Then, several days later, when using the Tracking Number listed on this Paypal transaction, the delivery status is marked " Delivered ''. HOWEVER, the address that this package was sent to, was NOT my home address of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, WI XXXX. Which the postal manager at the local postal office confirmed with me, however due to confidentiality reasons ( as the manager said ), she could not inform of the actual address that this package was delivered to, only to say that it is a different address in the same zip code. Consumer Complaint: Yesterday, XXXX XXXX, I logged onto my bank account and noticed two withdraws from Pay Pal. One withdraw for {$20.00} and one for {$80.00}. I then logged into my Pay Pal account and saw there were two transfers to someone I didn't know. I immediately reported the unauthorized transfers to Pay Pal and changed my password to my Pay Pal account. Pay Pal supposedly investigated the unauthorized transfers, and yesterday they sent me an email stating, " We've completed our review of your unauthorized activity case, and we've determined there was no unauthorized use. Based on our review, we found this transaction is consistent with your PayPal payment history. '' This is absurd. Somehow PayPal determined that transferring two random amounts of money to someone I've never sent money to before ( and indeed don't even know ) on the same day is consistent with my previous transaction history?

I spoke to Venmo the following day and they stated that it was XXXX that caused this and that normally it would fall off with in 5 to 7 days. After 5 days I spoke to XXXX and they told me that they do not place holds that it is in fact my Credit Card company that does that. On XX/XX/XXXX I called Venmo and they said it was them in fact that did place the hold that it could take up to 30 days to release my funds because there system wouldn't let them override it ( email attached ). After stating that it depended on my card holder agreement. After several corespondents with Venmo with no resolution I wish to file this complaint. Further more I would like to know if Venmo as a company collects interest on money that is in there account. Meaning are they drawing any kind of interest or any other money from having this {$100.00}. If so as it being that it is my money I would like any interest or any money they have made off of my {$100.00} sent to me as this is only fair considering they did not earn this money in fact I feel they are stealing my money. Consumer Complaint: I have used PayPal to send money to friends and family and for the purchase of goods and services on many occasions. My checking account is directly linked to my paypal account and is the default source for funding for both purchases and transfers I make using PayPal. PayPal charges the recipient a fee if a transaction is designated as for the purchase of goods and services and there is no fee if the transaction is designated as sending money to friends or family. I had previously sent my daughter money designated as a friends and family transaction through paypal and no fee was paid. Paypal offers a quick link option for previously made transactions which are labeled as " Send Again '' When I used the " Send Again '' option to repeat sending money to my daughter designated as a friends and family transaction with no fee, the transaction was processed by paypal as a purchase of goods and services and a fee was paid to Paypal. Paypal 's practice of charging a fee to the recipient of a transaction instead of charging the sender the fee upfront is somewhat confusing. PayPal 's " Send Again '' option changing the designation of the previously made transaction from Friends and Family ( no fee ) to a transaction for the purchase of goods and services ( fee ) is deceptive.. When I questioned PayPal about the charge I was told sorry. I suggested that Paypal change the default settings so the " Send Again '' option repeats the previous transaction. I was told by Paypal they could not change the default.

Consumer Complaint: Over the few months I have been getting letters from PayPal about them sending me a MasterCard/debit card linked to my account. The letter requires me to go to their site and tell them I do not want the card. I do not not feel I should be required to continually opt out of an unsolicited credit card. What if the letter gets lost in the mail, and next thing you know I have a card I don't want? I've looked online and this seems to be common, where people suddenly get a card in the mail they didn't know anything about.
