Issue: Problems at the end of the loan or lease
Subissue: Unable to receive car title or other problem after the loan is paid off
Consumer Complaint: I received an auto payoff letter from Wells Fargo for an Auto loan for one buyer and received the title with another person name on it thats been deceased since XXXX. They cashed the check from my credit u ion in the amount of XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. I didnt receive the title until XX/XX/XXXX. And found out XX/XX/XXXX that I couldnt register the vehicle because the paperwork didnt match up. Now I have to wait for the deceased Parent to receive papers from the Courts before the title can be corrected. I was given a 30 day window before that paperwork is returned. Which will be XXXX. Im paying daily interest of {$11.00} since XX/XX/XXXX and Im not in receipt of the vehicle. I do not feel Im responsible for any fees acquired until I receive the proper paperwork from Wells Fargo. The loan was payed off out of deception. I thought I was purchasing a car from one buyer and not from someone whos been deceased since XXXX. Wells Fargo had ample time to rectify the paperwork. They cashed the check XX/XX/XXXX. Wells Fargo advised me that I have to contact XXXX XXXX or My bank. Wells Fargo shouldve listed both parties on the paperwork. However Im the only one paying for something thats not in my possession and wont be for another 30 plus days.

Issue: Applying for a mortgage or refinancing an existing mortgage
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: in XXXX my parents refinanced a mortgage with wells fargo in XXXX my father passed away in XXXX my mother passed away i was authorized on the account and had power of attorney. I did not know my poa was no longer valid after my mother was deceased but continued making mortgage payments to XXXX XXXX i do believe this account was put into an automatic forebearance due to covid-19. every mortgage payment was made from XXXX to XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX i started the forebearance in 3 month increments for 12 months. being authorized when it was time to talk to the lender about the next step in XX/XX/XXXX i asked to have the forebearance year put on the back of the loan so i can resume making payments. A representative from wells fargo insisted i do a modified loan and insisted i look at the new loan, i agreed and when i received the loan at the end of it it needed notarized signatures from both parents. i called wells fargo back to let them know that my parents were deceased and they told me i needed to send both death certificates and a copy of my identification. i sent in the information and they informed me i needed to wait for their response. when i received the response it stated i needed to get a letter to creditors a publishing and other legal documents. while i hired an attorney to provide all of this documentation i received a letter stating i am no longer able to access the account or make any payments. i was also told via telephone conversation that i would not be foreclosed on after i stated to make my payments by a representative. while all of this was taking place in XXXX of XXXX i received a letter telling me the home was being foreclosed on and the following XXXX the publishing ended the will was administered and my brother who was the beneficiary received a deed of distribution then deeded the home to me because i lived in the home and he was out of state. I called wells fargo well over 30-50 times all of the different departments trying to work with the lender which i had read to keep the home and every response to me was a letter stating i was not a confirmed successor and that they could not work with me. I was under the impression that as long as i was trying to keep the home that they would work with the heir which is myself to keep the home. The home went into foreclosure and auctioned on the XXXX so now there is a holding company that has sent me a 3 day quit notice and letting me know that i am unlawfully living on the property. I am still trying to keep the home and hope that i can keep the modified loan that was offered to my deceased parents who never missed a payment. I am at the present the property owner with mers on my land record. I am willing to continue to work with the lender to keep this home and in hindsight if the home never received an automatic forbearance i could still possibly be living in the home as long as i kept up with the payments.

Consumer Complaint: Issue # XXXX Loan repayment I requested a loan repayment in XXXX of XXXX. Wells Fargo prolonged my request by requesting the same documents over and over. Now we have a approval after XXXX. The approval was a complete modification with a changed interest rate ( 3 % XXXX % ) I have already made my XXXX XXXX payment. Issue # XXXX Insurance Check XXXX XX/XX/XXXX my bathroom flooded. I put in a insurance claim, my insurance wrote the check to me and Wells Fargo. I was told to take the check to Wells Fargo and they would sign and release the check. I did but Wells Fargo would not sign the check because they said quote on quote " WE ARE TREATING YOUR LOAN AS A MODIFIED LOSS AND WANT YOU TO MAIL US THE CHECK ''. My modification was already approved and my XXXX payment was made and on time. So you are discriminating against my loan because I have a MODIFIED loan?? This was said to me on a recoded line. I had water damage and Wells Fargo wants to hold my check to see if I'll default in my modification so they can apply my check to the loan. My repairs are on hold because I can't pay my contractors because Wells Fargo wants to hold my check instead of allowing me to repair my home.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23 I used XXXX to send my brother XXXX XXXX {$1000.00}. It turns out i sent it to the wrong phone number XXXX ( instead of the correct number XXXX ). The recepient 's name of the wrong phone number is NOT XXXX XXXX so it should have never gone through. I immediately called Wells Fargo and they put in a claim and never got back to me. I also requested {$1000.00} from the incorrect number through XXXX, but they ignored it. When I called the bank again today, they said there was nothing they can do becaude the funds are no longer in that person 's account. They suggested I file for civil court but it is otherwise not their problem.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020 I went to my bank and wired {$20000.00} to XXXX XXXX merchant into his bank account. He claimed to have owned real estate. He started by asking me for smaller amounts which he paid back with interest. After he had learned that he had con me into trusting him, he asked that I should wire him {$20000.00} to use purchase some real estate. At first I hesitated but he persuaded me to wire him the money that he will pay back with interest. Immediately I wired the money to his account he disappeared. I later found that that the home which he claimed was his house belongs to a lady who was housing him at the time. I reached out to my bank to help me recover my money and since then nothing has been done. I have been so pained and emotionally distressed because of this situation.

Consumer Complaint: I, the consumer and natural person, creditworthy applicant was denied credit by Wells Fargo XX/XX/2023 and again on XX/XX/2023 upon request for good faith reliance of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act illegally when I applied for a financial product for personal family and household purposes referred to as Wells Fargo Active CashSM Credit Card Account Agreement. Please be aware that I hereby revoke any and all electronic communication with your company in accordance with the E-SIGN ACT in relation to the completed application. Wells Fargo violation of 15 USC 1691 is subject to criminal liability, as I possess evidence that clearly demonstrates discrimination in the adverse action letter I received from Wells Fargo as the financial institution. Adverse action against a consumer is against the law according to the Equal Credit Opportunity Act which is codified in 15 USC 1691c and is pursuant to civil liability under 15 USC 1692k.This act is a clear violation of several state and federal laws, which carry penalties of {$1000.00} per violation. I, as a natural person and original creditor, issued my credit card ( social security card ) through the completion of a consumer financial product application, as digital asset collateral security, in good faith to secure the sum of all charges as otherwise the information clearly and conspicuously to be disclosed as finance charge omitted from required disclosures. This extension of credit was done for the purpose of a special deposit to the fiduciary, Wells Fargo, an insured depository institution, granting them the authority to act on my behalf as a non-citizen national of the United States and an individual consumer. Wells Fargo, as the entity responsible for payment of all duties and accountable for meeting statutory and regulatory requirements resulting from the importation, has discriminated against the delivery of my asset and the approval for the extension of credit. I believe I have been discriminated on account of national origin as a result of unverifiable reasons asserted by Wells Fargo to disgrace me as a consumer. Wells Fargo is subject to criminally liability for violating 15 USC 1691 as I have proof that I was discriminated against by Wells Fargo due to the response I received in adverse action letter allegedly based on reasons as information received that one can not adequately be substantiated as otherwise rumor or gossip. Wells Fargo is in violation of 15 USC 1642, USC 1681m and 12 CFR 1002 because I, the consumer, made a completed application in good faith, but credit was not issued. Furthermore, because my social security account number ( credit card ) was used and i received NO benefit. This is proof of fraudulent activity ( unauthorized use of credit card ) on misappropriated by Wells Fargo.
