Consumer Complaint: Transunion credit bureau will not allow access to my credit report. I log in to my Transunion account. I then follow the prompts and instructions on the Transunion website to view my credit report. At this point a message appears that says they are not able to fulfill my request. This has happened numerous times over the last 2 years. When it first happened I contacted Transunion by telephone and was told by a representative that I must first send to Transunion, by mail, among other things, copies of my social security card, and drivers license. I responded that I would never send this type of sensitive information via mail. I was told that I must or Transunion would not be able to verify my identity. The information that I am able to view is largely incorrect. Transunion reports a credit history that dates back to only XX/XX/XXXX. I filed a dispute with Transunion and on XX/XX/XXXX received a reply that my dispute results are available. I logged in to my Transunion account. I am still denied access to my credit report and my original dispute was not resolved.
