Consumer Complaint: I've been having a problem with paypal getting my irs e.i.p on my paypal direct deposit as well as hundreds of others people that got there eip through paypal direct deposit. Irs payment tool said my eip payment was direct deposited into my account with paypal on XX/XX/2020 and its now XX/XX/2020 and still have no eip on my account or showing pending or anything. Ive tried to call paypal directly but no ones in there customer service phone number cause of corona virus. Ive tried several times to use there automated online service for customers with out no help the last message said someone would get in contact with me but no one ever did. So I went to paypal community page to try and figure out whats going on and thats where I found out there are hundreds of people having the same problem as me. There was a story of one man I believe from tennessee who went to his towns news channel to go public with his story and paypal went a head and helped him get his eip payment.So if they knew there was a problem why havent they fixed this problem cause its hundreds of people with same problem.People like me need that money to support our familys and keep a roof and food in there families stomaches.Ive also tried calling wells fargo who paypal goes through for direct deposit and was told its a middle man for paypal once they get deposits it goes straight to paypal and only paypal can access information for costomers regaurding there direct deposits.So theres nothing they can do to help us.It has to be paypal who can tell us whats going on with our deposits. As far as I can see this problem has been happening with people having deposit dates from irs portal from XXXX and XX/XX/2020 that ive seen on paypal community page of tjhere website.If irs sent and gave us a deposit date then why hasnt paypal deposited it into our accounts? If you can help in anyway id greatly appriciate it very much.

Consumer Complaint: At the middle of XXXX I XXXX looking for a product. The XXXX XXXX I found a sight that had it in stock but charged quite a bit for a bottle. I went to the check out and realized they wanted payment through PayPal which I prefer not to use. I opted to use my debit card from my checking account. I paid {$19.00} on XX/XX/2020 I never received a confirmation number nor any tracking number. The only thing I see is they took the funds out of my account but never shipped the product. I tried numerous times to contact PayPal but you cant speak to anyone due to covid 19 they are saying. I tried to put in a dispute and request a refund for a scam bu was unsuccessful in that as well. The only information I have is this information that is showing on my bank account. PayPal XXXX XXXX CA XXXX XXXX. XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I was talking with a scammer on XXXX that supposed to unlock XXXX. My wife XXXX was mainly talking with him and captured the messages from where he leads us to pay for the service. We tried to pay as service on XXXX but it didn't go through so we ended up using venmo thinking that they will help us when things go wrong. Please see our supporting document that clearly shows that this scammer acted as someone who knows what he is doing and asked us to pay for {$150.00}. He specifically told us to wait a day ( now we know why since this way the payment goes through ). XXXX the scammer goes by on XXXX now deactivated his account after got what he wanted ... XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ). We documented as well. Currently Venmo is investigating but not going anywhere ... so we decided to open the complaint here. Please bring justice to this scammer who is probably hurting others as well.

Issue: Problem with customer service

Consumer Complaint: I used PayPal to get my stimulus check deposited and followed the steps to get it all done and was scheduled for a deposit on XX/XX/XXXX and contacted customer service about it and they kept telling me the same generic resposes even when giving them a trace id they still continued to give me the same response. I called the irs and told me they rejected the deposit and will mail a check but to see if they released the funds back so we could issue a check but no help. They continued to say the 3 to 5 bussines days and we can't help. I even called the customer service at PayPal and they are closed. I am so sick from all this and trying to come up with rent and bills I'm wishing I just used XXXX XXXX or XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: We intended to visit XXXX and the company used the Paypal portal to charge our stay. we cancelled it and he refunded our credit through Paypal.We received notice from Paypal that that the refund was received and was in process. On XX/XX/XXXX, we received notice from Paypal the refund had cleared and they had our money. i checked my credit card and there wasnt a credit for the sum - XXXX Euros. so i tried calling Paypal and went thru all the prompts and was finally told, via recorded message, calls would not be taken because of the virus and callers should the message center. texted the message center and waited 8 hours, with automated messages the an agent would would be with me in one minute, then 5, then an hour and then 3 hours. Now the site is down. no one from paypal ever responded. i dont know where my money is. paypal is still in business taking peoples money, but i cant get my money. And they are shut down.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020, Paypal restricted my account and prevented funds from being transferred to another person to purchase an item. Initially Paypal indicated this was a random action and it only applied to the individual transaction. Then a day later I received an additional email stating that it applies to the entire account and conducting any other transaction could result in account closure. The account is in good standing. Based on the changing restrictions on the account, it appeared as if something was done illegally. I filled out the request to unlock my account. On XX/XX/2020, I reached out to customer support to see why it was restricted. I chatted with " XXXX '' who initially ignored my request for information. A second attempt to get the representative to READ was not met with success either. I asked what federal regulation was allegedly violated or paypal policy. At this point XXXX replied it was to keep me and paypal safe. Now I have received three different answers for why the account is restricted. I then requested an email copy of the chat transcript. I was told that ending the chat would give an option to email it. That was false.

Consumer Complaint: Good afternoon, on XX/XX/XXXX make a purchase in paypal Transaction ID XXXX of XXXX to a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX they did not send the product due to a problem and paypal On XX/XX/XXXX the refund was made from {$2700.00} to MasterCard XXXX. This money never came, since the XXXX account was closed since XX/XX/XXXX, I had to put claims in the bank and paypal, the truth is that I never got that money, paypal is responsible for seeing where is that money and return that money to my paypal account They only give a false reference number, that XXXX does not know anything, paypal must demonstrate with a document that the money is in my account, a document where the provider says that this money is in X place, do not send a simple false reference, that nobody knows anything, this is a real scam more than 5 months waiting for the money They must be able to check that the money never came to me, work on searching, do not copy and paste data that has no validity. A document of the bank account is attached, where it clearly says, the account is closed from XXXX, as a return will arrive on XXXX, it is impossible, because you are not looking for my money, you are going to having to pay expenses and damages plus interest for being incompetent

Consumer Complaint: PayPal advertised that using their direct deposit service would be " quick and easy ''. The IRS said my money would be deposited on XX/XX/XXXX. Well it wasn't there. After endless hours trying to find any kind of help, assistance or information for the lack of funds. Finally I found in there's help page that we were going to have to wait 3-5 business days to see our funds in our account. Im still waiting. There's a ton of us still waiting. PayPal is obviously profiting off this, while some of us are starving and stressed over our situation and circumstances. Shame on you PayPal. Their effort toward " helping everyone '' is not charging the check cashing fee. Well last I heard, direct deposit isn't a check..
