Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I received a call, the caller ID came up as Wells Fargo. The person identified himself as XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX He asked if I had made two separate purchases in the state of Florida? I replied that I hadn't. He asked if I knew a XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX? I replied that I didn't know either of these people. He told me that they had transferred {$6700.00} from my checking account. He walked me through the steps to get the money transferred back to my account. Believing I was talking to a Wells Fargo agent I did what he told me to do. The next morning I went online to look at my account and that's when I realized that I had been scammed. I immediately went to my nearest Wells Fargo bank and reported what had happened. They said they would investigate the incident. Within ten days I received a letter from Wells Fargo stating that I was at fault and I wouldn't be reimbursed. Since I had never made a money transfer through their system I think the bank should have alerted me before they sent the transfer. Also, I was always under the impression that my money was insured. I still am suspicious and think it may have been a Wells Fargo employee that scammed me.

Consumer Complaint: Wells fargo sent an employee XXXX XXXX to my house to offer a " free '' home equity loan. I told he I did not need a loan and she said it was " free. '' I said no and she returned with the local branch manager to convince me that " free '' couldn't hurt. Several years later after no monthly or annual fees I tried to renegotiate my first mortgage due to falling interest rates and Wells fargo wanted {$500.00} to cancel my " free '' home equity loan. I believe this to e bait and switch and false advertising on their part. I want my {$500.00} back with interest and penalty

Consumer Complaint: The presence of a derogatory rating on my account is deeply concerning to me. I am worried about the impact it may have on my credit, as it has already resulted in the denial of a recent loan application and an increase in the interest rates on my existing credit accounts. I want to emphasize the significant financial and emotional distress this negative rating has caused me and will continue to cause until it is resolved.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23 I drove up to the ATM to make a cash deposit in my business account at the location located XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX TX. My intent was to deposit {$2000.00} cash that day to the account. I put {$2000.00} in the machine of which it only took {$920.00}. It returned {$80.00} back to me which I kept. It did not account for the {$1000.00} ( all in {$100.00} bills ) nor did the machine give any errors. It just took it. Not XXXX minutes later I pulled over and called the back immediately to let them know what happened. The claim was filed. Figured it wouldnt be a problem Iam sure this happens to alot of people because those machines do not count the money wrong. I know this because its happened to me to me on more than one occasion so I cant be the only one. And because of this I tend to count the money twice sometimes XXXX times before depositing into the ATM. But this is the first time it actually took my money without returning it all. I was shocked when I called Wells Fargo for an update yesterday and they told me they found nothing. How could this be?

Issue: Struggling to pay mortgage
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: Our family was devastated by XXXX XXXX and my husband XXXX was out of work for over one year and hospitalized and XXXX and nearly passed. During that time we fell behind on the mortgage payment with Wells Fargo and I tried to see if there were any programs available to help families devastated financially because of the pandemic. When I talked to their agents they told me they could not offer a forbearance or deferment or any solution, but said they would mail out a form for me to fill out. But nothing was ever received. I called their agents repeatedly, asking for help, any type of help. They did not offer a forbearance, they did not offer a deferment of delinquent payments due to XXXX, they did not offer a modification and never sent the paperwork needed to be considered for help. My husband was at death 's door and unable to work and we could not pay our mortgage payment because of the deadly pandemic and Wells Fargo, a multi billion dollar company could not even offer us any type of relief. To make matters worse they listed our house for sale and failed to notify us until one week before the sale. We did not know we were in foreclosure, we did not receive any notification of the legal process and the only reason we knew there was a sale date was because of we got a letter on XX/XX/XXXX telling us the sale was in one week. The Notice of Sale paperwork is dated XX/XX/XXXX and they claim that the notice was posted on our property and mailed to us on XX/XX/XXXX. This is false, the document was not even notarized as legitimate until XX/XX/XXXX. It is quite obvious that Wells Fargo wanted to steal our equity instead of working with us on our hardship. ( document attached ) We bought this home with a conventional 30 year fixed loan with Wells Fargo in XXXX. We had no problems with the mortgage payments or finances. XXXX has worked as a mechanic for 43 years and I work as a customer service assistant. However, we were not prepared for the devastation from XXXX and the toll it would take on my husband. We were fine the first few months when he was out of work, but once he went in the hospital the extra bills plus the loss of his income was too much and we could not keep up with our mortgage payment. We were desperate for help and I called so many times to try and find out if Wells Fargo could help our family with our missed payments but were never given access to any of the programs such as CARES, forbearance, loan modification or repayment plan. We fell further behind and Wells Fargo decided it would be better to foreclose on us than to work with us Due to the fact that we had such late notice of the foreclosure we were forced to file bankruptcy in order to save our home. This was avoidable if Wells Fargo would have worked with us and followed the servicing guidelines. XXXX is healthy and back to work full time as of XX/XX/XXXX and I am back working full time also. Our hardship is resolved. We need Wells Fargo to work with us to fix this problem.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Overcharged for something you did purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: What happened? I believe that Wells Fargo ( Visa-Signature Card ) is a collaborator in allowing fraud to be perpetrated on client Credit Card Accounts. They ( Wells Fargo Bank ) continue to allow ongoing fraud it so that they can collect their fees on the transaction and allow fraud to continue, to the loss of their customers. On XX/XX/2023 my wife and I contacted " get a room - Booking.com '' to make a XXXX day reservation at hotel in XXXX, XXXX. The vender informed us that the room would be {$1000.00} and once booked the funds were not refundable. Being " non-refundable '' was not an issue for us as we were going to be there at the appointed time. We agreed to that price, provided the vender our credit card info, and the vender then confirmed the reservation had been made and my credit card was debited for {$1500.00}. What? They added on {$510.00} for " taxes and fees '' without breaking down what amount was taxes and what amount were fees in addition to my not agreeing to that price. The final debit amount was never disclosed in the conversation until she said it was too late to cancel. ( red flag-one ) I asked that she reverse the reservation as she did not have my permission to debit that amount. I did not authorize that amount. She said that she could not reverse the reservation once made. ( red flag-two ) I asked to speak with her supervisor. I was informed that there was no one to speak to. ( red flag-three ) She asked me several times if I wanted to cancel the reservation, by saying " XXXX or XXXX! '' I answered by saying " Yes I want to cancel the reservation that I did not authorize. '' I filed a complaint a couple of days later with Wells Fargo and this has been going back and forth for several months now. I recently received a communication from Wells Fargo Bank stating " After further review of your dispute claim for the XXXX charge on XX/XX/2023, from XXXX, we confirm that it was handled appropriately '' WHAT? This is clearly a " bait and switch '' tactic, unscrupulous, illegal and fraudulent in my opinion. I am disgusted by the actions taken by this institution!
