Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, there were two charges made on my credit card via XXXX XXXX that I did not make or authorize. I was traveling to XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX where I live, which is where the charges were made. I received an automated text message from Wells Fargo on XX/XX/XXXX with whom I bank and have my credit card through alerting me to possible fraud. I acknowledged the text message with a " Y '' and called Wells Fargo on XX/XX/XXXX when I saw that the two charges were on my credit card statement and noticed that I no longer had my credit card and that it had been compromised. On XX/XX/XXXX Wells Fargo canceled my credit card, credited the balance to my account, and sent me a new credit card. In XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed that the fraud charges were placed back on my account. I called Wells Fargo and they told me that they found the charges to be valid because I authorized the charges when I responded to their automated text on XX/XX/XXXX with a " Y ''. I explained to them that I did not realize I was authorizing any charges, and that I was acknowledging their message. I asked to have the claim reopened and that I could submit documentation showing that the credit card used to make those charges was never associated or linked to an XXXX XXXX account. I submitted the documentation via mail after multiple failed attempts from my local Wells Fargo branch to fax the documentation with the fax numbers provided. Wells Fargo again denied my claim despite me showing that I did not have an XXXX XXXX account. They were never able to identify or get in touch with the two merchants to whom the charges were made. The two charges were : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX CA for {$450.00} and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX CA for {$85.00}. Wells Fargo told me that because I have other charges from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX CA that I must have known the first merchant. I explained to them that XXXX XXXX is a local coffee shop here in XXXX XXXX XXXX, and that they do not have a location outside of XXXX XXXX XXXX and that it is not the same as the merchant that {$450.00} went to. I have asked Wells Fargo to reopen the case three times and each time they denied it for the same reason. I am not responsible for both of the charges that I did not make despite me never having had an XXXX XXXX account linked to the compromised card, AND my card not being in my possession at the time. Consumer Complaint: During XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2023 I was on a retreat with my girlfriend and camping outside of XXXX XXXX Tx XXXX I left all of my personal belongings in my truck parked outside of my apartment building. When I returned, I was missing my phone and my wallet unfortunately. As I got a new phone, I was alerted that there had been tons of alerts from Wells Fargo, my bank. Emails and text messages regarding suspicious activity I had missed through the days. When I got into my online banking I was prompted to change my login information. I then saw that over {$4500.00} worth of charges had been made from the XXXX, Texas area to Colorado. Some of them including XXXX, which is illegal in Texas. I filed my claim the same night I returned home and waited to hear back. This morning on XX/XX/2023 I was informed that it was denied. They claim that the patterns are not consistent with what they are looking for. They are also claiming that the headquarters of the merchants XXXX be reported on the transactions and that the transactions were made in Texas. They also claim that since my PIN was used there is no chance it was anyone but me. Half of the transactions were made using my XXXX XXXX and online banking however. I just started a new job and lost my a majority of my {$5000.00} signing bonus. I was going to have a police report and they said I never provided it, but they said someone would reach out and ask for it. That request was never made from me and I didn't have a chance to even submit it. Per the process I will file it and provide it to anyone neccessary. I am asking for help as they are denying my chance to appeal the claim. The person I spoke with last told me to dispute it with fanduel and others, but I don't have any kind of information on these merchants or accounts created using my banking information.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX checking account was hacked into on XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, at approximately, XXXXXXXX XXXX. The XXXX did a wire transfer to XXXX without my authorization. I was able to detect it fast as I was online in the process of doing a XXXX transfer. I had previous done XXXX XXXX successfully but on this occasion I forgot to tick the box to continue. It took me forty-minutes to figure out that I had forget to remember to to tick the box to say its not a scam to proceed and click continue. I hardly ever send by XXXX but do receive XXXX from my clients. Seem I wasnt successful with sending XXXX so I logged out of my account and back in within in 5 minutes I noticed {$8.00}, XXXX was taken out of my account. It happened with the 5 plus minutes I had logged out and back in. As a result I called Wells Fargo immediately. I noticed the scammed wire Transfer was pending so asked in panic while on the phone to a representative to stop the unauthorized transfer as it perhaps wasnt complete if it was pending. I did not authorize this transaction. I was directed 5 times to finally a representative to plead my case and stop further unauthorized fraud that could take place. Finally they registered my fraud claim. I asked to credit to my account but presently it has not happened as I needed money to pay bills. During my own investigation I noticed the Hacker created the name, XXXX XXXX as a new XXXX recipient with an email address of XXXX. But he did not do a XXXX transaction. I do not know this person at all. The wire transfer went to a XXXX in XXXX. Looking at the wire transfer - that he filled out pretending to me, he first had to fill all fields in including his own bank details which his account ended in XXXX. When asked in the field what the money was for- he said it was for Travel expenses. One must understand, I had no intensions of going to XXXX, I do not have or never had any flight booking or hotels paid for. Doesnt make sense to send money to someone to pay for my flight hotels and expenses etc, I can do that myself which is obvious. If i had it made booking it would have shown up in my Wells Fargo account. Its also worth mentioning that in the past wire transfers I did to XXXX which were many going back yrs- were successful and had no issues. The bank charged me a wire transfer fees to XXXX for goods and services. With the scammed wire transfer - no fee by the bank was charged which is weird as banks always charge a wire transfer fee. I also never received or had seen a text message on my phone to to authorize and or reject such transaction. If i had, i would have immediately rejected it as fraud. I herby state that the above information is correct to my recollection and ability. I did not authorize this transaction. I do not know anyone in XXXX. Nor am to receive any goods or services from such a person. My account was hacked into and I cant tell you how as I do not have the comprehension the DNA to know how it is achieved. As a result i would like Well Fargo Bank to reinstate the full amount of {$8500.00} asap so that I can continue to pay bills and have peace of mind.

Consumer Complaint: I did a Dispute claim for Services I didnt receive. I sent my money in XXXX XXXX Ive been trying to reach this company since XX/XX/2023 and no more response. Im thinking it Fraud. I contacted the Bank. I received a claim number XXXX,, XXXX from My Checking Account. The amount was {$750.00} and {$250.00}. They closed both claims and only reversed {$250.00}. I have proof by email Ive been reaching out for my refund by the company. The Bank never ask for no additional information. Why I never received the {$750.00} reversed to my bank account but I have {$250.00}. Im not understanding.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email from Wells Fargo confirming I had requested a new card with my account number sent to an address in New Jersey. I made no such request. I called Wells Fargo at XXXX XXXX, phone number XXXX. The call lasted XXXX minutes. I confirmed I did not make that request. The customer service person went over 2 charges with me that were fraudulent. And assured me that it would be handled. 3 days later I checked my balance and one of the charges was still on my account. I then filed a dispute on the charge for {$430.00}. The other charge was over {$500.00}. Since then, I have spent over XXXX hours and XXXX phone calls with Wells Fargo. It has been 13 business days since my original call. Wells Fargo commitment is XXXX business days to have a fraud resolved. Wells Fargo just sent an email to me and said it would be 7 more business days to review my complaint. This is unacceptable for a fraudulent claim. Many years ago my XXXX XXXX number was compromised. XXXX handled the problem with 1 telephone call.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 at XXXX I contacted Wells Fargo regarding a transaction with a person that Ive been having issues with. So I explained to the representative that I placed a down payment on a car for {$3000.00} on XX/XX/XXXX and a few days later I contacted the person letting them know no longer needed the vehicle and Id like my money refunded as they had stated in a previous message that the deposit was fully refundable. I told the representative that I had no problems sending in the text message between me and the person that stole my money, she said it isnt needed because the calls are recorded. The dispute was filed XX/XX/2023. I call the next day XX/XX/2023 at XXXX to speak with a representative in their claims department they claim that my provisional credit would be posted XX/XX/2023 by a certain time. XX/XX/2023 at XXXX I call their claims department again and they tell me that the representative shouldnt have told me that I would be receiving a credit and they dont cover these kind of transactions and they read me something from a very obvious script because I called 3 times and they all said the same thing. Also how are they able to investigate within 1 day when Ive had this issue occur with another transaction for {$400.00} and they refunded me my money after 10 days into the investigation, so at this point they simply dont want to credit me my money back or even investigate because of the amount, and cashapp is telling me I need to contact my bank to get my money back but they arent willing to help me get my money back at all they are denying me.

Consumer Complaint: I had an overdraft account at Wells Fargo that I did not open. I contacted the local branch and explained that I had not opened an account but the lady literally scoffed and made me feel stupid bc she said that would be highly unlikely to happen unless I had given someone my credentials and documents to open the fake account. I was so embarrassed ask insulted because I did not do that. so it was sent to collection agency and threatened to put me in jail for the charges not to mention the charges at the stores where checks were written. I had to pay those if I ever wanted to shoo there again. but I honestly never did open up an account at Wells Fargo noone ever believed me and I happened to see the info about wells Fargo and their shady practices and it made me think about what happened to me

Consumer Complaint: It's started in the same bank few years ago in 2018, someone drinking coffee few time per day from my card, then I catch them when they used my card in XXXX, I didn't been there for few weeks.Some bankers blame me, they didn't believe me it's not me, the women who used my card looks like me.I have photo of her also. Then I send them my project they didn't answer. I closed my account, then few months ago I opened account again in the same bank with some cashier 's check on my name XXXX XXXX they tell me check will be available tomorrow, but ... someone withdraw the check next day, until I even did anything.Then multiple excuses from the bank, and they didn't give me check back.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX. XXXX I was buying a flight ticket from XXXX to XXXX from XXXX for {$690.00}. When I attempted to do the payment their website gave an error stating the sale is not successful. I dont have a proof for this but then I received an email in XXXX language clearly stating that the sale was failed. The email literally says Please note : Your XXXX - XXXX ticket has not been sold!. Then I proceeded to buy another ticket from another merchant for {$820.00}. Next day I realized XXXX charged my credit card for a failed transaction. I opened a dispute immediately with Wells Fargo. Today I learned that my dispute was denied. I contacted the bank and theyre saying that the merchant is right. And saying that I was contacted by the merchant to not buy another ticket which is not true at all. After I realized my credit card was charged I contacted the merchant to get my money back and they did not cooperate. Bank says I accepted their terms and conditions which I did but the email I received from the merchant clearly states that the sale was failed and I was deceived into thinking that I didnt get the ticket but they still charged my credit card for a service that I did not receive.

Consumer Complaint: I deposited Cashier check of {$16000.00} deposited into Wells Fargo branch in XXXX on XX/XX/2023 at XXXX XXXX, and was provided with a receipt saying {$400.00} is available immediately, the balance available the next day. However, the next day, XX/XX/2023, when I signed on to my account to buy T-Bill, I received a message saying my cashier check fund is held until XX/XX/2023. Why would cashier 's check ( CASH ) be held like this? I called many different departments from Wells Fargo and I kept getting the run around. The stories kept changing, as well. I am losing interest I could be earning while my money is held up by Wells Fargo. Furthermore, when I asked for my cashier 's check so I can deposit elsewhere if Wells Fargo would not make it available, Wells Fargo refused to give it back to me. In other words, Wells Fargo just took my cash and basically laughed in my face saying there's nothing I can do. This is just unacceptable.
