Consumer Complaint: I got a phone from XXXX, as previously mentioned in numerous complaints through the BBB, XXXX themselves, and XXXX XXXX. I got a new phone and a speaker at the time of the contract. I was unable to pay. Later, I paid the phone off, to switch providers. To this day, I get mail from CONVERGENT and XXXX stating I owe them XXXX. XXXX can check their own system to show the phone is paid off. I don't owe them anything. Due to their negligence, seditious acts, and the like, I currently do not own a cell phone AT ALL, because each time I activate a new phone I get 3-4 bills from XXXX, XXXX, and most recently XXXX XXXX XXXX attempting to get me to pay for old services that have been paid off. I refuse to continue to purchase services, only to be hit over the head with a new bill about old services I've already paid.

Consumer Complaint: Repeated attempts to validate alleged debt, sent certified letter XX/XX/18 and XX/XX/18. Convergent Outsourcing fails to provide proof of alleged debt and continues to make false report to credit bureaus of inaccurate information. Spoke with XXXX lead supervisor at XXXX who stated the account was closed and no longer in the office as of XX/XX/18 but refuses to send confirmation in the form of a letter requested that the account was removed from their office. I called everyday for 5 days and no one will direct me to the correct person who handles these matters. Please remove from all 3 credit bureaus this is reporting to. This is a violation of my rights to report inaccurate information on my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I was notified that this debt existed with Convergent through me accessing my credit file to discover there was a collection item in the amount of {$340.00}. I contacted XXXX to discover that there was a final bill from a previous address that did not get paid however when we looked further into why I wasn't notified, we discovered this was under an incorrect address as it combined both my previous address and new address as well as my maiden name. XXXX and Convergent both assured me that if I paid the debt it would be removed from my credit file. I immediately paid the debt in full only to have the debt not removed but updated on my file to a new date which actually hurt my credit score even more. I have called Convergent several times to no avail as well as XXXX who only refers me back to Convergent as they are the ones that reported the negative item on my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: Information and balance incorrect. Too old to be on file. Every few yours the company will send paperwork and than change account open date to the current year. So the account will stay on my credit. Account over 10years old and should not be in credit report. Its against the law and collection items fall off after 7years.

Consumer Complaint: I received 5 calls, back to back, on XX/XX/18. This morning, on XX/XX/18, I already received 2. I receive at least 3 phone calls every day from this number, 7 days a week, to the point that I had to block it in my phone. This has been ongoing for at least thirty ( 30 ) days now. I am making payments to a Convergent account on a debt and I am doing so diligently, and this is the only account I have with them. As I am making payments, there is NO need to constantly keep calling me.

Consumer Complaint: On Mon XX/XX/XXXX XXXX CDT 2018, I called XXXX Customer Service and a representative from XXXX XXXX XXXX answered the phone from the XXXX number after going through the automated system. The representative did not identify the company that she represented, or that she was attempting to collect a debt, or that any personal information collected would be used for that purpose. I told the representative that I had a XXXX transaction from my sister that had not come through to my account, and the representative responded that she would be happy to assist me in resolving that issue, ( which the company has no control or access to even view XXXX account information or transaction, much less the ability to assist with XXXX transactions between two people ). My full name, email address, mailing address, social security number, personal XXXX account information, and phone number was provided to her. She was unable to find any information regarding me, and only then, when I became highly suspicious, did she inform me that she was not a representative for XXXX but rather a collection agency. XXXX XXXX XXXX did not identify themselves and through this omission of identification they therefore implied misrepresentation by impersonating a XXXX representative under the guise of assisting me with rectifying a personal family money transaction in order to obtain private, legally protected personal information for which I would have not provided had I known the truth. I recorded the conversation and can provide it if needed.

Consumer Complaint: I retained a copy of my credit report and saw a derogatory mark for a collection in the sum of {$1700.00} from XXXX XXXX representing XXXX. I sent a formal letter to XXXX XXXX disputing the collection and requesting " validation '' ; that is competent evidence bearing my signature on a contract. XXXX XXXX failed to provided me with a copy of any alleged contract or viable evidence, bearing my signature, showing the account is being reported accurately. I stated in my letter the debt is inaccurate and failure to " validate '' should result in deletion of debt on my credit reports.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX located in XXXX, WA claims that I owe a debt of {$120.00}, and the original debtor is XXXX. I sent a letter of dispute via certified mail to Convergent on XX/XX/2018, it was signed for on XX/XX/2018. I requested that this debt be validated by way of a legally binding contract bearing my signature. Convergent responded claiming that the debt is verified, and sent a phone bill. As per FTC opinion letter from Attorney XXXX XXXX XXXX, they should be aware that a printout of a bill or itemized document does NOT constitute verification. I sent a second letter via certified mail, which was received and signed for on XX/XX/2018. Today is XX/XX/2018, and Convergent still has not responded with competent evidence BEARING MY SIGNATURE. This is a violation of FCRA & FDCPA. It is evident that this company can not validate the alleged debt, and therefore the entry needs to be requested for deletion by the credit agencies.
