Consumer Complaint: Wells Fargo transferred from one account to another which was not authorized by me and advised me of this by letter on XXXX and has made NO effort to reimburse me of the lost monies because of this. This transfer was NOT authorized by me thus allowing a scammer to make me think that one of the bank employees was scamming my account and he would make every effort to retrieve the monies for me. When discovered by me, I reported this to their fraud dept. who stated in their letter dated XX/XX/22 that the case was closed because " we couldn't reverse the online transfers, either because there wasn't enough funds in the account or the account has been closed ''. Your claim is now closed ''. Yes the accounts in question were closed by me when I realized other unauthorized persons had access to my four ( 4 ) accounts. A wire transfer to XXXX XXXX was Not authorized by me " as the money will not be returned from the receiving receiving bank ''. A police report was also made to the XXXX Police Dept. The bank did not investigate this issue other than to tell me they could not get any of the {$87000.00} I lost.

Issue: Trouble during payment process
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: I am contacting your office to report an ongoing Mortgage Scam presently being perpetrated by Wells Fargo Bank , N.A . ( XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX CA XXXX ) Corporation. In essence Wells Fargo ( WF ), has repeatedly taken my normal and accurately documented monthly payment, then diverted required payment away from my principal, paying only interest ( directly ignoring my specific written instructions to the contrary ). To further scam funds from me, WF then added additional unsubstantiated late fees to my normal monthly payment. Please note that I regularly pay this mortgage ( HELOC Account # XXXX ), in person at a local WF branch ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX WA XXXX ), before the require deadline each month. My accurate documented payments have always been verified in-person at this local WF branch. This local branch is also aware that this fraudulent scam by the Corporate Office in XXXX XXXX has no relationship to their branch. The most recent scam attempt that I was able to catch occurred with my XX/XX/XXXX payment that I paid ahead of time ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I specifically documented that this payment be processed as a normal payment with correct amounts going consistently to the documented principal and interest portions. Again I personally witnessed my local branch teller doing exactly as required. Regretfully and Fraudulently, WF Corporation actively choose to not to follow this required payment process. Since the XX/XX/XXXX date to the present, WF Corporate has refused to take my normal monthly payment to pay the proper principal, instead paying only the interest and adding additional late fees as well. As mentioned, WF Corporation has no documentation that I gave them any instructions to process my payment otherwise. Furthermore they did so in violation of my Loan contract with them, as I am sure they have done with many others. Please keep in mind that this is the THIRD time that WF has attempted this Fraudulent Scam on me and I am sure that they are currently doing it to other residential loan holders as well. The two documented previous times they tried this scam on me was in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. When I caught their scam in these past cases, WF Corporate promised not to do this again, but then went behind my back and did it again. Each time, they sent no correspondence stating that there were about to do as such. Obviously this is no co-incidence, has repeatedly happened, and shows a clear pattern in their continued fraudulent attempts. As mentioned. not only does this violate my legal contract with them, but WF Corporate also reported me owing these late fees to the various credit bureaus, significantly damaging my credit score! On XX/XX/XXXX, I phoned ( XXXX ), WF, asked to file a complaint with an executive loan officer but was only able to speak with a person named XXXX XXXX. He gave me a case # XXXX and told me that I would expect resolution with 10 working days. It has been well over a month and I have never heard back. Besides bringing this repeated WF fraudulent scam to your attention, I request that this contract violation cease, my payments be correctly accounted for with no additional bogus fees, that my credit reporting be corrected and should there be any class action lawsuit that you are aware of involving this WF behavior, please forward that information to me as well. This nightmare has to end once and for all.

Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Lender trying to repossess or disable the vehicle
Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 My wife took our car to the store to pick up prenatal vitamins before work, and after she walked out of the store, walked into work. She felt nauseas, and not quite right and she walked out to go drive to the doctors office but the car we have was suddenly GONE. She panicked and called me, I showed up to see no evidence of theft.. confused we called the police, they had no evidence or reports of tow / repossession so we filed the report and I called my insurance company to report the stolen car. So after all of that my fianc just wanted to go home, around XXXX we got a call from the police that the company didn't report the repossession then but reported it now and i would need to call my provider. Now further confused i knew i had paid a lump sum payment for about 9 months of payments, no one called me or emailed to tell me anything was behind or a mistake had been made or anything. And I had to call Wells Fargo in the end of may regarding my account being withdrawn but I had not used it recently and my auto payment withdrew more than it was supposed to.. NO MENTION AT ALL about my car loan being behind.. So I was instructed i'd get a call regarding my account soon and here we are mid XXXX, car reposessed. I spoke with wells fargo that friday and they said unless i paid repo fees i would not get any info of where the car is being held, But i need to get my personal belonging out of the vehicle, sorry unless you pay those fees i can not provide any details??... so i was refused to allow me to get my important stuff out of the vehicle.. what the XXXX is that even legal? Now on monday the XXXX i got a call from some lady who basically was XXXX me about how she would look into everything regarding my concerns, ( how did you know where the vehicle would be 30 mins away from my house at target, i suspected they used my gps which is illegal, why can i not get my stuff out of the vehicle, why would you reposess my vehicle when i paid 9 months in advance and some of the monthly payments as well, why was i never notified at ALL my payments were behind??.. ) she called me back today to tell me due to their policy they no longer support and payments beyond three months, they apply it directly to principle, Okay why was i NOT notified I would have asked for it back.. so how about you return it and apply it now? sorry we can not do that once it was submitted.. so I told her ma'am I didn't request a principle payment I think you need to return all that money back to me and apply it now so I can have our vehicle back.. NOPE! I owe them more than I did before.. " get out of here you scamming horrible people. '' So after I told XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX So no car, XXXX XXXXXXXX, I owe them more than i would have originally, and im just told sorry about your luck, pay or we sell the vehicle. How is this legal?? where is the justice in doing this to your customers? I used wells fargo all of my life.. and this is how i'm repaid. How offensive can a company really be.. i've heard horror stories but sheesh. This is just WRONG Oh and i cant access my account anymore due to them completely blocking me from being able too access anything for my own records, cant access my agreement, cant access my loan, cant even access my BANK account..

Consumer Complaint: I posted a job listing on XXXX offering my services as a XXXX XXXX. Shortly after, I received a message from someone claiming to represent XXXX XXXX named " XXXX XXXX. '' Because there was this message on the XXXX XXXX, the message made me think it was a legit partner from them : XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) is a XXXX Business client Business clients are great for offering ongoing work and big projects. Give fast, quality service to win their next project. XXXX offered me a remote position with a promising payment rate, and I eagerly agreed to a XXXX interview. During the interview, everything seemed professional and legitimate, and I provided my identification documents without hesitation. On the designated workday, XXXX informed me that the company was in the process of obtaining the necessary equipment, but they sent me a check and asked me to send money to a vendor for the equipment. This process was repeated multiple times with different checks, and I deposited the checks and sent the requested funds as instructed. However, I later discovered that it was a scam when my bank notified me of a returned check and I realized the real XXXX XXXX had warned against such scams on her XXXX profile. My primary grievance revolves around the lack of urgency and willingness to resolve the issue promptly by the two financial institutions involved. Firstly, I am deeply concerned about Wells Fargo 's decision to honor three counterfeit checks on separate occasions, totaling {$14000.00}. When I contacted Wells Fargo to report the fraudulent activity, I was met with a disengaged fraud department agent who remained unresponsive throughout my explanation of the situation. Despite the fact that a larger check of {$5800.00} had yet to be cashed and could have been prevented and returned, the agent simply stated that there was nothing he could do. Similarly, my experience with XXXX XXXX was disheartening. I reached out to the specific XXXX agency used by the scammer and spoke directly to a representative at their branch. However, she provided no assistance and claimed that the manager was too busy to speak with me. She took my information to have the manager call me back, but I never received a call. Additionally, the representative provided me with a 1-888 number to complain, but it was exclusively for XXXX account holders, and as a non-account holder, I was unable to utilize it. Both financial institutions allowed these fraudulent activities to occur without intervening or displaying any willingness to assist.

Issue: Applying for a mortgage or refinancing an existing mortgage
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: In XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX gave me a loan for my mortgage. In XXXX XXXX XXXX also sold my loan to Wells Fargo and it's been with Wells Fargo since XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from an attorney representing XXXX XXXX, saying that Wells Fargo had demanded XXXX XXXX buy back the loan at the current balance. XXXX XXXX, therefore demanded that I pay the remaining balance in full which is currently XXXX and that I pay it in full in XXXX days of the notice. Or my house would be foreclosed upon and sold. I reached out to the attorney for XXXX XXXX for further explanation on three occasions but received no responses. I reached out to Wells Fargo, and the first time their representative investigated my account, they confirmed my loan was current, no late payments had ever been made. They told me to ignore it. A loan that is current, can not be foreclosed on. Even though XXXX XXXX had threatened it. After not hearing from XXXX XXXX attorney, I reached out to Wells again a second time. This time, they issued a case number and told me that someone would investigate it further, because nobody had ever heard of a bank selling back a loan that is current back to the original lender after XXXX years. After not hearing from the attorney, I went on to XXXX XXXX website and contacted several email addresses, until I got a response from somebody. They told me that XXXX XXXX messed up by not reporting something correctly and to fix it they needed to run a credit report. I asked them not to. They said OK they would not, that they would use the old credit report used when I obtained loan. But a day later, I received several notices, that my social was run for inquiry, and have been getting calls non-stop. XXXX XXXX said that it was an error, and they didnt mean to run report but the damage was done. After also hearing back from Well, they advised that they actually had notified XXXX XXXX, that they were supposed to buy back my loan on XXXX. But no explanation as to why I was not notified first to try and save my house. Their only concern was that I continue to make payments until they sell the mortgage. So, to start off, not sure if I found out by mistake early. It almost seems like I intentionally was kept in the dark so I would not have time to be able to save my house. Second if I am current with my mortgage, can a bank really foreclose on my home.
