Consumer Complaint: This debt is fraudulent. It is due to identity theft. I have no information about this. I have contacted the collection agency located in XXXX, VA via certified letter, informing them that this debt is a result of identity theft. I have also contacted XXXX and XXXX regarding this fraudulent debt. All the information I have on this company was provided by the aforementioned credit reporting agencies. I have not pulled my credit report from XXXX yet. According to XXXX this debt was reported XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$3100.00}. It was written off/closed some time thereafter. I will absolutely not pay this debt. I did not open the account with the original creditor and I most certainly will not pay some collection agency in Virginia.

'' i really dont know what to do anymore ... these people keep calling me daily regarding a debt that is passed the statue of limitations to collect.. ITS EVERY DAY ... and sometimes 2x a day .. and they just called again today A SUNDAY. which im pretty sure they are not alowed to do? i picked up once a few months ago and told them to stop calling this number and they still call .. please help..

Consumer Complaint: I got a letter from a lawyer wanting to represent me in lawsuit that was filed against me by portfolio recovery inc. This was the first I have heard of this. I did find I was in the system as having been sued by them but nothing from Portfoilio recovery. Looking into it the are suing me based on when they bought this credit dept. I dont even remember this bank, synchronies bank. I have worked really hard the last 7 yrs to clear up my credit so I know this is way over the time limitation in Texas, which is 4 years. I found the lawsuit was filed XX/XX/23 and paid the court by the lawyer on XX/XX/23. Im to be served in person but as I said I have heard nothing from them by phone, letter or in person. They say I owe {$7700.00}.
