Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Information belongs to someone else
Consumer Complaint: After viewing my report, I noticed negative account that I have never applied nor any communication with them. A bill without a signature does not imply that the debt is legitimate, and anyone may submit a bill and claim ownership. I don't owe this debt. This is a formal notice pursuant to FDCPA 15 USC 1692g stating your claim is disputed and validation is requested. I have never receive any documents bearing my signature, showing that I have a legally binding contractual obligation to pay your company.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: I sent a letter to Convergent Outsourcing collection agency disputing and requesting validation for an account on XX/XX/2021 and mailed it certified, return receipt requested. I tracked the letter via the online United States Postal Service website and noticed that they received the dispute letter on XX/XX/2021. I was never contacted, nor was my validation request ever honored. Therefore, I sent a follow-up letter on XX/XX/2021, which was received by the collection agency XX/XX/2021, to request removal of this information due to the company failing to respond. It is now XX/XX/2021 and I still have not received a validation or response. Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 611 ( a ) ( 5 ), it is my understanding that companies have 30 days to investigate disputes. If they can not verify the information within the 30 day time period, they must delete all of the disputed accounts from my report. With that being said, am requesting permanent deletion of the disputed and unverified accounts.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I discovered that Convergent Outsourcing, a company I had never heard of before and never done business with, had placed a blatantly inaccurate and unverified collection account on several of my credit reports for an account that does not belong to me. I immediately contacted the credit bureaus via certified mail and asked for the debt to be properly verified and to be provided a copy of the original written contract with my original signature on it. After an improper investigation, the credit bureaus validated the debt and Convergent Outsourcing sent me a copy of a XXXX bill from XXXX with my name on it. However, anything other than a copy of the original signed contract would be insufficient. A bill without a contract does not validate a debt according to the FCRA. The document they provided is NOT a contract and they did NOT provide me anything with my signature. I have never used XXXX and have been with XXXX for approximately the past 10 years. I wrote a second request to the credit bureaus for the original contract and was denied once again, still without a proper investigation. Convergent Outsourcing has demonstrated that they are unwilling and more importantly unable to provide the original contract with all terms and conditions neither with them or the original creditor because I have never had any type of business relationship with either. They are not able to provide a summary of account activities, history of payments made, history of any late payments charged to the account, dates of payments received, or even one single document with my original signature on it, nor do they even have anything with my digital signature. Convergent Outsourcing has had dozens of class-action lawsuits filed against them for multiple violations of the FCRA. They have a long history of doing this exact same thing to many other people.

Subissue: Threatened or suggested your credit would be damaged
Consumer Complaint: Back in XXXX I was called by a collection agency about a XXXX account I had never opened. I informed them they are incorrect and I have never had a XXXX account before. They told me to pay {$3000.00} or get an affidavit saying that it was Identity Theft. I went to a XXXX store and told them what happened but the only help they offered was giving me a copy of the account statement opened in my name ( Account # XXXX ). I filed a police report on XX/XX/XXXX with XXXX County Police report # XXXX. I gave them the incident report number and they left me alone. One year after that another Debt collector tried to contact me. I gave them the police report number and they left me alone. Then in XXXX Convergent Outsourcing contacted me for the same debt. I told them the same thing, and shared with them the incident report. They didn't care and said that they were going to put it on my credit report as a derogatory account. Since XXXX of XXXX they have impacted my credit report even though I told them it was not my account and provided the police report. I tried disputing the report with XXXX but they did not resolve it either.

Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: First lets start off with me disputing this account with the credit bureaus. Time after time Convergent Outsourcing verifies this debt that I had no idea about. I finally sent them a validation letter to get more information on the account and to see if they are legally able to collect on the debt. It has been more than 30 days I have not received any thing from Convergent Outsourcing. I am also including the tracking number from USPS to confirm that they did receive my letter but failed to supply me with documentation from this account. Tracking XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Since they have ignored my letter they must delete this account from my reports. If they had the proper documentation I am 100 % sure they wouldve responded already.
