Consumer Complaint: I have just looked at my credit report and found items that do not belong to me. I have called the creditors and found that they were opened in Florida. I have never lived in Florida. There is a Florida address being reported on my credit file but I never lived there. I have always lived in NJ and I am including my current license and a copy of a paycheck from 2019 when this XXXX account was supposedly opened showing I was employed and living in NJ during the time frame these accounts were opened. I have tried to disputed these accounts and gotten no help. I need your help to get these fraudulent accounts off of my report.

Consumer Complaint: Portfolios Recovery Associates, LLC are in Direct Violation of The Fair Credit Reporting Act, has violated several of my rights. Is reporting a debt that is not mind on my credit report with the amount of {$1100.00} that does not belong to me. I have been contacting them several times a year from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to get this removed from all three major credit bureaus. They still have not removed the information. 15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A. Clearly states that I have the right to privacy. 15 U.S.C 1681 Section 604 A Section 2 : It also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions.

Consumer Complaint: I have made attempts to communicate with the debt collectors but they can never answer my questions or concerns about the account. I'm already making payments and this is the second time they have attempted to sue me after setting up pay ment arrangements an currently making payments on time. The person who served court papers left documents on front porch. When attempting to contact them they would not answer questions just kept saying I was contacting wrong department. When they call to collectors call they would let it ring once an hang up.One account is 15 years old.the reason for default on account was due to COVID.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX, I received a knock at my door ; by Deputy of Civil court. He served me with a citation, from an attorney 's office ; claiming to be suing on behalf Portfolio Recovery Services LLC, who purchased the account from, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX This came as a shock, because I had not been notified prior. Nor was I sent any letters notifying me, or giving me an opportunity to make a payment arrangement of any sort. What's worse is, they are suing for the original amount of the item placed on the credit card. This should not be the case, as the item was {$1100.00} and the credit card limit given, was {$1000.00}. I created the account in XX/XX/XXXX. I ordered a sectional from XXXX XXXX XXXX, through XXXX XXXX XXXX. This was a XXXX term with no interest. I was given 12 months to purchase the sectional at sale price. I began making payments on the XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX account, once I received the sectional, XXXX month later. ( XX/XX/XXXX ). Minimum payments XXXX. I made payments consistently, for months. I will admit payments were a little late, but never more than 20 days late. In XX/XX/XXXX, I was XXXX with COVID.I contacted them for help with late payment fees. I was still making payments while sick. They refused. I was paying, but with high lates fees, it was if, I was paying anything at all. All of this, while not receiving income while sick. I reached out again, when released from hospital ( XX/XX/XXXX ), to ask for payment assistance. I received no help. I had made XXXX payments by this time. When trying to login to my account to make a payment, in XX/XX/XXXX ). I found that my account was officially closed on their website. I tried to get payment history, to rectify the balance. I received nothing in the mail. Fast forward to XX/XX/XXXX, they have sold the account to an attorney 's office, to sue. They provided the attorney with my last payment on the account. Just the XXXX payment, after I made XXXX months ' worth of payments and they are suing for the full amount of the sectional. I have submitted my response to the citation I was served on XXXX XXXX, requiring proof of debt, in my city 's civil court. I have not received proof of my debt from the attorney, since. However, I received yet another citation from the civil court, this afternoon, XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: The company portfolio recovery calls my cell phone multiple times a day. They send letters to my house. I stop answering the cell phone because there was a lady that said she was a lawyer, she was so rude and she called everybody that had my last name and who were married into my family. I was very embarrassed and didnt know what to do. Ive been going through this since 2015.

Consumer Complaint: In review of my credit files, I noticed that there was a " collection '' being reported to all three credit bureaus from Portfolio Recovery. I wrote to Portfolio Revcovery on XX/XX/2022 in regards to a " collection '' account that they placed on my credit file. ( See attached letter ) They, in response sent a letter dated XX/XX/2022 stating that they had completed their investigation and established that the account was " valid. '' They also sent a " Simple '' invoice as their " Proof '' of validity '' which does not provide me with the information originally requested. ( See Attached letter )

Consumer Complaint: Portfolio Recovery Services called me repeatedly and would not leave a message. When I finally answered the number that kept calling me while I was at work they told me they were trying to collect a debt on a XXXX XXXX XXXX that was repossessed in XXXX. I told them that it was settled a long time ago and later found out that it was past the statute to collect on anyway. It was written off and finalized several years ago. In fact when they called about it I had forgotten about it by this time. It was over 12 years ago when that happened.
