Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021, I received an e-mail alert from XXXX credit bureau that a delinquency notation was placed on my credit report by Convergent Outsourcing ( XXXX, WA, XXXX ) that an unpaid XXXX bill was overdue, in the amount of {$3200.00}. I contacted XXXX on XX/XX/2021 and was told that my social security number ( SSN ) is not on-file with them, because, I have NO ACCOUNT with them. In addition, and most relevant, I DO NOT OWN a mobile telephone. XXXX instructed me to contact my local police department and report said fraud. I contacted the XXXX County Sheriff 's Department ( Maine ) and reported the fraud to Deputy XXXX XXXX ( Case No. XXXX ), who advised me to contact your agency. I have attempted to contact Convergent Outsourcing and was told that they receive all information from XXXX, concerning my debt and SSN, BUT XXXX does not have my SSN, because I never had an account with them! Convergent Outsourcing offered no help in this matter! Therefore, the question is : how did Convergent Outsourcing report my delinquency to XXXX, employing my SSN, if XXXX does not possess my SSN and could not have given my SSN to Convergent Outsourcing? Would you please assist me in removing this delinquency notation from my XXXX report. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: I initiated contact after receiving settlement letter. Prior to making payment to the agreed amount, I asked if this would be removed from my credit. I was told that after the payment was processed, the collections agency will update the bureau to have the account removed. After a month when the account wasnt removed, I called to follow up and I was told they dont remove the account off the credit. I explained my situation and what I was told, without any help. I disputed the collection with all three bureaus with no success. Please help me, I feel deceived and helpless.

Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: I tried/signed up for a phone plan with XXXX XXXX back in XXXX of 2020. I never received the SIM Card in the mail after 3 times calling and them saying they sent it. I could not utilize the phone or service during this time and was never able to use the service because I never received the SIM card to activate the plan. After hours of time trying to get help I was unsuccessful. Finally I got so frustrated I canceled the plan and signed up with XXXX. I kept receiving bills to my e-mail from XXXX and called more than 3 times and was assured the plan was canceled and not active and I should disregard the bills. Well they never stopped coming and I called/chatted/etc ... at least another 3 times and kept getting the runaround. Well sure enough I recently received an email followed by 2 letters from a Collection agency called Convergent Outsourcing Inc . I watched my hard earned credit score plummet XXXX Points!! This is an outrage, I tried and tried to call XXXX but that call everytime is routed to Convergent where they give you the same runaround. After asking for a supervisor etc I was once again assured this will be dropped and go away. Well surprise I got a " Final Determination '' letter in the mail the other day saying " This debt is valid, attached is verification of the debt. What was attached were the bills I kept receiving from XXXX even though I had never used their service not even for one minute! You simply CAN NOT speak to a person at XXXX unless you are signing up for a new plan. Other than that you are on your own. Horrendous experience from such a prestigious company they have gone horribly wrong. Please help me get them held accountable.

Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft. The tradeline, which appears on my credit report from CONVERGENT XXXX XXXX last reported XX/XX/XXXXin the amount of {$820.00} does not relate to any transaction ( s ) credit account I have ever had. It is the result of identity theft. I received a copy of my credit reports and discovered this trade line on my credit report. I did not authorize this account or transaction. I did not apply for any credit with this company and have no existing accounts with XXXX XXXX. Please delete this information from my credit report, pursuant to section 605B of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from the company Convergent today, XX/XX/XXXX, stating that I owe the company XXXX a debt of {$560.00}. The letter is dated XX/XX/XXXX. I have never received a bill from XXXX or have an account with them. I used XXXX 's service in XXXX when I worked for them, and paid about {$20.00} a month. I never owed them a bill as I paid them off and switched companies. XXXX has never repored a debt to any of my credit report companies and upon researching this I have found many people that have been contacted by Convergent for debts that they have never heard of, many for XXXX. I immediately called XXXX and talked to a representative. Since I do not have an account with them they stated to disregard the letter as it is possibly fraud. The rep stated that if I get another letter to go into a XXXX location and show them and to have them report as fraud. They couldnt do anything further for me over the phone. I am afraid this company is trying to collect a debt on a fraudulent account opened using my information. My credit reports have stated i have had past information involved in data breaches from different companies. I will not be contacting the company Convergent as I do not want them to start calling me or trying to collect more information from me. I am locking my credit reports at this time but i fear that this company will be able to report this debt to my account when I do not pay. I will dispute it if they do so.
