Consumer Complaint: I applied for an income-driven repayment plan in XXXX to work toward PSLF when I started working for a new public employer. I had been on the IBR program before leaving to work for three years for a non-qualified employer, and thought this was still the only program I was eligible for. I was put on IBR, which required I pay 15 % of my income toward my student loan. I was never informed that I was eligible for the REPAYE program, which started later and allowed me to instead pay 10 % of my salary. I just found out about REPAYE in XXXX, applied and was approved. Because my servicer ( via MyFedLoan ) didn't inform me that I was eligible for a lower payment, I have been overpaying by 5 % of my income for over five years. Is there any recourse to get this refunded? Thanks, XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I reached out to FedLoan Servicing on XX/XX/2021 using the contact box on their website ( after logging in to my account ) to find out : -When will I need to recertify my income after student loan payments resume to stay on my income drive repayment plan? -What will my monthly payment be when payments resume? I received an automatic replay on XX/XX/2021 and so far no one has responded to my email.

Consumer Complaint: I submitted my employer certification form for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program in XXXX of XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from FedLoan Servicing stating they received it. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter stating they needed more time to determine if the employer qualified. I followed up with them again and let them know that this was the same employer, the same job, and the same EIN number that I submitted previously ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and which was immediately approved at that time. They would not give me a clear answer as to why it was different this time. At first they said it was a different EIN number, but then I showed them that it was the same EIN number, and then they had no answer. They said it could take three months to approve. I have reached out multiple times and never get any new information. It has now been over 4 months and there is no answer. Again, this is the exact same employer ( a public school district ) and the exact same EIN, and the exact same job that they previously approved in a matter of days. There is no reason I should have to wait months and months for them to process my employer certification form.

Consumer Complaint: There is a discrepancy in the number of qualifying payments for my loans. I spoke with XXXX ( XXXX ) from myfedloan on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX who informed me that they are unable to confirm payments made with direct loans from the periods of XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX as well as from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX because direct loans no longer exist. I have not been given credit for payments made when XXXX XXXX was my loan service provider.

Consumer Complaint: A few months ago, I had filed a complaint against AES for Deceptive and Unfair practices per a private educational loan for $ XXXX I had secured back in XXXX. See Complaint ID : XXXX AES had this student listed as someone who made an initial repayment on the loan and then suddenly stopped making further payments. This resulted in being Blacklisted as Defaulted Loan Presently 90 or More Days Delinquent. Indeed, AES had the following notation in my Credit Report ( CR ) : AES 120 - 149 Days Late. After initially complaining to CFPB about this deception, AES appeared to have fixed the report by updating the CR to reflect : Your account is current! However, to my dismay, I recently on XX/XX/XXXX, applied for a Grad Plus loan but was denied based on what AES was now claiming, that being, " Defaulted Loan Which Has Been Claim Paid. '' There is no doubt this labeling creates an adverse circumstance that resulted in this student being denied a regular XXXX XXXX loan. See attached copy of Letter of XXXX from Federal Student Aid. At this juncture, it is important to note that " Any Title IV debt that is currently in default '' serves as a legitimate barrier for consideration for a student loan.

Consumer Complaint: My complaint is against Fedloan Servicing, the company who has managed my student loans for over 20 years. I believe that I was eligible for the TEPSLF program yet denied repeatedly. I have been a full time XXXX XXXX XXXX for 22 years, and my student loans have never been delinquent. This is my second complaint regarding this matter. Fedloan Servicing responded after my first complaint, but has once again changed the requirements to qualify for the TEPSLF program. In addition to the following timeline, I have included emails as evidence of my claims. XX/XX/XXXX - I applied for PSLF XX/XX/XXXX - Fedloan Servicing notified me that I did not qualify for PSLF XX/XX/XXXX - I applied for TEPSLF XX/XX/XXXX - Fedloan Servicing denied my application stating that I did not apply for PSLF ( not true ) XXXX XXXX - I resubmitted PSLF application XX/XX/XXXX - Denied again for PSLF ; Reapplied for TEPSLF XX/XX/XXXX - Fedloan Servicing denied TEPSLF, stating that I did not have all 12 qualifying payments ( I think I was 2 short ) XX/XX/XXXX - Spoke to Fedloan representative who told me I should now DEFINITELY qualify for TEPSLF ; I applied for TEPSLF XX/XX/XXXX - I received an email from Fedloan Servicing stating that I did not qualify for TEPSLF due to not having 120 qualifying payments ( a major change from 12 qualifying payments ) XXXX XXXX - Submitted a complaint to CFPB ( # XXXX ), because Fedloans changed the qualifying terms. XXXX XXXX - Fedloan representative claimed they did not change the term of the loan, and that I did not qualify for other reasons they could not explain. This information was not consistent with the email they sent. I sent another request for TEPSLF XX/XX/XXXX - I received an email that once again I did not qualify for TEPSLF. This time, they went back to stating only 12 qualifying payments were needed, but they claimed my payments were not enough. The email states that my payments needed to be at least {$620.00}. I had been paying {$760.00} every month since XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX - I spoke with a supervisor at Fedloan Servicing regarding my qualifying payments and why I did not qualify for TEPSLF. She said 2 of my loans still did not qualify ( this made no sense to me ), but she assured me that I would qualify in XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX - Prepared to resubmit my request for TEPSLF but discovered Fedloans had once again changed the requirements from 12 to 120 qualifying payments. This process has been emotionally draining, time consuming, and upsetting. I have complied with Fedloan Serving and met their original requirements of the TEPSLF program only to be repeatedly denied. I believe this company is committing fraud and should be investigated.

Consumer Complaint: I have reached 120 qualify payments and can apply for loan forgiveness however FedLoans is saying that three of my payments that were made which I have documented and bank statements proving were made on time and were qualifying payments have not been included in this is delaying my forgiveness process. I have asked for a manual review as far back as XX/XX/2020 was still no resolution to this issue.

Consumer Complaint: I submitted my TEPSLF documentation to FedLoan around XX/XX/XXXX. I have worked for the Federal government ( one employer ) for over 10 years I thought this would be a good chance to see if my payments qualified considering the Covid relief bill allowed the months of forbearance to count as qualifying payments. I received a letter about a week later saying that they received my application and are verifying my employer. A month later, I submitted my wife 's paperwork which included two different employer verifications. In two weeks, they reviewed her documentation and found she didn't have the years of service yet to qualify. I found this odd since I haven't received anything other than my initial letter. I called and was told it could take 60 days and to call back in a month. I called in XXXX and was told it was still being processed. I called again in XXXX and was told that they are reviewing them as they come in and have a backlog. I said I mailed my wife 's a month after and she was done. I was told well verifying some employers take longer. I contacted the Dept of Education and they had FedLoan escalations contact me. They requested updated documentation the time I was requesting that they look at it but then said that they will send a letter when they finish reviewing it. No timeframe or anything. The TEPSLF is a temporary program. It seems like FedLoans is slow-rolling anyone that might actually qualify. I can send you my forms but it does have XXXX in it.
