Consumer Complaint: I signed up for a credit card with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I never received the card, so it was never activated and never used. After a couple of months, they sent me a bill for the credit card fee. I called and let them know that I never received the card, and at that point, I no longer wanted to the card, and that I had not activated it since I never received it. They are still trying to charge me the fee for the card, and now they have sent it to collections with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with additional fees. I do not feel that I should have to pay for a credit card that I never received. The Convergent account # is XXXX, and the client account number ( I guess XXXX XXXX account number ) is XXXX. The phone number for Convegent on the bill is XXXX. I appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thanks.

Consumer Complaint: This house was sold in 2008 over 8 years ago. The house afterwards has had a myriad of renters. This company knows that this is not our debt yet for years has tried to collect from us. It is over 8 years ago and they still keep trying to get it from us because we have an address and they can threaten us with damage to our credit rating. XXXX removed this from our credit report because of a dispute and now this company again is trying again to find someone with a live pulse to extract monies.

Consumer Complaint: I got a demand letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX. dated XX/XX/2018 indicating that the account records of a second debt collection company, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX show that I have an outstanding balance of {$970.00} owed to XXXX XXXX. Convergent 's letter offers to allow me to settle this fictional debt for 25 % or {$240.00}. I have no knowledge of XXXX, XXXX XXXX or Convergent nor have I ever been contacted by any of them to include substantiation of such debt. Just a nebulous demand letter for a non-existent debt from a state that I have never lived in. I believe this to be a scam and an attempt to scare Senior Citizens into settling false debts for a reduced cost.

Consumer Complaint: On Friday, XX/XX/XXXX, I received a ( paper ) letter in the mail from " XXXX XXXX XXXX. '', indicating to me that they are a collections company working on behalf of " Creditor : XXXX, XXXX '' to collect an " Amount Owed : {$2200.00} ''. The letter indicated that they have or will cancel my XXXX account unless I contact them and pay off the full amount or make payment arrangements. Immediately, I checked my XXXX activity and balance and found no record of this supposed debt, and the account numbers listed on this paper do not match the account ID information I have for my XXXX account. At about XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, I called and spoke to a XXXX customer service representative who informed me this was not a legitimate letter or notice from XXXX and that my XXXX account is proper and in good standing. He instructed me to take photos of the image and e-mail them, along with an explanation, to XXXX, who I understand to be the fraud review department. I am deeply concerned about the content of this letter and its ' legitimacy. I have a very active XXXX account that I use for my business and personal needs ; I can not afford for this matter to end up on my credit reports and reduce my overall credit score. I am eager to pursue whatever means are necessary to resolve this matter.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I cancelled XXXX XXXX. All equipment was returned and the bill was paid in full. They then said I owed them for an " early termination fee '' They refused to produce either my signature or my verbal agreement to this contract which they say I agreed to ( which I dispute ) that justified this early termination fee. I have always and still do dispute that I entered into such an agreement. Even though they refused to produce these items they sold this " account '' to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX WA XXXX XXXX In XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX put this nonsense on my credit report, but did not bother to assign it an account number. I can't dispute this without an account number and the length of time it takes for something to fall off of a persons credit report started all over at that time. From what I can tell they can just keep selling this and the new company can just refrain from assigning an account number and I can never fight it. Therefore I will be saddled with this forever. This should be illegal. I am asking for your help with this matter.
