Consumer Complaint: I sent a dispute letter to XXXX requesting they verify three collection accounts, one of which this complaint is about. XXXX XXXX XXXX a collection agency sent me a dunning letter regarding a XXXX account XX/XX/XXXX, This account is listed in my dispute letter. The collection agency asked me for payment in the amount of {$540.00} but stated that their client is willing to satisfy the alleged account for 50 % of the total balance. XXXX has not communicated to me that this debt has been validated and from what I understand this collection agency is not supposed to be attempting to collect this debt until it has been verified which it has NOT.
