt with XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$240.00}. I also received a phone call on 2 occasions and I told them I would send a letter. On XXXX XXXX, I sent an email reply to the " contact us '' email address attached in the email sent by Convergent Outsourcing disputing the charge : Dear Sir or Madame, Per my conversation on XXXX XXXX XXXX, I am informing you of my dispute of the account with XXXX, referenced in your email communication. I have disputed the charge with XXXX and XXXX has so far failed to authenticate the charge with XXXX 's Dispute 's Department. The account was canceled, once XXXX provides actual documentation showing that the charge was valid ( which they have still failed to do in 45 days ), if valid, I will happily pay any balance I owe, less late fees assessed during the period XXXX failed to provide the documentation required/requested. During this time, please do not contact me by phone. Regards, XXXX XXXX Account Number REDACTED On XXXX XXXX I received a letter dated XXXX XXXX from Convergent Outsourcing with a cover letter stating " This debt is valid, attached is verification of the debt ''. The attachment included came with absolutely no details to show that this charge was prior to my canceling my account with XXXX, but rather, just a generic bill. No detail was included, it would not be acceptable proof of debt in a court of law as all it said was I owed {$240.00} with no detailed description. I replied on XXXX XXXX, with 2 separate emails to the same email address, the email address I initially sent my notice of dispute, a notice they obviously received because they attempted to send proof of debt. The first email I sent did not include a copy of the PDF from XXXX showing that XXXX was unable to provide proof that I owed the debt : Dear Sir or Madame, I have received a letter dated on XXXX stating this debt is valid. It contains a bill which is not detailed. The bill just states I owe an amount of money without any detail, nor does it show proof of my cancelation of service etc., this does mean that you 're required to send a validation of debt that includes at the very least, a description of the amount owed, vs a bill showing I owe an undetailed amount of money, I cancelled my service in XXXX of XXXX. Additionally when filing my credit card dispute with XXXX over the charge not being valid, XXXX returned a letter stating that after their investigation that the charge of {$230.00} was not a valid charge, I will send that attachment in a different email. Again, if I do owe this debt, I 'm happy to pay what I owe, but XXXX has refused to provide myself or XXXX prove that the debt is valid and your response did not include detailed information regarding the bill and why the bill was charged after cancelation of service. Regards, XXXX XXXX Account Number REDACTED Further I have checked my credit report with TransUnion and Equifax and it shows Convergent XXXX has opened up Collection Accounts on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, prior to them sending notice of Debt or providing proof of the debt. I have told Convergent if XXXX would provide proof that these charges were actually prior to my canceling service, I would pay whatever I owed less any late charges that have occurred while waiting for proof of the amount owed, however both XXXX and Convergent Outsourcing , Inc., have refused to provide myself or XXXX any proof that these charges were incurred prior to my canceling service with XXXX. Convergent Outsourcing has failed to provide proper proof of debt and has placed these accounts on my Credit Report prior to sending notification of Debt or Providing proof of debt.

Consumer Complaint: partial acct # XXXX XXXX XXXX has not sent me proof within 30-45 days or an obligation of this alleged debt as requested by me and continues to report this derogatory information to XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. XXXX XXXX had not communicated with me through phone nor have I seen any letter concerning this so called debt at any time before this deorogatory informaton appeared on my credit reports. This is creating problems for me relating to higher interest rates and lowering my credit score. I disputed this account in XX/XX/XXXX on or around the XX/XX/XXXX and in XX/XX/XXXX on or around the XX/XX/XXXX to all 3 bureaus with no verification or validation in the form of a contract or documents with my signature on it from XXXX XXXX. Proof I have sent letters with tracking receipts will be attached. The only correspondence that I received from XXXX XXXX was information about an opening date and a billing statement and a balance {$520.00} which could not belong to me. This does not qualify as full verification per FCRA. They continue to ignore my request for contracts and signatures as proof concerning this account that is reporting to my credit report. XXXX XXXX continues saying everything was verified. To date XXXX XXXX continues to not verify this so called debt. Under the Fair Debt Credit Reporting Act I have the right to demand this information for the account being reported on my credit report. XXXX XXXX is in violation for continuing to verify accounts with the credit bureaus without providing requested evidence. I believe XXXX XXXX does not have these documents or they would have produced them in the past 60 days. I believe they are blatantly breaking the law. For this reason I demand all derogatory information from XXXX XXXX to be removed and deleted and never to appear again on my credit report with all 3 major credit bureaus.

We have contacted our cellular provider and they have no knowledge of this debt or the company that is calling. The phone number we are receiving the calls from is XXXX and from what we can find via the internet is called XXXX. We have received 6 calls from this company in the past 8 days and an untold number over the past 6 months.

Consumer Complaint: convergent outsourcing has illegally re aged alleged debt. A collection account is reporting as open on my credit report. Which is illegal and false information. I did n't enter into a contract with a debt collection agency. This false and deceptive practice had hurt my ability to obtain credit. They are reporting XXXX accounts from comenity bank and XXXX account from XXXX as opened by me. They also re aged the debt as if I recently opened these accounts once they were sent for collection. They claimed to have sent me verification of these accounts which is false. A collection account can not report as open that violates the FCRA and the dates and amounts are incorrect. I 've stated this for months and there was no proper investigation ever done. Also no resolve to my complaints. The only thing left for me to do is to seek punitive damages for what this has cost me. Since you wo n't investigate I have to make this a legal matter.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a home in XXXX XXXX and as a result, my utilities had to be transferred or shut off completely. My XXXX account ( for internet only ) was one that would n't transfer, so I paid the balance in full and closed it with the intention of opening a new one for my new home. Not even a week later, I did just that and had them come out and install internet services. In XXXX XXXX, I did the same thing for my business : I opened a new XXXX account for internet services and had it installed at my business location. Shortly after that, I received a bill from a collection agency stating that I still owed them a balance of XXXX from my account prior to moving in XXXX XXXX. I disputed this with the collection agency and advised them that they would n't have let me establish two subsequent accounts had I still owed them money. The collection agency said they would take care of it and I never heard back from them. Now suddenly, on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I get another bill from a collection agency named Convergent saying the same thing : That I owe XXXX a balance of XXXX. I am writing to vehemently dispute this charge. I do not owe XXXX any past balances. The only thing I owe them is what I pay every month for internet services at my home and business locations.

I never sent any money to anybody online, let alone XXXX. I did not purchase any item at such amounts online either. I told them I did not make that transaction they allege but they insist that I owe them money. Now I received a letter from a collection agency demanding my payment of {$1400.00}.
