Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Funds not handled or disbursed as instructed
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 my phone was stolen and my bank account was ultimately withdrawn from to a negative balance. I contacted Wells Fargo on the same day using my roommates cell phone and notified Wells Fargo that all of the transactions were fraudulent due to my phone being stolen. The fraudulent charges included : XXXX XXXX transfers totaling {$2000.00} XXXX XXXX transfer totaling {$3500.00} XXXX wire transfers totaling {$24000.00} I received a notice from Wells Fargo dated XXXX in reference to the above mentioned XXXX transfer. This notice stated that the transfer was deemed an authorized transaction. I called Wells Fargo on XXXX to follow up on this notice and inquire about the remaining fraudulent activity. I was then told that there was only a claim for the aforementioned zelle transfer. This was a big mistake on behalf of Wells Fargo. I then put in another claim for the remaining fraudulent activity. On XXXX I received a notice from WF that the wire transfers were deemed as authorized transactions and that Wells Fargo, as a courtesy, had attempted to do a wire recall but that the funds were not available at the receiving bank. The issue here is that I put in claim on XX/XX/XXXX but WF did not make an attempt at recalling the transfer until after XX/XX/XXXX, due to their mistake. I also received notice from WF that the XXXX XXXX transactions were deemed as not authorized, so that money was returned to my account. The issue with this is that it was actually the first of all of the fraudulent charges after my phone was stolen, so this would set a chronological precedence of unauthorized transactions.

Issue: Applying for a mortgage or refinancing an existing mortgage
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: This is part of the Wells Fargo claims. I refinanced my home mortgage with them in XXXX and paid the loan in XXXX. I do not believe it was reviewed with the other class action lawsuits because the loan was paid in full. I would like it to be reviewed as part of the settlement. I believe this because when I reached out to Wells Fargo to obtain the loan number last month they infomercial it would take two full months to get the number ( which is ridiculous because I can obtain my XXXX orders from two years ago in 15 seconds! ). If my loan information was so hidden I dont think they reviewed it.

Consumer Complaint: CFPB Orders Wells Fargo to Pay {$3.00} XXXX for Widespread Mismanagement of Auto Loans, Mortgages, and Deposit Accounts. Re-Mortgage. I had previously started a complain through CFPB ( XXXX ) which they closed because they said they tried to reach me. The first time they called I was in a meeting and stepped out to take the call, in speaking with the representative I asked if we can schedule a call to which he answer he would call me back. I did received call from wells Fargo but they were during working hours and I missed the calls. they are really not trying to help the consumer. So, they closed it. Well is not that simple, therefore I am requesting everything to be in writing. Further more I am requesting Wells Fargo Mortgage for the following : 1. A complete Forensic Audit of my account 2. The Original Promissory Note 3. Any and all assignments of mortgage done without my authorization 4. an explanation of the audit which may include all but not limited to charges, fees, assessments, balance transfer etc. I am demanding to have them have it In Writing within 30 days. FRAUD IS CRIMINAL AND JUSTICE NEEDS TO PREVAIL. Furthermore I request Wells Fargo Pays the amounts due based on the CFPB plus 10X the amount due to pain and suffering. Wells Fargo is not helping and does not make it easy for affected parties with concerns to answer our questions, call this number call that number and at the end- nothing. I requested the simplest thing : tell me whether or not you have or will send me a letter telling me if you considered that I was affected. of course I was!!!!! I have to wait with he million of people to see if we ever going to get a letter. they can do better than that!!! I get the wait in line but they know who they wronged.

Subissue: Problem with rewards from credit card
Consumer Complaint: In my business I use my company credit card for almost 100 % of my purchases and expenses. As a result I enjoy the Wells fargo Bank ( WFB ) Rewards program, where I earn points that I mostly use for Airline Travel or Gift Cards. For eight weeks now, I have been fighting WFB because their Rewards program experienced a System Error with my account and froze my earned points. Attached is a WORD document that is a log I immediately began to document the time and progress to correct their mistake. So far, I estimate that I have spent almost twenty hours either on the phone, or in person at one of their branches, with no success. One of the WFB Rewards Customer Service Agents privately recommended that I take legal steps. The Total Available Points is now : XXXX This has a cash ( or Gift Card ) value of {$4000.00} In airline miles it is worth even more.

Consumer Complaint: As I conveyed to you today XXXX XXXX contacted me on Tuesday, XX/XX/2023 he asked me how much I could pay for rent that he was an Owner of some apartment buildings. He gave me the address at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and told me to call him at XXXX once I arrived at the building. He said that the apartment was unregistered and he would charge me {$1100.00} a month. I explained in the XXXX ad that as a good faith gesture I could pay the security deposit and up to 3 months rent but I couldn't pay no more than {$1100.00} and I was temping and looking for another job so at this time I wasn't working. When I arrived at the building I actually saw XXXX sitting on the steps across the street where he said he lived in a senior building. He opened the door and took me upstairs to the 3rd floor and I looked at the apartment. XXXX called him while I was actually in the apartment and I spoke to him from XXXX 's phone. I told him I liked the apartment. He said it was the XXXX holiday and I needed to put something down. I withdrew XXXX cashier 's checks for {$1100.00} from my Wells Fargo account and deposited them into account number XXXX at XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. He then called on Monday, XX/XX/XXXX and said he had met with the other Owners and they needed another deposit of {$1100.00}. I went to Wells Fargo and did the same, depositing the XXXX check into the same XXXX XXXX and same account number. Although, he wanted me to deposit this last check into a XXXX XXXX which I never did because he said he would deposit the last check back into my account and then I could write him another check. I refused then he started getting upset and said obviously I didn't want the apartment. I had called XXXX on Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX and asked him if the apartment was still available. He said someone was living in the apartment. When I told XXXX he became upset and said I had no business calling XXXX that the apartment was being held for me. XXXX, I have filled out an application, a copy of my driver 's license, he has my social security number, I forwarded my bank statement and I sent them to XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ). I texted him ( XXXX XXXX and asked for my money to be immediately deposited back into my account via XXXX and that I was going to take him to court. Wells Fargo confirmed yesterday with copies that he has already cashed the three checks. Any help would be greatly appreciated since you know him.

Consumer Complaint: I noticed fraudulent activity with my account on XX/XX/2023. I immediately went to the bank and reported it. They took down my information and filed a case on my behalf. Today XX/XX/2023 I tried to check my account and was denied access and was instructed to call I called the number they provided me. I was told that since my complaint was about a wire to a bank in XXXX that they had tried to get the funds back from said that they had no funds to send and I must have given my user name and password to someone or let them take control of my computer that I would not receive any credit back to my account. I asked them why would I give someone that information and then come to the bank and file a claim on the same day it happened. I was told that wire transfers take place in real time and that there was nothing that they could do. I did not authorize a wire transfer nor do I know anyone in XXXX, and I have never attempted to make a transfer of this kind in the past nor will I make one in the future.

Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Lender trying to repossess or disable the vehicle
Consumer Complaint: I had a vehicle loan with Wells Fargo for a used truck. The truck was improperly repossessed in 2019, even though I had made payments regularly, never missed a payment, was not late on a payment, etc. I even continued to make payments on the vehicle after it was repossessed, on advice of Wells Fargo. I was told in writing that I could regain possession of the vehicle by paying for the repossession fee and continuing to make regular payments. In other words, there was no reason ever provided to me for the repossession except to say that " defaults occurred under the Contract/Security Agreement. No explanation was ever provided as to the nature of any default ( s ). I pursued this for many months with the company, but eventually gave up.
