Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2022 my business office and drawers was broken into and my checkbook was stolen. This incident happened during XXXX XXXX. On Monday XX/XX/XXXX I went to the Wells Fargo branch at XXXX, CA ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) informed them about the theft, and asked them to shut down the bank account. They did close that bank account and set up a new bank account for the company and transferred balances. However, later on when we were reviewing bank accounts, we saw that two of the stolen checks ( with the old account number ) had been deposited and cashed out of the new bank account on XX/XX/XXXX. We have tried handling the issue with Wells Fargo bank, but Wells Fargo bank has not refunded the money to us. It seems that there was no point in closing the old account and reporting the theft because the bank did not stop the payment for the stolen checks. We would like this issue to be resolved with the bank.

Consumer Complaint: I contacted Wells Fargo XXXX times over the past XXXX months ( including an in person branch visit ) regarding unclaimed funds - after receiving initial letter. Each time I was told they would expedite the case and contact me. Only today after repeated attempts did I get an email saying funds had been transferred without contacting me in a timely manner. I was told the unclaimed funds department uses only email - even for the bank itself?! I've been lied to outright by bank reps, and have had delaying tactics used to prevent a timely return of my money. I even used the unclaimed funds department email address as another contact sourcebut they never responded. Unethical and unprofessional.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, a vender " XXXX '' attempted to refund a purchase of {$150.00} to my Wells Fargo Debit card. However, I had closed all my accounts with Wells Fargo in XXXX of XXXX. Rather than rejecting the refund, as apparently is Wells Fargo policy, Wells Fargo accepted the refund and " took '' the money from XXXX. I attach verification from XXXX that Wells Fargo accepted the refund. I reached out to Wells Fargo 6 times and received the following answers from various people : - " The money is floating around our system, and there's no way I can access it. '' - " It's impossible that the refund was accepted by our bank. '' - " I can not pull up your accounts because you closed them in XXXX. '' - " I can see the transaction, but we need to wait 2-3 business days for it to bounce back to XXXX. '' - " I can not even see the transaction on our end. XXXX must be mistaken. '' I have reached out to XXXX multiple times, and each time they assure me they have not received the funds back from Wells Fargo. As far as I am concerned, Wells Fargo stole my money. Also, Wells Fargo repeatedly refused to communicate with me in writing. I was hung up on multiple times. I was told all my calls were recorded, but that I could not have access to those recordings. These practices reek of deception and deniability.

Consumer Complaint: My checking account was wrongfully closed. After XXXX XXXX falsely accused me of harassment to them. I even have a letter from them stating that my checking account was due to XXXX XXXX. People think in XXXX XXXX age group that they are so mart but their not. They don't have a right to close my account based on defamation of my character. They are full of it as usual. This incident occurred at their bank. She brought the neighbor 's problem to the bank. So wells fargo is responsible for thier employees actions. They can deny they wrongfully closed my account all they like. I was stalked by XXXX XXXX and this was why. I was made to come to the local branch. This is a clear violation of my civil rights, for them to ban me from wells fargo. AFTER XXXX XXXX falsely accused me and called the police on me. While I was at the branch. I had no problems prior to XXXX XXXX wrongfully interfering with my banking business. This is a clear violation of my civil rights telling me not to visit any wells fargo. They are the ones who continue to cover up for XXXX XXXX. This is why I am due compensation from XXXX XXXX for falsely calling the police. This will add to my lawsuit their continue denial of them siding with their employee XXXX XXXX. I was WRONGED here by the entire wells fargo bank. Only after XXXX XXXX knew she would get away with it. Because XXXX XXXX is one of their friends covering up for them. This was down right CRUEL what was done to me and my son. XXXX XXXX acted like she was going to settle. But she is just as evil and criminal like XXXX and XXXX XXXX. These young people think they can outsmart everyone else who is older than them. I am banned from doing any business with wells fargo. Because of XXXX XXXX. The problem is they weren't exercising their right to close my account. The first year that I had my account until XXXX XXXX falsely accused me of them. Is when they exercised their right to close my account. They keep missing that part. I was wronged by wells fargo and continue being wronged. With them saying they terminated the business relationship. All due to XXXX XXXX falsely accusing me to XXXX XXXX. I haven't done anything to deserve this type of treatment. It was unfair for my account to be closed. Based on a LIE. This is where I am owed compensation and how XXXX XXXX falsely accused me of harassing her XXXX XXXX was on their property. When she messed with me. She just kept messing with me. XXXX XXXX keeps ignoring the face like they all have. That my account wasn't closed until XXXX XXXX falsely accused me. Wells fargo is responsible for my pain and suffering and emotional distress. My new checking account only had been open not even a month. When it was closed.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX To Whom It May Concern : Monday, XX/XX/XXXX : My Wells Fargo ( WF ) credit card was denied at XXXX in XXXX XXXX. Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX : I called WF to sort out why my credit card was denied. I was on the phone for over 40 minutes. Customer Service 1 ( CS1 ) : It was determined that the two checks and associated WF statement stubs were mailed in on time, but WF, in error, posted my payment to the wrong account [ my wifes account ]. Simple input error. My account was charged a {$25.00} late fee and a {$13.00} interest fee [ {$38.00} total ] on an account that should have had a XXXX balance. We asked that these fees be removed. CS1 was authorized to reverse the late fee but not the interest fee. Thus, I was transferred to the next level up [ next level are their words, not mine ]. CS2 had authority and removed the erroneous interest fees. However, she was unable to confirm if the hold on my account was removed and if my card now worked. Thus, I was transferred to the next level up. I asked CS3 if the hold on my account had been removed. She told me that she saw no hold on my account. I explained there was a hold and asked if she could see it on her records. She said my account shows no hold history. Me : If there was no hold on my account, why didnt my card work? CS3 : It was because my account was delinquent. Me : My account was delinquent because of WFs error. Is your circular semantic conversation regarding a hold on my account internally referred to as a delinquent account? CS3 : Correct. A hold pertains to stolen or fraud concerns ; delinquent pertains to late payments. Me : How do you refer to a hold on a delinquent account? CS # : Delinquent. Me : So, does my card now work? CS3 : The information is in the system and when the system updates your card will work. Me : When will that system update? CS3 : The information is in the system, but I dont know how long the system takes to update. I ended the conversation thinking that CS3 was intentionally uncooperative and abrasive and assumed the system would probably update by the next day. Thursday, XX/XX/XXXX : Stopped at XXXX to purchase propane for the barbeque. My WF credit card was denied. I called customer service and XXXX minutes and three levels of escalation later I was told : CS1 : After rehashing everything, I was informed that the system takes three to five days to update, before being transferred to the next level. CS2 : A minimum payment of {$25.00} would release the delinquency on my account. This was quite clever of CS2 to come up with this workaround. However, I explained that my account should have a XXXX balance. Why would I pay {$25.00} on an account with a XXXX balance? This could inadvertently imply that my payment was late. I reminded CS2 that I was charged a {$25.00} late fee and a {$13.00} interest fee when the error was thought to be my fault. Now that we know its WFs fault, logic would have it that WF should pay the {$25.00} minimum payment to correct their error to release my account. CS2 didnt have that authority and transferred me to CS3 the next level. CS3 was said to be part of the executive or administrative office. After regretting the same information, I was told that a complaint would be filed, a case manager assigned, and I would receive an email from, I think, a case manager in twenty-four to forty-eight hours to address my concerns. I explained that that did me no good, and reiterated the logic that WF charged the consumers their presumed explicit costs when they errored, but when WF errors, the inconvenience, and costs to the consumer are dismissed in favor of WF, and the bogus late fees and interest payments are considered implicit costs. This smacks of another WF dishonest scheme. From XXXX to XXXX, Wells Fargo had 123 financial offenses. Of those, 38 were consumer protection offenses, 61 were employment, 6 were competition, and 2 were government contracting violations with penalties over $ 10B. Their top five primary offenses are 18 consumer protection and 18 banking violations, 7 mortgages & 7 toxic securities abuse, and 1 fraud. XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX needs to also stop the defamation of my character. By saying please refrain from visiting a wells fargo bank. I have no desire to visit this XXXX bank. She is violating my civil rights by saying it also. XXXX XXXX did defame my character in closing my account. So XXXX XXXX needs to get off her high horse. XXXX XXXX did it on purpose knowing she would get out of this. I have been ganged up on unjustly. She candeny XXXX XXXX defamed my character all they like. This has caused all this situation that I'm in know. Yes, this is a banking problem with XXXX XXXX falsely accusing me of harassing her. And she got the bank involved in harassing me as well. They are bound and determined to let them go. They need to stop denying the wrong they did to me. Because it will all come out how I was treated. Wells fargo owes me compensation for all the pain and suffering i had to endure for no reason. Making me travel back and forth to the bank to set up a new checking account. When in reality it was setting me up for XXXX XXXX to call the police to have me arrested. She does her best to come around me but falsely says I'm harassing her. I was wronged. I didn't even want a checking account with them in the first place. This banker XXXX XXXX. Kept pestering me to open a checking account to deposit my insurance check for hail damage. Because my insurance company uses XXXX. XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX are way to harsh and cruel to me for no reason. XXXX XXXX needs to stop lying saying they make sure customers are treated fairly. Well i wasn't treated fairly they took XXXX XXXX side without getting my side of the story. My son was with me at the bank and can be a witness that I wasn't harassing XXXX XXXX. Then after going through all the trouble of opening my new account. Wells fargo closed it exercising their right to. But they keep ignoring the fact to deny me compensation they weren't doing it. Until XXXX XXXX started meddling into my private bank businesses and disabled my online access to my checking account. Abusing her position as district manager. I have no desire to enter a wells fargo bank. These wells fargo employees better stop insulating that I am going to them. This is also defamation of my character. What happen to me this time happen inside wells fargo bank. But instead they unjustly took against out against me closed my new checking account and banned me from doing business with wells fargo. XXXX XXXX needs to stop telling this lie. Yes an error did occur. When wells fargo belived XXXX XXXX false accusations that I harassed her. I never harassed her. I explained to XXXX XXXX how corrupt the cops are and they sided with her because of her age and my age. That is what is wrong with my case. They wrongfully closed my account. After XXXX XXXX falsely accused me. They rushed to judgement and condemned me without getting my side of the story. But this was her point all along. To get me in the bank so they can set me up to get rid of me. It's a low down dirty thing to treat someone. XXXX XXXX continued to further damage my reputation. By telling me to please refrain from entering a wells fargo bank. She is falsely accusing me and going along with XXXX and XXXX XXXX lies. Stalking is against the law. Which is what XXXX XXXX was doing to me when I was traveling back and forth to the bank. There is evidence of slander and defamation. My checking account got closed. Not even a month of it being open. I was in the dark and embarassed. When i tried to use my debit card and it was declined. People in the age group as XXXX XXXX think, their pretty smart. They aren't.

Consumer Complaint: Dear CFPB, I am writing to lodge a complaint against Wells Fargo Bank for their unprofessional, unreasonable, and deliberately troublesome approach towards customers, resulting in wasted time and a lack of resolution in handling disputes. I recently encountered a dispute with XXXX regarding an order. I have already returned the merchandise, but the XXXX system has not been updated. Despite my numerous attempts to contact them and reach out to USPS to locate the package, which has already been picked up, I have been unsuccessful. Therefore, I had no choice but to initiate a dispute through my bank. However, Wells Fargo has been the least competent among the banks I have dealt with when it comes to handling disputes. They lack the necessary expertise and only waste customers time. After waiting for 15 minutes, they transferred my call to the dispute department, where I had to explain everything all over again. This is a deliberate attempt to inconvenience customers and waste their time, ultimately leading them to give up. In comparison to the services provided by XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, my experience with Wells Fargo has been extremely disappointing.
