Consumer Complaint: I have a mortgage that was modified in XXXX XXXX through the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX program. I was promised a " Borrower Incentive '' of {$83.00} per month accrued as a monthly benefit to my mortgage loan to reduce principal and to be applied each of the XXXX through the XXXX anniversaries of the month in which the Trial Period Plan was executed ( XXXX XXXX ). Although the incentive has been applied it has not been applied in full for any of the anniversary dates other than XXXX. The loan was originally modified by AHMSI, American Home Mortgage Servicing Inc, then went to Homeward Residential and now is with Ocwen. I can see documented and the Incentive applied as follows : XXXX/XXXX/XXXX {$910.00} ( Homeward Residential *attached ) XXXX/XXXX/XXXX {$830.00} ( Ocwen *attached ) XXXX/XXXX/XXXX {$910.00} ( Ocwen *attached ) XXXX/XXXX/XXXX {$1000.00} ( Ocwen *attached ) XXXX/XXXX/XXXX {$5000.00} ( Ocwen *attached XXXX Treasury additional incentive applied on 6th yr anniversary ) https : //www.makinghomeaffordable.govXXXX I am unable to verify the Incentive was applied in XXXX, the first anniversary and the first Incentive payment due, and most of the amounts that have been applied do not equal the Borrower Incentive as promised. I have asked my mortgage company for details and have been unable to find resolution.

Consumer Complaint: I applied twice for a mortgage modification for my Ocwen loan which I desperately needed. Both times I was told I could not get a modification because I was n't late on any payments. Both times they told me I had to be make late payments ( or no payments ) for 2 months. ( this information is on several recorded phone calls. ) As I understand it, the banks are not allowed to force you to make late payments. The third time I applied I met the criteria of being late 2 months and I was given a modification. In the interim my credit card companies all lowered my balance amount so I ended up with almost no credit for emergencies. This too pushed the score down even further. I can not imagine how long it will take me to recover my good credit. I would have qualified the firs time I applied had they not insisted that I make late of skip 2 payments. I did have an ARM. Each application I ended up with probably 6 different people as my point of contact. You can not get help over the phone. The people who answer are very difficult to understand as XXXX is their XXXX language. If you have questions, there is no one to talk to.

Consumer Complaint: We are selling my mothers home and need the payoff amount from Ocwen financial. I 've been calling for two months trying to get a response but to no avail. This week we are supposed to be closing and we still have n't had any response from Ocwen. All we need from them is to verbally confirm the amount and fax over some paperwork to the escrow company.

Consumer Complaint: This is a continued complaint from CFPB case # XXXX. I was offered a loan Modification by my loan servicing company in XX/XX/XXXX. I happily agreed to the modification terms and have been in good standing ever since. I recently decided to list my home for sale and I found that the second mortgage lien had never been removed from my property. I contact my loan servicing company ( Ocwen Mortgage Loan Servicing ) and asked why it had not be taken care of during the modification process. They told me that they had nothing to do with a second mortgage and that is why it was not a part of the modification. I told them that it is a part of the modification process to address second mortgages ( the first and second belong to the same company - XXXX and were serviced by the same servicing company Litton Loan Servicing ). They did some digging into the file and they found the charged off loan. I was then told that it belonged to a collection agency by the name of XXXX. I called XXXX and they stated that it was a unenforceable debt and that it is now in the name of Ocwen. They said that it was given to them when they took over servicing for Litton Loan Servicing. I then sent Ocwen a QWR for information on both the XXXX and XXXX mortgage. Now Ocwen is telling me that XXXX as trustee for XXXX is the owner of this lien and they provided ( through a QWR ) the contact information of XXXX, XXXX, IL XXXX with a phone number of XXXX. They state that they are servicing the discharge loan for XXXX. I have attempted to reach XXXX with this information and the contact information is incorrect. I bank with XXXX Bank and have asked for their assistance with this matter but have not received any information at this time. It is my belief that XXXX served as the trustee for XXXX while they were in Bankruptcy ( XXXX BK case # XXXX ). This case was finalized by the Bankruptcy XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. Now Ocwen 's Attorney are telling my Attorney that they want to collect the full balance of the loan. I feel that they have deceived me with the promise of a modified loan and now that the market has changed and the market value of my home has increased they are trying to collect moneys for a XXXX debt that I was told by the previous servicer was being removed. I need your assistance with this matter. Ocwen is once again creating hardship for a home owner with their unfair practices.

Consumer Complaint: Hoping for a mortgage modification that is affordable. Submitted all the paperwork to Ocwen back in XXXX 2016 as of yet nothing has occurred. I had a hamp before " not affordable '' so I know it does n't take this long. I have complied with all their demands. The sale date of my home has been cancelled 4 times. there is a pending sale date for the XXXX of XXXX. When I call Ocwen they state that the foreclosure proceeding is on hold and the modification is under review. My relationship manager does not understand why it is taking so long. I am afraid the sale date will approach and a resolution will not have been achieved.

Consumer Complaint: The lender has stated as of today XXXX/XXXX/XXXX the clients file was denied due to the active sale date on the loan - I advised the lender that this file has been in review for over 2 months with them continuously requesting docs to be updated and provided - I was advised on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX that the sale date was on hold/postponed and the file was in review, that noting was needed for that review. We have left several messages for the relationship manager assigned to the file with loss mitt with never receiving a response - I spoke to a rep today that advised the loan was denied a modification because of the sale date and that I should just resend the package and hope for the best ....

Consumer Complaint: I used to think I was really good at finances but have come to the conclusion that I am gulable to people that make things sound like a good deal. It turns out that I realize that the person who helped me with my home loan back in 2004 was quite the sweet talker. He convinced me that changing to XXXX I could save money by consolidating all my bills and vehicle payments into one payment. I should have realized that most mortgage people do n't call you up at XXXX and talk to you until past XXXX putting in family talk along with business. The first time this happened I was happy because I was underwater with credit card bills and he said he could make everything go away. I was self employed and no other bank would help me. He said he would handle the whole thing. He got my payment at {$750.00} which I thought was great but thought some of the fees were high but he said it was just the way he put figures around to make it pay all closing costs etc. XXXX XXXX had just helped my girlfriend who was unemployed save her house and she said it would be worth it so I did. A few years later he once again was approaching my friend and helped her again this time she was XXXX and still unemployed. He asked her if I might be interested in refinancing and I fell for his sweet talk and refinanced. I have had at least XXXX different mortgage companies including XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, Homecomings, XXXX, and my current worst of all Ocwen Loan Servicing. Ocwen has given me false information and recently since I have become XXXX led me to believe I could get help with the Obama refi. I 'm only allowed to talk to my relationship manager XXXX XXXX and that 's by appointment. Another long story where it takes almost 4 weeks for each appointment. This last appointment when I took him up on his promise to remove some charges if I could come up with the amount I was behind he practically called me a liar. Is there anyway I do anything?

Consumer Complaint: I have been trying for years to get my mortgage company ( Ocwen ) to work with me due to income loss in my family. I tried for years to get a loan modification but they refused to grant it, stating that because I missed a mortgage payment I was in-eligible. I then applied for a short sale and they finally approved it XX/XX/XXXX but unfortunately the buyer decided not to move forward. I then hired another realtor to put the home back on the market and we got a contract right away. I called Ocwen to inquire if there was an auction date for the pending foreclosure and they told me no date had been set. I requested a short sale package and they told me to download the package and that they would also mail one out to me ( but they never mailed one out ). I had just completed the package when I got a certified letter on Saturday XX/XX/XXXX with a notice of an auction date for XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX. I called Ocwen immediately and spoke to an escalation manager who then told me that they had called a number that I have never had or used. He told me that the sale date was set on XX/XX/XXXX but I was told on XX/XX/XXXX that there was no sale date. I then called Ocwen this morning ( Monday XX/XX/XXXX ) to ask for the current contract to be considered and they told me that they would deny it. I am a single mom with XXXX young boys who have been trying to get Ocwen to work with me but it has been the biggest challenge and now they want to foreclose on me even though I have a contract of sale. I am asking for representation to appeal to Ocwen to cancel the sale date and work with the contract of sale that we currently have. I am currently living in the property with my young sons.

Consumer Complaint: Filed for Chapter XXXX bankruptcy XX/XX/XXXX Loan servicer ( Ocwen ) offered a modification XX/XX/XXXX. The modification was to begin XX/XX/XXXX. It was to end XX/XX/XXXX. Accepted modification completing all specified steps required to do so. Mortgage payment statement changed XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX the Ocwen statement increased by over {$1400.00} US. Ocwen stated that the period of an interest-only agreement had ended. We agreed to a modification not a 5 year only interest only agreement. I am making the payment ( XXXX ) consistent with the modification agreement. I have retained in hopes that the matter could be resolved quickly without destroying mat already-poor credit rating. Both the lawyer and the servicer are unresponsive. Meanwhile it looks as if we may lose our home. We are receiving frequent notices of default.
