Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, my husband and I applied and were approved for an RV loan through a local dealership. About 3 weeks later, my employer received an unemployment claim filed in my name. She responded to the claim that it was suspected fraud and I immediately notified PA Unemployment and filed a fraud report which resulted in the case being closed and no benefits issued. I have credit monitoring and put a fraud alert with all 3 bureaus as a precaution and after thoroughly checking all reports, did not see any suspicious activity. Today, XX/XX/XXXX I received a notification from XXXX XXXX that a collection account had been added to my XXXX report. After logging in, there is a collection for Convergent Outsourcing on behalf of XXXX for {$920.00}. I have never had, or applied for any XXXX accounts or services. This is a case of identity theft and I need the account removed from all credit reports. It is causing undue hardship on my credit, especially as my daughter is starting college in a few months and we may need to obtain financial assistance, such as loans for her education.

Consumer Complaint: Convergent reported inaccurate information to the credit bureau on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX 14 days apart not a full 30 days apart, the balance dates were different and the amount owed was different as well. Please see highlights in file. This caused my credit score to drop drastically by 65 points right in the middle me closing on a home, which in turned raised interest rate to a point where I did not feel comfortable accepting. I was so alarmed that I called Convergent immediately to clear up any balances without them verifying the debt because I just wanted it paid and removed from my credit report. Once I contacted them I was told by one of the agents that it would be deleted from my report within the next 30 days. This did not happen, this account still remains on my report. Convergent is in violation of 15 U.S. Code 1692e at this point for false or misleading representation. I have called them several times and asked if they would remove it and their answer is always no. I am continuously being quoted higher interest rates because of this paid collection. I would like this collection account deleted from my credit file, so that I can obtain a fair and reasonable interest rate on the purchase of my home and other credit purchases. The debt has been pay why is is still showing in collections on my credit profile. Please delete

Consumer Complaint: I am writing this to dispute the XXXX XXXXXXXX charges on my credit report. I was a customer of XXXX for several years. Early in the year 2016 I received a bill of approximately {$1200.00}. I immediately called XXXX to dispute the charge. The first customer service representative informed me it was some international call made from my then XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX phone. I immediately reminded the representative that every phone on our account was blocked from all international calls. After checking the system, he noticed and confirmed the block. He then informed me the charges will be removed, he just needed the manager to authorize it. XXXX weeks later, I called to confirm the charges were removed. I was told they were unable to remove the charges and did not have an explanation as to why not. I then inquired where these calls were made to since the numbers looked very strange. They could not tell me exactly where, but suggested XXXX. After informing them we would never make any calls to XXXX ; and reminding them about the international block again, I was told to give them some time to investigate. This went on for XXXX months, I paid the difference on the bill until I had had enough and told them to cancel our service. The service was apparently only " interrupted '' for another XXXX months but was never disconnected. I received a bill for over {$2000.00}. I called to inquire about the charges, and was told the services were not disconnected, but just " interrupted. '' After I played a recording of the last conversation where I disputed the charges and requested they discontinued services, I was told they could not stop services then. Since then, XXXX can not give me an explanation about the calls, about the international block, or why they did not disconnect the phones when I requested they do so. Every year since for XXXX years XXXX recalls the debt, and assigns it to a new collection company puts it back on my credit report and re-aging the debt.
