Consumer Complaint: Paid off a loan with Ocwen in the amount of {$110000.00} by wire on XXXX XXXX, 2015. Since that time they have sent XXXX new payoff quotes, each time increasing the amount due. They have assessed a property maintenance expense in the amount of {$1200.00}, {$1000.00} of which accrued in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX after the closing. I was at that property every day and no representative from Ocwen ever showed up there. I spent a fortune preparing that property for sale. There was no maintenance. I was in possession of the property. Ocwen has deliberately and wilfully suspended this payment refusing to properly apply it to the loan and clear the amount all the while accruing interest and charging a fraudulent fee of {$1200.00}. Consumer Complaint: When the housing market took a dive my family and I was affected. We were told to contact the State 's Attorney 's office which in my state of Illinois is XXXX XXXX. We submitted documentation of what happen and to no avail which now is years passing nothing has happen. I kept all original documentation also, email them and no-one has responded. The problem is when things are on your credit you ca n't get any assistance. The lending company we were with was Option One a predatory lender of XXXX XXXX who to this date is still in business. Also, in the state of Illinois I thought a house could n't be sold if there were liens against it. Well that property was sold and now the XXXX mrtg or whatever was taken out against it has been transferred to someone else called XXXX XXXX and it is on the credit and is ruining everything. I have in my possession letters written to modify the mortgage also, there was an offer and it was denied which forced a foreclosure to the home. It 's very hard to move forward with your credit in a disarray. Any help or direction you can provide for my family will greatly be appreciated.

Consumer Complaint: I am a XXXX year veteran of XXXX XXXX. Can short sale banks be held responsible for pushing around buyers of short sale homes. My XXXX time buyers have diligently responded to Short Sale Bank for the last 7 months. After receiving the go ahead approval letter with my buyers spending money on inspections, appraisal, etc., Short Sale Bank wants their appraisal doc. to see if the value has gone up for the last 7 months while they ( bank ) negotiated the short sale. They have once again postponed settlement while they reevaluate the price. How can a bank, no one else, open sale price up after committing to a written contract price while they took their time completing the approval process. XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: The terms of the loan modification that Ocwen Loan Servicing had done for us was really terrible and unjust. As you will in the mortgage statement attached to my complaint. I have a deferred principal of {$220000.00} and a regular principal of XXXX. I gave an interest of 2 % only on regular principal XXXX that will expire on XXXX XXXX, 2017. My payment is based only my regular principal of XXXX. I have a XXXX on the same property with XXXX with a balance of {$55000.00}. This is really deceptive what they did to me. I accepted it back the because otherwise, I would my house. Based on the underwater status of our mortgage, reducing the principal amount of our loan is the fairest way to reduce payments. If necessary, we can look at a combination of reducing the principal and adjusting the interest rate or length of the loan to facilitate reduced payments which is our immediate goal. This option allows us to work together and stay in our home for years to come while avoiding the time and expense of a foreclosure lawsuit for the bank with little or nothing to gain. The appraised value of the property is {$160000.00}.

Consumer Complaint: My XXXX mortgage on a home I own was sold from XXXX company to another. XXXX No, this is not my specific complaint. ) The information provided to the new company that assumed the loan was grossly incorrect, and as a result of this, the new company sent a letter to the tenants of the home ( I rent it XXXX stating that the home was in jeopardy of being foreclosed on. Thankfully the tenant immediately contacted the property manager who in turn contacted me. ( I was able to immediately make the necessary payment to restore the account, the NEW account. ) Complaint facts:XXXX The address that Ocwen ( the company that had the loan ) provided was a no-longer-valid address for my ex-wife, who had moved out of that address BEFORE Ocwen even assumed the loan. XXXX This address was NEVER provided to Ocwen ; I suspect they did an internet search or credit check to find this address. ) XXXX. My ex-wife never made a single payment to this mortgage, so identifying her and her ( no longer valid address ) makes even less sense. XXXX. I provided Ocwen my correct address, email address, phone number, and bank information several times over the XXXX month period Ocwen had this loan ; and none of my information changed during this 18-month period. XXXX. I did not, as a result of Ocwen 's inability to keep track of my personal information, receive any notification from them that the loan had been transferred. XXXX. I use online banking to pay my mortgages, and by far, Ocwen has been the most difficult and least responsive mortgage company I have ever dealt with in the XXXX years I have had a personal home mortgage.

I have never paid one payment on loan XXXX and I filed complaint number XXXX with this office which is currently under review. Since Ocwen filed its response to complaint XXXX they modified loan number XXXX without a request from me and without any acceptance of the modification. I became aware of the modification when I logged on line to Ocwen.com and looked at the mortgage account statement. The statement shows that I have already missed one trial modification payment in the amount of XXXX and have a current payment due in the amount of XXXX that is due now. Ocwen did not mail this statement to me, they did not mail modification papers to me to sign etc.

Consumer Complaint: We recently sold our house on XXXX XXXX and OCWEN is the mortgage servicer. Complete payoff was sent on XXXX XXXX to OCWEN. We had to file a complaint with the CFPB just to force OCWEN to process the payment and show that our loan was paid in full. Now, OCWEN is holding {$340.00} of overpayment in a " suspense '' balance. They have had this money since XXXX XXXX and have paid us an escrow refund but not the suspense money owed to us. They also received a refund of our property taxes of {$600.00} paid on XXXX XXXX. That money has not been returned to us. OCWEN has now had the " suspense '' money for over XXXX month and the property tax refund for at least XXXX weeks. On a payment reconciliation report OCWEN provided to us through another CFPB complaint, dated XXXX XXXX, OCWEN did not even show receipt of the property tax refund. Once again, OCWEN is sitting on money owed to us - effectively stealing our money and earning interest on our money. With today 's technology there is no reason a mortgage cant be paid in full with all suspense moneys and refund monies being paid back within XXXX weeks. Our last complaint through CFPB ended with OCWEN admitting they had a system error. Is this another system error, or another way to earn interest on monies owed to consumers?

Consumer Complaint: Mortgage was paid off several years ago, Originated with GMAC and transferred/sold to Ocwen, all XXXX # 's from GMAC are answered by Ocwen and they can not find the mortgage based on the GMAC loan number or the FHA Loan number. This property is being probated, I am the court appointed administrator of the estate trying to clear the estate. GMAC/Ocwen is in violation of Arizona Revised Statutes requiring a release to be recorded within 30 days of its satisfaction. I am asking for your assistance to get some where with Ocwen, their reputation supercedes their name is lousy servicing and this is another example of Ocwen 's blatant disregard to consumer rights and Arizona State Law/Statutes
