After checking my credit reports, I noticed a collection from XXXX XXXX. 1. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent XXXX XXXX two Debt validation letters ( attached ), certified mail ( return receipt attached ), pursuant to FDCPA 809 stating that i dispute their claims in their entirety. 2. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from Convergent ( attached ) stating the debt and account were verified and they attached a bill from XXXX that had another person 's name on it. 3. Therefore, on or about XX/XX/XXXX, I sent another letter ( attached ) to Convergent with my Drivers license, certified mail ( return receipt attached ) stating that the name on the bill was not mine and they were in violation of FCRA 623 ( a ). 4. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received another letter ( attached ) from XXXX XXXX. This time they sent a longer bill but the bill still had another person 's name on it. 5. I disputed the information with XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ( certified mail ) and XXXX and XXXX came back that the information was accurate and verified ( credit reports attached ). Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: First of all, they have refused to validate the debts they claim I owe their company Per the FDCPA. Well I dont owe their company ANYTHING and thats why they cant validate these debts. Secondly, even after debt validation had been requested from them, they deliberately continued collection activity and have electronically verified this debt to the Credit Reporting Agencies, without having validated the dispute with me first, and have since continued to report these accounts to the bureaus. This is a direct violation of the FDCPA and is 100 % unacceptable. Furthermore, Im aware of the many other complaints against this company for their illegal and unethical collection activity. So this really must be addressed and resolved. My next step is to bring media attention to this issue and also to take this matter to court if I have to.

Subissue: Frequent or repeated calls
Consumer Complaint: The company name is XXXX XXXX. They sent me a letter about an alleged debt. I wrote them a letter back and sent it certified mail asking them to validate the debt and mail that to me. As of XX/XX/2018, they have called my phone number 3 times ( I will not answer them, I have told them previously not to call me ). They have called both of my daughters, my husband, and my sister. Each time they are looking for me and they get upset when they tell them that the number they called is not for me. I am waiting for them to validate this alleged debt and then plan my next course of action but I will not speak to them and for them to call everyone in my family multiple times a day looking for me does not sit well with me. To me that is harrassment since they were told previous to the letter they sent me to not contact me.

Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: I sent a letter to the XXXX XXXX requesting that they validate NOT verify a debt that they are attempting to collect from me. I specifically asked for a signed agreement and other supporting documentation. They provided me the billing statements which does not prove that I am obligated to pay them anything. They have reported delinquent information to the credit bureaus that I am asking to be deleted.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) called me on my cell phone asking for my wife, although with a slightly wrong version of her name. They would not tell me why until I provided last four of my wife 's social and gave them information about me and her. They said they were debt collectors representing XXXX, but neither myself or my wife does business with XXXX. I refused to give them any new information and hung up. I am not sure if they were phishing or otherwise just trying to gain access to us or our information, but it was an unsolicited call on a number on the do not call registry.
