Consumer Complaint: This is a formal complaint against Convergent Outsourcing located in XXXX, WA. This company has repeatedly violated my consumer rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and has caused me much unnecessary financial AND mental distress. For starters, they're reporting an erroneous & unverifiable collection account on all 3 of my credit reports, XXXX XXXX and XXXX and not to mention an account in which I've asked for proof of claim and in which they have refused to validate per my request under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Despite my efforts to resolve this unfortunate nightmare for nearly a year now, Convergent Outsourcing has completely ignored my communications and legal submissions to remove this inaccurate information from my credit reports. I am well aware of the many, many other complaints filed against this company for their illegal and unethical collection practices - disguising themselves under multiple business names and using ILLEGAL collection practices all across the country. Yet, somehow, this company is still in business. This company 's unprofessional & negligent behavior has caused lots of serious harm, not only to my ability to establish credit & good interest rates, but also to my character as a Professional and as an individual. Please help me, and the many other consumers just like me, to put a stop to the operation of these unethical & immoral business practices immediately. I sincerely appreciate your time and assistance in this matter and hope to hear from you very soon.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a " Reduced Balance Opportunity '' dated XX/XX/XXXX from Convergent Outsourcing Inc. via regular mail. It referenced the following : Creditor XXXX, XXXX, Client Account # XXXX, Convergent Account # XXXX, Reduced balance Amount {$520.00}, Total amount owed {$1000.00}. " The account referenced above has been placed by XXXX with our office for collection. We have been authorized to accept payment of 50 % of the total amount owed, which is {$520.00}, in exchange for which XXXX, XXXX will recall your account and cease all collection activity. If you are interested in taking advantae of this offer, call our office within 60 days of the date of this letter. Please note that this is not an offer to accept 50 % of your debt as payment in full, but an offer for XXXX, XXXX to remove your account from further collection efforts. We are not obligated to renew this offer. This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. This communication is from a debt collector ''. First, it arrived almost 3 weeks after the date of the letter and via regular mail. Second, it provided no explanation of the claimed debt owed. Third, it did not notify me of my rights. On XX/XX/XXXX, I wrote a letter to them asking them to send me proof of the debt, including the original agreement with my signature, a complete detailed itemized statement showing all transactions made on the account and all correspondence related to the account and proof that I was properly notified of this debt with supporting documentation sent via certified mail. I asked that if they can not provide me with all that information, that they nullify it and notify all financial institutions and credit reporting agencies and remove all negative reporting in connection with it. On XX/XX/XXXX I received via regular mail a letter stating that they completed their investigation and the debt is valid and attached a copy of a partial monthly statement dated XX/XX/XXXX. None of the supporting documentation of proof of ownership was attached. In addition, at the same time they sent me the first notification, they notified the credit bureaus that the account they claim I owe was opened on XX/XX/XXXX, that the account status is Open. As a result of this, my credit scores dropped approximately 25 points. This was before I even received the first notice from them. I find these practices unacceptable and harmful and inappropriate and they don't seem legal to me. Anyone could have come up with a copy of a bill and try to scam me. I am not accepting ownership of this " account '' and I will dispute it and pursue legal action if they do not remove this negative reporting, stop harassing me and causing me financial harm ...

Consumer Complaint: My wife and I have good credit, and no outstanding debts from any source that I'm currently aware of. I'm aware of Convergent Outsourcing Solutions, and their debt collection agency, so when they called ME and asked me to verify MY information, without any hint as to why - I grew very suspicious. I asked for their phone number ( XXXX ) and her Supervisor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I asked what the nature of the call was about and she said it was about " private business matters '' and became pushy. I told her I wasn't interested in confirming identity unless I knew the nature of her business, to which she rambled for a moment claiming legitimacy of her company. She still would not answer my questions about the nature of the call. I hung up, and told them not to call back.
