Consumer Complaint: Refinanced in 2013, and another mortgage co.bought that mortgage contract. They raised my monthly payment from? XXXX a mo. To {$1600.00} a mo..they say I was behind in my escrow. Never missed a payment and had to pay XXXX months of escrow when I refinanced.they said if I payed the extra {$160.00} a mo. For XXXX months, it would go back to {$1400.00} a month. Now I 'm paying {$1500.00} a month and I want the money back. I also want them to honor the original contract and make my payment {$1400.00} again.

Consumer Complaint: A payment of {$1500.00} was sent to Ocwen on XXXX/XXXX/15 as an additional principal payment on my loan. another payment of {$1800.00} was sent on XXXX/XXXX/15 as the actuall mortgage payment. Ocwen added a fee of {$49.00} to my statement assuming that the {$1500.00} was the true mortgage payment of {$1500.00}. They adjusted it, yet continually re-add the {$49.00} fee to my statements so my principal balance is always {$49.00} higher than should be. In frustration I sent a letter to ocwen on XXXX disputing, and they continue to say account is corret.

Consumer Complaint: I originally sought a modification of my mortgage due to a drastic reduction of income XX/XX/XXXX. I fell behind in my mortgage XX/XX/XXXX and immediately began the modification process. The process has been comlicated by repeated errors of IndyMac and repeated requests for documentation which has previously been submitted. Moreover, once the Federal Government required the assignment of a single point of contact. IndyMacXXXX/ repeatedly changed the contact person. I have submitted in excess of fifteen modification applications with all supporting documentation. Each time the servicer of the loan makes a generic determination that a document is stale or incomplete without providing specific information on the alleged error or missing information. Later I found that your agency, CFPB closed my complaint despite repeated requests that it remain open when the servicer provided another boilerplate and non-responsive reply.

Consumer Complaint: Loan Number: Ocwen Loan Servicing, LLC THIS IS A COPY OF THE XXXX LETTER I HAVE SENT OCWEN TRYING TO RESOLVE OUR SITUATION. THE XXXX LETTER WAS SENT ON XX/XX/XXXX WITH COPIES OF OUR CHAPTER XXXX COMPLETION AND DISCHARGE LETTER AND ALSO A COPY OF PAYMENTS MADE THROUGH OUR CHAPTER XXXX WHICH SHOWED THE PRINCIPAL PAID TOWARD OUR MORTGAGE. MY WIFE AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY TYPE OF RESPONSE TO OUR DISPUTES. ONLY A LETTER STATING WE ARE IN DEFAULT ON OUR MORTGAGE DUE NOT MAKE OUR XX/XX/XXXX AND XX/XX/XXXX PAYMENTS. THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE BECAUSE THE BANKRUPTCY WAS JUST LIFTED FROM OCWEN ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO OR AT LEAST WHEN I CONTACTED OCWEN 2 WEEKS AGO THEY ACTUALLY SAID THAT THE ACCOUNT WAS STILL SHOWING IT WAS STILL IN CHAPTER XXXX. AT THAT POINT I WAS TOLD THAT WE DO NOT HAVE ANY HOUSE PAYMENTS DUE AND WE WOULD NOT HAVE XXXX DUE UNTIL WE RECEIVED A STATEMENT IN THE MAIL. WHEN I HUNG THE PHONE UP, I HAD A SENSE OF CALM THINKING THAT MY WIFE AND I HAVE COMPLETED OUR CHAPTER XXXX AFTER 5 YEARS OF PAYMENTS AND THE ONLY THING WE HAVE LEFT TO PAY FOR IS OUR MORTGAGE. AFTER BEING ASSURED BY OCWEN THAT WE DID NOT OWE ANY HOUSE PAYMENTS ON XX/XX/2015 BECAUSE THE BANKRUPTCY HAD NOT BEEN LIFTED, WE RECEIVED BY CERTIFIED MAIL A LETTER FROM OCWEN STATING THAT WE ARE IN DEFAULT AND OWE XXXX TO BECOME CURRENT!!! THIS IS NOT THE ONLY MISTAKE THAT IS IRRITATING. AS I MENTIONED ABOVE, OUR BANKRUPTCY PAYMENT RECORDS INDICATE THAT WE PAID OVER $XXXX TOWARD THE PRINCIPLE OF OUR HOUSE WHICH WOULD LEAVE US A PAYOFF OF ABOUT $XXXX,XXXX. OCWEN DID NOT APPLY OUR PAYMENTS TO PRINCIPLE AND THEY HAVE OUR CURRENT PAYOFF AT AROUND XXXX. A COPY OF XXXX LETTER BELOW. Ocwen Research Department, My wife and I received a letter in the mail today stating that we are delinquent by XXXX days on our mortgage payment. I find this to be impossible and I am disputing the amount that is currently due because we were just discharged from chapter XXXX bankruptcy last month. I have made XXXX attempts to call ocwen in the past month to check into our loan status to see when our XXXX payment was going to be due. The XXXX attempt I made was on XX/XX/2015 at XXXX central time and spoke with an ocwen representative for XXXX according to my phone records. At this time, the ocwen representative stated that our account was pending due to chapter XXXX bankruptcy and he could not release any information about the account until it was released by the court. I advised the ocwen representative at that time that I wanted to make sure that we were not going to get blind sided by a letter like we just received stating that we were behind on our mortgage payment. I was assured that no payment was currently due for the month of XX/XX/XXXX because it had not been released by the court. This conversation took place XXXX days ago. So, this should make our XXXX mortgage payment due in XX/XX/XXXX. Please kindly fix this error and correct any late fees and any other charges that has been applied to our account. We have no problem making our payment at this point in our lives and would appreciate your attention to this matter. Our XXXX payment after bankruptcy should be in XX/XX/XXXX. You may reach me anytime on my cell. On another note, I faxed in a letter about the principal amount on our house differing between what ocwen has and what our chapter XXXX bankruptcy has. We have never received any type of answer from that particular situation that I addressed with ocwen almost a month ago. Our chapter XXXX bankruptcy had us paying our entire bankruptcy payment straight to principle which would leave us with a loan balance somewhere around $XXXX. Ocwen did not apply our entire house payment to principle. They have our loan balance around $XXXX I faxed in the paperwork from the bankruptcy stating what was payed to principle. We would appreciate your attention to this matter also.

Consumer Complaint: I was recently turned down for a loan to pay for my son 's college indicating a past foreclosure. In viewing my credit report, I saw that GMAC Mortgage incorrectly reported the home as a foreclosure in XXXX. Our home was a short sale that closed on XXXX/XXXX/2011. XXXX months prior to their reporting. GMAC no longer services their home mortgages and I am unable to find the right avenue to have this information changed. I have my HUD XXXX settlement statement to prove my statement. I have disputed with the credit bureaus but I 've been told, this is somehow a " coding '' issue where a short sale vs. foreclosure is reported. Do I have any recourse to have the information reported correctly?

Consumer Complaint: I applied for a mortgage modification in XX/XX/XXXX. It took two plus years for them to process all of my paperwork. The relationship manager said I had XXXX make XXXX payments in order for the loan to be modified, I made all payments and submitted all forms as requested. I never received anything from Ocwen saying the loan was modified, I sent several emails to my relationship manager as well as calling customer service, the last email I received from my relationship manager in XXXX stated the loan was being modified and I would be receiving payment coupons soon, what I received was a letter in XXXX stating I owed {$3000.00} dollars in back payments and the loan was modified as of XX/XX/XXXX. I asked how that was possible, I submitted all email correspondence to several relationship managers and the research department, I have proof of the payments made through XXXX as requested by the relationship manager, when requested by the relationship manager for Ocwen. My credit has been negatively impacted, my loan is in default again, and the company will not offer reasonable resolutions based on their errors, poor communication, several different relationship managers and customer service representatives handling the matter, and based on the fact I submitted all payments and documents when requested.

Consumer Complaint: I had filed a complaint months ago. I thought we were working toward a solution. everything was going along fine until early XXXX 2015. I received a call from the person at Ocwen who 'd been assisting us. She told me I had to pay {$4500.00} dollars to satisfy the investors. Problem was I had to call her the next day which I did but she was not available due to a XXXX in Texas. She 'd also given me the name of another contact which I tried to contact as well but he was n't available either. I waited for some XXXX to return my call but it never happened. I eventually made a payment ( a week or so later ) not knowing exactly what to do. I made XXXX payment for the " normal '' monthly payment. It was declined. Since then I have made several attempts to come to some sort of resolve to no avail. Over the past XXXX I have received calls from Ocwen once telling me I have to pay them {$7000.00}. The following week they said I have to pay them {$20000.00}. They are no longer taking payments and I fear I will lose my home.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of 2014 we FINALLY came to an agreement with Ocwens lawyer, XXXX XXXX from the XXXX in XXXX, NC to modifiy our mortgage. This modification agreement was subject to a dialogue to get clarification regarding the escrow. On XXXX XXXX, 2014 the Ocwen lawyer XXXX XXXX finally was able to get clarification from their client that stated that : " The answer to your question is that the escrow shortage has been made part of the new outstanding principal balance due under the modification. The shortage ( which was identified in his XXXX/XXXX/14 email to be ( {$39000.00} ) ) will get repaid during the life of the loan upon repayment of principal and interest. " However, just a few months later they have wrongfully increased the escrow by 75 %. I have contacted them and over the course of two weeks still can not get this corrected despite forwarding these clarifications to them and several conversations with their escalation specialist XXXX XXXX. So once again the mortgage servicing is XXXX up and Im using my time to XXXX it as well as pay the increase in the interim because their system will not allow for a short payment. While XXXX XXXX is quite nice she doesnt have the ability to undersand the problem nor authority to correct it. She says she will call back in 5 days with better clarification. Im not holding my breath. I guess I need to again hire a lawyer. What a stupid mess.
