Issue: Improper use of your report
Subissue: Received unsolicited financial product or insurance offers after opting out
Consumer Complaint: All three major credit bureaus XXXX, Trans Union and XXXX solicit paying for account services including credit monitoring or offer unsolicited products including checking accounts and credit cards that promote fixing my credit. Is this not an obvious conflict of interest? How can a supposedly unbiased 3rd party that controls if I'm able to buy a car, buy a house or even feed my family solicit me for services to pay them to fix my credit that they report on and that all credit providers use to judge my credit worthiness?

Consumer Complaint: Heres a letter Ive used in the past : Subject : Complaint against Trainsunion Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I am writing this formal complaint against TransUnion in hopes of seeking resolution regarding the reporting of negative claims on my consumer credit profile. I believe that certain claims have been inadequately or un-demonstratedly asserted, and I am deeply concerned about the accuracy and integrity of their reporting practices. My primary complaints are as follows : 1. Failure to Ensure Accurate Reporting : I firmly believe that TransUnion has not taken adequate measures to ensure that my consumer credit report profile is reported factually, ethically, and in compliance with federally-defined timeliness. The reporting should also be physically verifiable and validated, adhering to the mandatorily utilized Metro2 Data-filled Field Formatted Reporting Standards without any omissions or deviations. 2. Deviation from Established Reporting Standards : Based on my understanding of CDIA 's CRRG manual ( see CRRG 3-4 ), any deviation from the Metro2 standards jeopardizes the integrity of the data. I am concerned that Trains-union may not be adhering to these established standards, which raises questions about the credibility and reliability of the reported information. 3. Lack of Documented Proof : Despite my attempts to contest the reported information, TransUnion has not provided sufficient documented proof confirming the accuracy and compliance of the negative claims asserted against me. As a consumer, I have the right to demand evidence of reporting appropriateness and adherence to regulatory requirements. I request that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau take appropriate action to address my concerns and ensure that TransUnion rectifies their reporting practices promptly. Specifically, I demand the following : - Immediate removal of any unproven or inadequately reported negative claims from their records and future reporting until they demonstrate provable adherence to reporting standards and regulatory mandates. - A comprehensive review of Trainsunion reporting practices to ensure that they comply with federally defined timeliness, accuracy, and completeness standards. I trust that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will handle this matter promptly and diligently, safeguarding my rights as a consumer. I appreciate your attention to this complaint and look forward to a positive resolution that restores the accuracy and integrity of my credit history. Thank you for your assistance in addressing this important concern

Consumer Complaint: I was looking at my report and notice that were some things that was not correct. I sent a letter to Transunion on XX/XX/year> here is my tracking number XXXX. It has been more than 30 days since the credit bureaus have not responded. That is a violation 15 USC 1681i ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ). According to 15USC 1681e ( b ) it states this ( b ) accuracy of report. Whenever a consumer reporting agency prepares a consumer report it shall follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information concerning the individual about whom the report relates. So then I ask them to provide a description of the investigation according to 15 USC 1681 i ( 7 ) ; ( 7 ) description of reinvestigation procedure. A consumer reporting agency shall provide a description referred to as paragraph ( 6 ) ( B ) ( iii ) no later than 15 days after receiving a request from the consumer regarding the description But they did not do that as well. According to 15 USC 1681s-2 it states that A. ) Reporting information with actual knowledge of errors. A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer. Any reporting information agency must have reasonable cause. B ) Reporting information after a notice and confirmation of errors. If the person has been notified by the consumers, that specific information is inaccurate. This is unfair and if they are doing this to me can you imagine who else they are doing this to? Can you fix

Consumer Complaint: I Ask them to verify and send over information regarding their verification. They just sent that the information was verified which I know it was not. It was an automated system that just sent out that they verified this false information. I have proof from the original creditor with all the original information and none of it matches whats on my credit report. I disputed the accounts stating that these accounts were incorrect and I gave them the option to either update this account on my credit file or remove them per the FCRA. They chose to verify incorrect information that does not match the original creditor information. I then informed them if you can not verify this information properly you must remove it. You can not just have an automated system shooting out that this information is verified and must stay on your report if you did not do a proper investigation. This is harming my credit score beyond comprehension and it is stopping me from getting fare rates for housing and transportation. I am a regular consumer and just would like companies to follow the law.

Consumer Complaint: I've noticed some accounts on my credit report that I don't recognize, and it seems like they might be due to identity theft because I never authorized them. I've raised this concern with you before, and I'm writing now to request that these accounts be removed from my report as soon as possible. Dealing with the stress of having these accounts on my report has been tough. They don't reflect my actual credit history or my financial responsibilities, and it's been challenging to cope with the impact.
