Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX, I was a Wells Fargo customer for many years. In 2021, around Covid, I was receiving what I thought to be incorrect atm withdrawal overdrafts. I was not using atm 's at the time. Wells Fargo put a hold on my account, froze my credit and made it impossible for me to even open another account. A few weeks ago, I got a letter from them saying that I was right and the overdrafts were their fault and they wanted to make it right by issuing my a check for {$100.00}. I refused this amount because I am unsure if the amount is correct since I no longer have access to my account. Furthermore, my credit has been ruined for the last two years, causing me to be unable to sign a lease, get a bank account, has hindered me from getting a better job, ect. I am a XXXX XXXX living out of a motel room at the moment and I work at a XXXX XXXX XXXX. Employers look at credit reports, and mine still says I am negative to a major bank. I told Wells Fargo that I deserved compensation for the trials I have endured to which they replied, no. They have already admitted guilt of theft on a federal level because they are FDIC funded. A simple apology and giving a moderate check in an obscure amount is not enough... .my life is still in turmoil because of this ... .please help me bring them to justice.

Consumer Complaint: So, roughly,about XX/XX/XXXX,I recieved a settlement check, which was a wells fargo check. Said, "payable by Wells Fargo". So,I head to a wells Fargo near my home. As I pass the check to the teller, shes says give me one moment, takes it to her supervisor. I believe this was because of the size of the check. Which was XX/XX/XXXX. Upon coming back,she tells me, she can do XX/XX/XXXX cash, and the rest in a money order. I said,I would rather cash the entire check,instead of having to deal with another location to get the full amount. She goes back to the supervisor, supervisor come over,says deposit only. You dont have an account,so we cant help you. I said that seems strange. She was just about to help me until you came over. Ill go to another location. So I do. Next location,branch manager says, its deposit only, unless the check information is in the system. So, ill take the check information down, put it into the system and call you tomorrow. Ok. I go home. After business days,im not hearing from wells fargo, so I attempt to contact them. No success. After a week, I take the check to a third wells fargo. Branch manager tells me, this is more money then we would give to one cutomer, so we have to call the money truck, and it will be here next week. Ok. A week later I show up, she says money truck will be here tomorrow, however, if you had a wells fargo acct, you could deposit the check, and the funds would be available the next day. I said ok, lets open an acct. She said all my agents are busy until next week..... Right... So,how about I step outside,make an acct online, and comeback inside, she said that would work. Well,low and behold, they cant verify me in their system, and I have to see an agent in person. So I schedule a same day appt at another location. The app says congratulations, your appt is for tomorrow... Right.... So the next day I show up for my appt. The agent is great. were getting along, telling stories, having a good ole time. Now, comes time to deposit the check. At which time im told, some funds would be available immediately, so I said fantastic, ill take XX/XX/XXXX now, and deposit the other XX/XX/XXXX. In comes branch manager, inserting himself into the scenario. Comes up, does some quick typing on the computer, and tells me the check is deposit only. I said, right, we established that, but I was just told some funds would be immediately available. Which is important as I have already been waiting weeks to get this cashed. He says, Nope. No funds will be available. Checks deposit only. "so what you wanna do?' I said, well, if all we can do is deposit the check, then deposit the check. At this point he pushes thecheck back at me. So I said, whats up man? I thouhght we were depositing my deposit only check? and I push the check back his way. At this point he says, "nah, were not going to be depositing this check for you. Thank you, have a good day. I said wow. So, ok then. After doing everything wells fargo has adviced me to do, they still refuse to cash this check. I have waited for them to input the check into the system, and no response, I have waited for the money truck, which didnt show up on time, I made an acct, and was refused the option to deposit the check. So I was left with no choice but to pay 8% to a company who would cash it. However, it doesnt stop there. im sent an email the next day, with a survey, asking me about my experience. Supposed to be confidential. SO I say my experience wasnt actually bad,however, I would have went with a different branch manager if I was in charge. Well, the next day,my phone is ringing like crazy from wells fargo. Im thinking its the agent reminding me I have to make a deposit. So I ignore it, until about the tenth call, when I do answer, its the branch manager. Says, " so I saw your survey, and whats up man? Do we got a problem?" Im like,are you for reals calling me up, trying to sweat me about my survey answers? and he says,bottomline, you better not come around here anymore. Dont step into my wells fargo again. I was floored. I was like, dude, you cant punk me out like this is the streets and were rival XX/XX/XXXXbro. So, I contact a different branch manager, who is floored. SHe says, i will escalate your situation, because he is not to be doing that. So,ok, I get an email, saying they will respond within 15 days. Day 14, I get a call, from corporate security im told. Says, this is wells fargo, and we no longer want your business. I said wow, why is that? He said, you came into a branch, and were being beligerent. I said wow, when did that happen? he said, you went into multiple locations, I said wow, really? what locations did I go to? At which point he couldnt answer. Then he said, I will send you a letter. I said fantastic. I kid you not,not even 5 minutes later, I get a call from corporate escalations, and she says, I would like to apologize for the experience you have been having wth wells fargo. I said, hmmmm. Thats strange, because thats the complete opposite of what your corporate security just said. She says hangon,let me research this. Comes back, and says,I have nothing in my system that would indicate anh of what you just told me. I said hmmm. This is ini regards to the branch manager contacting me regarding my survey right? she says no. I thought this was about a check....... So even the other branch managers, didnt file my complaint correctly. They tried to redirect what the issue was about, and create confusion. So I asked her, are the surveys confidential, she said yes, they are supposed to be. I asked her, how then would this branch manager, find out what my answers were? SHe said, he would have to go into your acct, and see that you had answered a survey, look iinto what your answers were.... and then, get your phone number and contact you.... I said wow. At this point she reassures me, that my acct is in good standing, and there is no action to shut my acct down. So I reach back out to corporate security, and ask him directly, Why are you calling me and threatening to shut my acct down, and all this? He says again, because you went into multiple locations being belligerent. I said ok, which locations? he said he didnt have an answer for that. So I asked him straight up, this is because of your buddy at XX/XX/XXXX isnt it? ( the location with the branch manager who called me) he said, I am mailing you a letter explaining. ok. Well,in the letter, it specifically says XX/XX/XXXX. So Ive got this guy, accessing my acct discriminating against me, refusing to deposit my check for unknown reasons, and telling lies to security to get my acct shut down. Even though escalations tells me im ok. so really, what am I supposed to do? Because 8% of XX/XX/XXXX is significant, but I did everything I could do to cash the check with them. At the cost of weeks worth of time. I dont know about everyone else, but I dont have the ability to go weeks without money, but I did. With ramiffications ill add. Because my insurance lapsed, so now certain companies wont even accept me, because I have had a lapse in 6 months. As well as a job, in which I was to get XX/XX/XXXX liability, XX/XX/XXXX aggregate. All because the refusal of wells fargo to cash this check. Also, how is wells fargo, legally allowed to let other dictate that a check is to be deposit only? If someone writes a check, is it not their job to cash the check? I understand there are multiple issues im addressing here, so sorry about that. But the entire experience, has been all bad. As well as actually cost me money, as well as other hardships.

Consumer Complaint: Having issues with wellsfargo. Our auto loan was refinanced through XXXX federal, we mailed the payment check to wellsfargo which was for a greater amount than the loan. XXXX XXXX paid {$57000.00} and the loan was under that. Wellsfargo split up the check and is still requesting money from XXXX after the account was closed and loan was paid off. They reopened the account and are saying we owe money and are sending us to collections. We spoke to them 6 times over the phone with no resolution.

I have disputed twice and they have reversed the credits and took it back from my account. The refused to give me on the unauthorized transaction. I had called the the second time said sorry my mistake we will credit that to you and the just took it on the XXXX of XXXX, 2023. Wells Fargo is the name of the institution. I have never filed a dispute with them and they dont believe me on this charge. I feel helpless. Please help

Consumer Complaint: As I had previously written, I continue to review my mortgage and the eventual foreclosure. After Wells Fargo sent me back the check for the XX/XX/XXXX mortgage payment and refused to accept further payments, I began to search for an expert in the field of mortgage fraud, which turned out to be XXXX XXXX, owner of XXXX XXXX. XXXX is well known to Wells Fargo. Please see the attached credentials. Soon after receiving her Mortgage Serving Analysis Report, I could not review the report at that time due to personal issues. Since my situation has now stabilized, I have completed the review of the report. For the very first time in Wells Fargos recent letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, they indicated that my payment problem which resulted in foreclosure was between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. They wrote as follows The account was referred to foreclosure on XX/XX/XXXX, at which time you were due for XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX payments. Attached is a copy of the report showing the dates I supposedly had a payment problem. As you can see, there was no payment problem, as my payments were current and were the correct amount. Wells Fargo posted my payments. You can see the dates on the report as well. Accordingly, there should not have been a foreclosure. This appears to be a deliberate mistake. When I discovered there was a consent order created for the purpose of settling errors and mistakes, I knew that what they did to me and my family was more than just a simple mistake. Since there is a pending consent order, Wells Fargo needs to make me whole and has to compensate me for the severe damage to me and my children within the context of the consent order.
