Consumer Complaint: My home building contractor and I received a utility bill from XXXX XXXX XXXX which had a total balance due of {$26.00}, however when I logged in to pay it showed a balance of {$430.00}. I called to sort this out, and according to the bill I had in hand and also the one that they had in their system there was a credit of $ XXXX in the " other Charges or Credits line item. The previous statement balance was {$400.00} which with the credit applied equaled {$26.00}. For some reason the system was adding the previous balance and current balance together for the current total. The person on the phone stated they saw the discrepancy and would look into it, but it required getting in touch with someone who was not in the office, so they said they would call me back once they did some digging/resolution. I never received a call back, but instead received a collections letter. On top of all of this they originally sent the bill to the wrong address in a town 80 miles from where I live. I disputed the collections, and they sent me a letter again saying the charges were valid with a copy of the bill that had a total charges due of {$26.00}. At this point I feel I do not have enough evidence to verify the charges they are claiming. I would like to file this complaint on both XXXX XXXX XXXX, and the collection agency XXXX XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: After noticing a debt on my credit report I sent a letter of validation certified mail on XX/XX/XXXX ( asking for 30 day response ) to XXXX XXXX and the credit agencies XXXX, XXXX and XXXX for validation. In return I was sent from the credit agencies that the debt was validated ( but provided no proof ) and XXXX sent a bill which is not validation XX/XX/XXXX. I sent a certified letter to XXXX XX/XX/XXXX asking for proof that they validated this debt and again no proof was provided also sending one to XXXX again.XXXX continued to report on my credit report this debt without any validation that I am the person who owes this debt and has since starting sending collection bills still with no actual validation of this debt, no contracts, no transaction history nothing. My certified letter asked for a 15 day response ( sent XX/XX/XXXX ) of validation or for this to be removed from my report and neither has been provided. XXXX and the credit agencies continue to report this debt.

Consumer Complaint: I cancelled my services with XXXX XXXX back in XXXX of XXXX. I paid the final amount of {$130.00} on XXXX. This payment was to clear up any balances owed and I then returned all equipment to a XXXX location nearest to me. Having closed the account back in XXXX XXXX I was dinged on my credit by XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, over one year later. No phone call by XXXX to explain the matter or reason for this new charge because once I dropped off the devices the employee told me my account was officially closed. I now have a {$110.00} balance owed to XXXX XXXX, a credit collecting agency, for a balance that I knew nothing about.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: I received a notification from XXXX XXXX XXXX on a past due XXXX bill from XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I immediately disputed the validity of this debt and they sent me back a copy of a bill dated XXXX/XXXX/XXXX showing a balance. This is in no way a validation of the debt as it does not show whether or not the debt was paid or not. Further more the company put a collection account against my credit which is currently reporting on my credit file and has been showing an active open collection although this account is and has been in dispute. It is my understanding that this ca n't happen until the debt is proven to be valid. I have called them and sent to date 3 different emails to try and resolve this matter with zero response back.
