Consumer Complaint: I was told by at least three of XXXX 's customer service representatives that if I pay the balance of the debt that it would be deleted from my credit reports. After making the payment now I'm being told that it's not their policy to delete. I have provided them with a screenshot of my payment and a recorded call of the representative stating that it would be deleted and no resolution. Now another representative has called to tell me that they no longer own the debt and that Convergent Outsourcing owns the debt. Upon making the payment, the representative from Convergent told me that it was up to XXXX to delete the item. I am being given the run around and I still don't even know who owns the debt. I sent a letter to Convergent last year requesting debt validation and request proof of validity and in the letter I asked about who owns the debt and their response was a simple bill but did not state who owns the debt or if they bought it. Each company has given me the run around and nothing is getting resolved.

Consumer Complaint: I have a debt originally from XXXX from XXXX that is currently being reporting as the date of delinquency XX/XX/XXXX. The collection has been resold a few times and this creditor just put the date the last creditor bought the debt on as the date of delinquency, illegally reaging the debt. I have disputed it to the credit bureaus with them just returning the same information and XXXX and XXXX just saying its valid. I would like it removed from both credit reports.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: I have been disputing this account since I first received notice from the credit bureaus that it was being reported on my credit report. On XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX I sent letters to Convergent Outsourcing asking that they validate not verify the debt that they are attempting to collect from me and derogatorily reporting on my credit reports. I specifically requested signed contracts or other supporting documentation. No matter what I request ( validation of the debt, proof of amount, or proof they are authorized to collect debt ) they simply respond with a form letter with a pen mark checking off this debt is valid and attaching a copy of a single bill. They are refusing to offer any supporting documents. Convergent Outsourcing is in full violation of the FCRA by failing to verify the account. I've requested I be sent physical proof that the account belonged to me. Instead, they've chosen to just send me a copy of a bill. This is not acceptable. A copy of a bill or a statement of monies due does not constitute verification or validation of debt. FCRA states there must be a tangible contract provided to me upon my request that bears my signature, showing that I am responsible for the account. Without that, there is no contract, no valid claim. If validation can not be established, I respectfully request Convergent Outsourcing remove all active, inaccurate, derogatory reporting from the credit bureaus and cease any efforts to re-report the debt through illegal practices in the future.
