Consumer Complaint: They call daily and say I owe a debt, but can't exactly tell me the name of the company as they say it's been sold to them so it would be a different name. they called my previous employer as well. They use many different phone numbers but most say Convergent. I have paid many 3rd party debt collectors so I do not owe anyone at this time. They call non stop all day- they have also called my mother and son looking for me and saying I'm in legal trouble if I don't call back asap/ Threaten me to the point I don't answer anymore. Some numbers they call from are XXXX XXXX XXXX. They are violating so many of my rights and even calling my previous employers to let them know to reach out to me as I'm in big legal trouble. Consumer Complaint: I am writing to CONVERGENT OUTSOURCI agency because I am having difficulties with buying a house and applying for new credit cards. I paid the collection and do not owe anything, but the mark in my credit reports prevents me from achieving the desired results. I am kindly requesting CONVERGENT OUTSOURCI agency to remove this collection from my credit reports as a gesture of goodwill. Doing so would sincerely be appreciated and represent an invaluable gift to my family and me.

Consumer Complaint: I have asked the company to delete this debt from my credit report. This debt is not mine. I have asked them to verify this account under the FCRA Laws. I never did any business with this company. They cant provide signature, original contract, or anything, which is a direct violation of FCRA laws. This company claim that I owe {$350.00}. This has caused me multiple denials, due to account being in collections. Also hindering my mortgage process.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Consumer Complaint: I received a call from phone number XXXX on XX/XX/2020 from a woman identifying herself as XXXX from Convergent. She stated that she is a debt collector and this is an attempt to collect a debt. She stated that I owed some amount to XXXX and asked how I would be paying. I responded that I had never heard of her company, Convergent, and that I needed for more information about the debt before proceeding. I waited for the initial notice to arrive in the mail over the next couple weeks and I still have not received one. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act provides that a debt collector must provide this within five days of its initial communication with an alleged debtor and Convergent did not do so.

Consumer Complaint: A company kept calling me in regards to a friends debt. They said there was a case being filed against him. Therefore, they were disclosing that he had a debt. Also, they kept saying that he was legally served on my voicemail. Which was a lie. In addition when I called back to tell them to stop calling and harassing me, they did not disclose they were on a recorded line. When I told them the number they provided was not a legal case number they said it was. The agent was very nasty to me. I told her that I wanted the name of her company and she would not give me the full name. I told her they were violating the FDCPA and was going to enter a complaint. I have kept the voicemails as well. I work in litigation as well for debt. This was very disappointing to me and this is the type of agency that gives all of us a bad reputation. The company called me from XXXX and told me to call back XXXX
