Consumer Complaint: We had XXXX as our carrier in XXXX and XXXX. We had no issue with service but in XXXX of XXXX we moved to XXXX XXXX, XXXX. We had a very bad signal and could not even activate a hot spot it was so bad. People in the area and at the XXXX local office itself says it is a known issue. We had to switch carriers because we could not get service and XXXX still is attempting to collect cancellation charges through Convergent. A collections item has now appeared on my credit report and is very damaging to my score. I should NOT have to pay an early cancellation for a service I can NOT receive!

Consumer Complaint: I looked at my credit report on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX to see an account in collections, XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), reporting an account to collections that I have never heard of before. I am in the process of purchasing a home and do n't think its fair that a company reports an item on my credit report without providing any written notices to dispute it. This is in pure violation of section 809 ( a ) of the FDCPA : " Within five days after the initial communication with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt, a debt collector shall, unless the following information is contained in the initial communication or the consumer has paid the debt, send the consumer a written notice containing -- '' I have the right to sue this company for improper adherence to the laws that govern them.

( in XX/XX/XXXX, residing in XXXX in which the Statue of limitation is 6 years, to now residing in XXXX, in which the statue of limitation is 4 years on written contracts ) I have recently accessed my credit report ( XXXX ) and found that XXXX XXXX, Incorporated has violated the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act by not only re-aging this debt to show that the account was opened in XX/XX/XXXX, but also increased the amount of the debt by over XXXX. The account was charged off by XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX. This information is completely false and inaccurate. They also, did not purchase this loan from XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, this account has been through a minimal of four different debt collections agency prior to XXXX XXXX XXXX purchase of this debt.

You can not collect until you validate the debt and that 's what convergent outsourcing is doing.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX the XXXX XXXX I switch services from XXXX XXXX to XXXX I called XXXX XXXX to let them know to cancel my services the lady on the phone stated that she ca n't cancel she can only suspend the account because they show that XXXX is trying to transfer my number to my XXXX phone. I told her that that should not show because I am keeping the phone number assigned from XXXX. I ask her since she could n't cancel only suspend the account will I continue to get charged. She answered no. So I said ok waiting for my final bill. Since then I receive three different bills from XXXX XXXX with different amounts. One dated XXXX XXXX XXXX for XXXX. Then I got a collection letter from convergent dated XXXX which I did n't receive until XXXX XXXX XXXX showing a balance of XXXX. Then I received another bill from XXXX claiming i now owe XXXX. My account should have been cancelled when i called and told them i switched to XXXX that was in the beginning of XXXX. So why ido i have all of these different amounts. This account is in dispute until XXXX can explain why i was still getting charged for services that u should have canceled immediately when i called.

I called " XXXX XXXX '' and they stated to me that they no longer handled the debt and that it was returned back to the original creditor " XXXX ''. the second company listed as handling the debt was " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' I contacted them via phone about the debt and was told that XXXX still owns the debt but uses them as a collector on sprints behalf.
