Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Public record information inaccurate
Consumer Complaint: I submitted multiple request to the major bureaus ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX ) about the incorrect Bankruptcy information listed on my reports. I submitted files directly from the courthouse showcasing the error they stated was correct after asking them to investigate my file. They directed me to LexisNexis since they verified it as being correct multiple times during their investigation. I reached out to LexisNexis after reviewing the report they sent me in XX/XX/2020 and then asking them to verify its accuracy. LexisNexis never replied back to my multiple inquiries about why theyre reporting it accurate to the bureau yet wont show me where theyre getting this information from. I even went to the court house pointed out the multiple errors and incorrect information in writing back in XX/XX/2020. After no reply within 45 days i reached out to them again XX/XX/2020 requesting they investigate and validate the information directly with the courthouse. They havent responded back to me neither times within 45 days. I recently sent a third request XX/XX/2020

Consumer Complaint: LexisNexis is reporting 2 accidents as At-Fault, however there was lawsuits paid by the defendants insurance due to them being at fault. I contacted LexisNexis and they even said they are listed as No Fault, however there is an error and they are being sent out on the reports as BLANK, and left up to the insurance company to decide how they want to classify these. Driving record, and all other reports list them as No Fault, except LexisNexis. I contacted LexisNexis to resolve this, and they said it is up to the insurance carrier to correct it. However LexisNexis is the one reporting the inaccurate information, and according to the insurance company, it is up to LexisNexis to resolve it.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX added a fruad alert, as have others with all of these breeches. I never authorized ANY alert. XXXX reefuses to remove the alert. yes, my id was stolen, as my ssn numbers- however, that does not give anyone permission at any company to refuse acces to my files in any way due to panic mode at their company. remove all blocks and alerts. I am being denied credit due to this, which is unlawful. Furthermore disputed information is fraudulently being re aged and re certified. IT MUST BE REMOVED. THE DEBT IS CHALLENGED- if companies will not comply in CORRECTLY REPORTING THE DATA- and they have not so far for years, then it must by law- be removed.

Consumer Complaint: Good day. I called my bank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) to increase my withdrawal limit on cash advances as well as atm transactions. They require an identification with personal information along with a set of 4 questions operated by lexisnexis. I apparently answered one of their questions incorrectly according to their records. The complaint is 2-fold, I answered the questions correctly so either the person at the bank made a mistake or their data is flawed. The 2nd portion of this is the item that I am most concerned about, one of the questions asked was which of these people do I know. I didn't know any of them but, asking this type of question and storing this type of data about me is wholly inappropriate. I suspect that this is the question that I answered incorrectly against their records but for identification verification this type of question should not be asked and should not be considered good practice.

Consumer Complaint: I have disputed information with a third party reporting agency lexis nexis that was not able to verify or validate public records information. The company removed most of the unverified information in XXXX on my consumer report but not with the bureaus. As investigations continued none of the reported information could be verified and it was completely removed from my consumer report. The company has sent me proof of the removal but has not removed the information from the bureaus even after multiple disputes surpassing the 30 day investigation time. I have tried on numerous occasions to contact lexis nexis to get a resolution from the manual disputes they entered to the bureaus via electronic reporting but, always placed on a dead hold for an extended amount of time with no person on the line but call still intacted.

Issue: Improper use of your report
Subissue: Report provided to employer without your written authorization
Consumer Complaint: On or about XX/XX/XXXX, I reviewed my XXXX credit file and noticed an inquiry dated XX/XX/XXXX performed by a company named XXXX. My employer uses this search company and I suspected that an employee had performed an unauthorized credit personal information search. I researched XXXX and found out it is part of the LexisNexis company and proceeded to contact them by phone. I spoke with a representative who advised me the would look into the situation and I proceeded to file an inquiry with them ( LexisNexis Consumer Number XXXX ). On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a response from LexisNexis advising me that they had completed their investigation and had been unable to locate any inquiry on XX/XX/XXXX ( Attached ). I did not immediately realize LexisNexis was citing the wrong date. Several weeks later I contacted LexisNexis to advise them of the incorrect date. The customer service representative looked up my Consumer Number and advised they would investigate the correct date. After several months, I once again contacted LexisNexis for a response. I was given the runaround but that I would receive a written response. Another several weeks went by and again I called LexisNexis and given more excuses. This time, however, they did provide a written response, dated XX/XX/XXXX, stating that in response to my inquiry they had contacted XXXX, XXXX and XXXX for a response and not received one from any of those companies. Neither of those companies had anything thing to do with my inquiry ( with the exception XXXX who was merely reporting the inquiry ). Those companies did not initiate the inquiries, their own subsidiary XXXX was used by their own client for the unauthorized inquiry. I have also contacted my employer regarding the unauthorized inquiry but they have stated they have no record of an entry regarding a report on me on that date in their logbook. Of course the individual who did the unauthorized inquiry would likely not have entered it into the logbook, which does not speak very highly of their internal controls. I need LexisNexis to confirm who requested the unauthorized inquiry of my information through their subsidiary XXXX.
