Subissue: Attempted to collect wrong amount
Consumer Complaint: I owe a debt to XXXX XXXX, which I do not dispute. The amount I owe is {$980.00}. XXXX XXXX, XXXX is attempting to collect {$1000.00}. I have asked for proof that I signed something with XXXX that allows them to collect a collection fee and XXXX tell me that the fee must be being charged by Convergent and tell me to contact Convergent. I asked for proof from Convergent that I owe more than {$980.00}, or something that shows that they are allowed to collect a fee, and they have told me that they don't collect a collection fee, the fee is being charged by XXXX. They sent 'verification ' and they include a copy of the bill by XXXX XXXX which clearly shows an amount due of {$980.00}.

Consumer Complaint: Please do what is right! What is correct and honest! If I have to pay something I will do it. ( This is not a valid bill ). But this is a fraud! I'm very honest person, serving at XXXX XXXX. Please help me! This company : XXXX XXXX trying to get money from people. 2 years ago I had a serious problem with this fraudulent company. And I didn't report them. Now I have to! They reported a false collection to XXXX. Why false? Because they don't have enough proof. They don't have details, or an explanation showing step by step where the bill came from ... Here 's the information : Original Creditor Name : XXXX XXXX ; AMOUNT {$150.00}. I had no idea! I didn't know anything about that. I contacted them, they sent me a fake bill that anyone could make it very easily using XXXX or any XXXX App.. I also had to contact XXXX and you know what? They didn't have any details of where that {$150.00} came from ... After fighting with CONVERGENT and talking with many people they removed that false collection from my Credit Report. ( On XX/XX/XXXX ). On ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I saw on my credit report the same collection again that it was removed from my Credit Report 2 years ago! How was possible? If the collection was removed 2 years ago? I felt so bad ... Do I have to call the police or what can I do? I don't know if it's a joke or what? ( IF THE COLLECTION WAS VALID, IT MUST BE ON MY CREDIT REPORT FROM XX/XX/XXXX ... BUT IF THEY RECOGNIZED AS AN INVALID COLLECTION AND IT WAS REMOVED FROM MY CREDIT REPORT IS BECAUSE IT WAS AND INVALID, FALSE COLLECTION CONSIDERED AS A FRAUD BY XXXX ). And I also asked to this fraudulent company ( XXXX XXXX ) today XX/XX/XXXX Why they are not doing what the law required? They must send me a letter, notice and give me 30 or 60 days to respond to your letter, but they DIDN'T SEND ME ANYTHING ... I also request them a bill, but not a fake bill created by them, but a real bill with details, and they refused. They didn't have an answer when I asked them why they are against t law ...

Consumer Complaint: This afternoon I received a call from XXXX. This auto-dialed number left a robo-voice message saying that it was from " XXXX XXXX : a debt collector '' and telling me to call XXXX. I do not have any outstanding debt and I pay my credit card in full every month. So, there is no reason a debt collector should be calling me.

Consumer Complaint: I submitted a letter to Convergent XXXX requesting that they validate and NOT verify a debt that they are attempting to collect from me. I specifically asked for a signed agreement and other supporting documentation. They provided me with billing statements which does not prove that I am obligated to pay them anything.
