Consumer Complaint: was scammed by a breeder who asked me to pay by XXXX and did a bait and switch with her contract I never signed. My attorney wrote a demand letter and Ive submitted two claims to Wells Fargo their executive team has declined. Ive asked in both instances for Wells Fargo to allow me to submit documentation and they failed to do so siding with the breeder. Im holding Wells Fargo complicit to the breeders crimes and filing a complaint. I want my money back as I dont want to have to escalate this to an attorney! I do not accept Wells Fargos response and will file complaints against them with ic3.gov among other federal agencies if my money is not returned. They have failed to read my attorneys letter and act proactively and will now be seeking legal counsel if my money is not returned.

I contacted Wells Fargo repeatedly to request a loan modification and they told me they were going to help but then I received a notice for pre foreclosure. I ended up having to file XXXX XXXX in federal court under Trustee XXXX XXXX. This impacted my career opportunities and my life in general. Wells Fargo knew that I was dealing with a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and I was told that I qualified for a loan modification and then was told not to pay and then received a pre- foreclosure notice. This was a fraudulent practice and they did it to so many others.

There is an additional {$48000.00} that Wells Fargo is REFUSING to dispute on our behalf, as this ACH is set-up on a 48-hour turn around. We have escalated the incident with Wells Fargo and they are still refusing to dispute the charges on our behalf. They provided us a phone number for XXXX XXXX which indicates they are aware the funds were transferred to a XXXX account. We escalated the fraud claim through XXXX. My caller ID said WELLS FARGO XXXX. I answered to a man introduced himself as XXXX XXXX with Wells Fargo to let me know there had been fraud charges on my account. Seeing as I got a text message I assumed he was from the bank. He told me my name, email address and last four digits of my account number. Said this was coming from my business account. She was sick and was talking about how she has no power and staying at her mothers house on the couch with her little boy. When she finally started talking about the account, she said she sees nothing on her end and it was being blocked. I received a text while on the phone with her that a ven was added to my XXXX. She told me to delete it and change my password. ( this is the time that she should had reported my fraud, looked into the wire, cancel the wire, called XXXX XXXX XXXX to freeze that account, or sent me to fraud if she wasnt the fraud dept ) After I got off the phone with her, again she said she saw no activity in my account, I saw the {$5800.00} come out of my savings account and I called again. XXXX called Wells Fargo again and this is when the savings account was closed and transferred and a case was made. Something that should have happened the first time I called about a fraud on my account. XX/XX/XXXX Spoke to XXXX XXXX at the XXXX branch about adding XXXX DBAs to my account and we discussed the fraud. I asked him if I should make a police report and he told me there was no need to at this time. To let the fraud dept do its job. If it doesnt go in my favor which is rare then I can go to the police dept. However, there's no need to waste my time till then. I HAVE NEVER SENT A WIRE TRANSFER IN THE 20 YEARS I HAVE HAD AN ACCOUNT WITH WELLS FARGO Called Wells Fargo on XX/XX/XXXX to ask for information about my phone call on XX/XX/XXXX. She can confirm that she can see that I called and spoke to a representative, however will not give me any information about that phone call. Not even the representative 's name.

Consumer Complaint: We have checking, savings, and credit card accounts with Wells Fargo and have been a customer for 15 years. This month my wife made an error when paying our credit card bill from our checking account by putting an extra zero in the bill pay. Thus, instead of transferring {$1400.00}, it transferred {$14000.00} from our checking to our credit card. We didn't catch the error until the bill pay posted on XX/XX/2023. I contacted Wells Fargo immediately to attempt to rectify the error. I was told that the bill pay had to post first, then the unused balance would be returned to our checking account within 5 business days. After a week the funds had still not been returned to our checking account so I called customer service again on XX/XX/2023. I was told that because the transfer was large ( although at the time large was not defined for me ) it would take 30 days for this to be cleared. That is unacceptable. I was sent up a level at customer service and I requested that the bill pay transaction be reversed in its entirety. I was told that this would occur within 48 hours. 48 hours later the funds had not yet been returned to our checking account. I called again and was transferred up two levels in customer service. This person informed me that for transactions over {$2000.00} it would take 30 days, that there was nothing that could be done to hasten the review and transaction and that Wells Fargo would do nothing to make me whole in the short term. I'm sure all of this is in the fine print of our credit card agreement. Because all of this is internal in Wells Fargo Bank, they have the ability to correct the error overnight if they would choose to do so.
