Consumer Complaint: I received a copy of my credit report today and there is an account on there from this company. I contacted the company and spoke to someone named XXXX ( I believe. He said his name really fast one time and would not repeat it after that ). He advised that they account is from XXXX in the amount of over {$1500.00}! I have NEVER done any business with XXXX nor have I signed any contract the XXXX XXXX. I have been a customer of XXXX XXXX XXXX since 2005. I told the rep that the account does not belong to me and I need verification of the debt and which he proceeded to ask for payment. I declined the payment and the rep disconnected the call while I was still speaking. The account does NOT belong to me and I demand that it is removed from my credit report immediately!!!

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: Suddenly, I noticed on XXXX XXXX that I had a negative debt collection against me. I immediately thought it was identity theft. When I disputed the debt on XXXX, they took it off immediately. XXXX claims this debt was verified, however it was from XXXX and the collection company was stating it was from XXXX of this year. The original debt is purported to come from XXXX for internet. I never received any notice of this debt and I never got notice from the collection company to pay this debt within thirty days as is required by law, before it appeared on my credit report. XXXX refuses to help me or provide any documentation proving that I was given notice. I consistently paid my bills on time, therefore, I do n't think this debt is valid. The collection agency is supposedly the second collection agency. I never got notice from the first and nor did I get notice from this company. Again, this is the first time I have been made aware there was an outstanding balance of {$29.00} on an account from XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: this is an attempt to try and illegally collect a debt that is no longer eligible or owed for the following reasons. The account itself has aged out since it has actually been previously REMOVED from my report. I have not received any letter of reinsertion ever for this debt. You CAN NOT just claim a debt again once it has expired to restart the clock on it!

Consumer Complaint: I sent a debt validation letter approximately 30 days prior to receiving a response via USPS from XXXX XXXX. They claim I owe a debt to XXXX for {$470.00} In response to my debt validation letter, they responded with a copy of a past due bill from XXXX. This information is incorrect. I waited until my time period has expired for the early termination fee and confirmed this with XXXX. In addition, all bills were paid and nothing was due. This was removed from my credit report before when a different company was reporting it and now it 's coming back around again when it 's invalid.
