As this has been ongoing for several months I am now filing this complaint. Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from Convergent Outsourcing Inc out of XXXX Washington attempting to collect on a debt on behalf of XXXX XXXX. The letter was a settlement offer letter of {$2300.00} out of a {$6600.00} debt they say I owed. I contacted them on XX/XX/XXXX and filed a dispute. I did not remember ever having an account with XXXX XXXX, so I called XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to XXXX in their auto charge-off section. They indicated that I had an account at one time, but there was no data on file for it. It was during that conversation I figured out the debt stemmed from a lease that was broken in XX/XX/XXXX, which was also the date of last activity, or DOFD. I know this date, because it was the month I was XXXX and XXXX until XXXX. It is old enough that they have no record of it other than I had an account with them at one time. XXXX did state that they closed their file out in XXXX. At the time they closed it out it was 11 years old. XXXX also indicated they had no idea whom Convergent was, or the company convergent said sent the file to them. The name of that company is named XXXX XXXX. I called Convergent back to inform them of the information I had discovered and they were less than cordial. I researched both collection companies, XXXX and Convergent. Upon doing that I became increasingly concerned about the future of my credit. I know how difficult it can be to fix a credit file having worked in Banking for over a decade. I decided to file a complaint. There are many people that would be bullied by companies like this that prey on the uniformed public, know those debt are both uncollectable and not subject to judgement. Their letters clearly state that they will report it and may take action including legal action. I have sent a written dispute top them, an email dispute to them, and filed one Verbally. I am now filing a complaint against them. Convergent Outsourcing Contact Info : Convergent Outsourcing XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, WA XXXX XXXX Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I saw a bunch of unknown collections in my report and I am wondering why they ended up under my sleeves. I want these accounts be removed because they are not mine and it really ruins my scores so bad. It will be a great help if we will enforce what is right based on FCRA. I have researched about this and I am sure that my rights were violated by simply reporting an inaccurate report.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I sought to establish internet service in XXXX, RI with XXXX XXXX. The service was to provide high speed internet, but upon installation was often only providing 1-2 Mbps as measured by my speed tests. This connection speed is not fast enough for even modest internet usage let alone to stream a program or otherwise effectively use the XXXX. The problem was confirmed by innumerable XXXX technicians over the next year. There were at least half a dozen technician appointments which included checking termination of cables and even changing the cable on the electric pole by XXXX XXXX. In providing access for technicians at these many appointments I often took time off work. Despite their best efforts, the technicians never were able to resolve the issue at this location and explained that the XXXX infrastructure would simply not work to provide internet effectively as currently cabled in this location. Yet I was being charged upwards of $ XXXX for high speed internet with cable. During my time there I paid XXXX over XXXX XXXX dollars for services that were never fully provided as promised. Upon receiving a final bill, I sent a letter to XXXX XXXX department to notify them that I was in fact owed a refund for the services I paid for but did not receive. This letter was sent by certified mail on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX has now in XX/XX/XXXX caused a collection agency to make a report of unpaid debt in the amount of {$77.00} to the credit agencies thus lowering my credit rating from 830+ by 100 points and thus disqualifying me for a loan from the lender with whom I was working. I believe that this action is egregious and has caused me significant monetary damages. I would like this credit damaging report to be retracted at once.

Consumer Complaint: I am not sure however, I believe that this company ( Convergent-XXXX ) is working in conjunction with another company ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) to run a scam. This debt is not mine, no proof is given that this debt is mine and I have been receiving threatening and harassing phone calls at work and home. They refuse to identify the debt and what it concerns and are using tactics that are illegal. I am filing complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and the State Attorney General 's offices in California and Georgia
