Consumer Complaint: There was a fraudulent account opened in my name through XXXX sometime around XX/XX/XXXX. I called XXXX about the fraudulent account and they were making it difficult to resolve the issue. With no other option I disputed the debt with XXXX credit and they deleted the fraudulent account from my credit report. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX sends the account to Convergent Outsourcing for collections after XXXX deleted the fraudulent account. Convergent Outsourcing mailed me a notice of the collection a few weeks ago. I called them told them to stop harassing me since account is fraudulent and XXXX deleted the fraudulent account. Convergent Outsourcing has filed a debt collection on my credit report pertaining to the fraudulent account.

Consumer Complaint: Convergent Outsourcing is continuously reporting the same debt that is not owed by me for their client XXXX I have repeatedly asked the company and the companys they keep hiring to provide me the phone calls and case notes showing that XXXX never provided me with the service they I was falsely sold. 4 years later I have not received this information and now Convergent malpractices reporting the same account and money 3 times in a 2 week span. If you review my credit, I pay my bills and no debts for the past 10 years. They are doing this intentionally trying to use tactics to damage my credit. This should not be allowed to be done and should be considered against credit collections.

Consumer Complaint: Convergent Outsourcing is reporting a debt on my credit file that is not mine. Please note that this is not a refusal to pay, but I am asking for validation. Under the FDCPA, I have to right to request validation and I am requesting proof that I am the party you are asking to pay this debt and that there is some contractual obligation that is binging on me to pay this debt. I am NOT requesting verification but a request that validation is made. I ask that your offices provide me with competent evidence that I have any legal obligation to pay you. During this time, if your office continues to report invalidated information to any of the 3 major credit bureaus, this can constitute fraud under both federal and state laws. If you continue to report I will not hessite in bringing legal action against you for violation of the FDCPA and defamation of character. If Convergent Outsourcing is able to provide proper documentation I will require 60 days to investigate this information and during such time all collection activity must cease. If you fail to respond within the 30 days, all references to this account must be deleted and removed from credit and copy of a deletion letter shall be sent to me immediately.

Consumer Complaint: I've sent multiple letters to this agency about this not being my account. After being advised by identitytheft.gov, I've completed and sent a fraud affidavit via certified mail. I can see they received it, but nothing has changed. See supporting documents. Even the USPS tracking. My official complaint is against CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING. My information was used to obtain an apartment, cell phone, and an auto loan with my ex-partner. I am a victim of identity theft and have put this off for too long. I've completed the proper steps, 1. notify creditors 2. police report 3. informed the state of Texas. The individual I've suspected for this theft is now deceased, and the police department said to contact the federal trade commission to seek relief. These companies disregard laws and dont care whos credit or lives they impact. Please remove this collection from my credit report.

My identity was used to obtain a phone line that I did not request and I do not know the year this was originally opened because it is not displayed properly on my credit report. I've been on a Family members phone line and for a long time and do not have my own XXXX Account and never did. My Social Security Number & Identity has been stolen and used in the past.
